Chapter 183 Feng Jin's Strangeness

Cai Qing’s startled cry almost deafened Feng Jin.

“What’s the matter, jumping like that?” Feng Jin rubbed her almost-deafened ears.

“Young Madam, what… what happened to your neck?”

Cai Qing pointed at Feng Jin’s neck, her voice full of shock.

Feng Jin touched her neck and felt a slight pain. She quickly got out of bed and ran to the mirror.

Seeing herself in the mirror, her mouth fell open and remained that way for a long time.

Her neck was covered in red love bites, some parts tinged with a purplish hue. Against her fair skin, they looked even more alarming.

“Young Madam, I’ll get you some ointment to apply.”

Cai Qing snapped out of her shock, quickly took ointment from a box, and began to apply it to Feng Jin’s neck.

“How did you get such bad marks? Oh! This part is bruised, and here too…”

As Cai Qing applied the ointment, she kept muttering, completely unaware of how the injury occurred.

Feng Jin, as the person involved, knew exactly where these bruises came from.

Especially hearing Cai Qing talk about it so innocently, Feng Jin’s face, thick as a city wall, couldn’t help but blush.

“Cai Qing, you can go. I can manage myself.”

Unable to bear it any longer, Feng Jin took the ointment from Cai Qing and found an excuse to send her out. If Cai Qing continued to mutter, she would truly be mortified.

Feng Jin held the bronze mirror, carefully examining her neck covered in red marks. How was she supposed to face people outside?

Applying layers upon layers of makeup, the love bites remained visible. Feng Jin was despairing. She searched through all her clothes but couldn’t find anything that could cover them.

From the bottom of the cabinet, she found a fur-collared scarf. It could cover it slightly, but it was far too warm.

“Young Madam, it’s time to eat.”

Seeing Feng Jin not coming out, Cai Qing, guarding the door, couldn’t help but call out.

After a moment, the door opened from the inside. Feng Jin was wrapped up like a polar bear, incredibly thick.

“Young Madam, you’re usually so afraid of the heat, why are you dressed so warmly today?”

A hint of embarrassment flickered across Feng Jin’s face. She coughed lightly and said, “I feel a bit cold today, so I dressed warmly.”

“Cold?” Cai Qing looked puzzled. It was after the beginning of spring, the weather was gradually warming up, and today the sun was strong, not cold at all. Wearing a whole set of winter clothes, she already felt a bit hot.

“Young Madam, could you be ill? That’s why you feel cold. Should I call a doctor?”

“Call a doctor for what? My medical skills are much better than those quacks. I’m sure I’m not ill. Let’s go eat first.”

Not wanting to continue the topic, Feng Jin skipped over it and walked forward quickly.

In the hall, Feng Jin, with a thick fur collar around her neck, looked out of place among the others.

“Sister-in-law, aren’t you hot?” Ling Wan hesitated for a long time before asking.

Feng Jin picked up a piece of fish with her chopsticks and put it into her mouth, casually saying, “Not hot, I feel just right.”

As her words fell, unnoticed by others, Feng Jin tidied the stray strands of hair at her forehead, subtly wiping away sweat, and pretended nothing was wrong.

This meal was arguably the most uncomfortable meal Feng Jin had ever eaten. Every moment was like an ordeal, especially since most of the dishes on the table were spicy and irritating. Feng Jin’s back was soaked with sweat, sticking to her clothes, making her extremely uncomfortable.

Therefore, after finishing the meal, Feng Jin left in a hurry. As soon as she returned to her room, she took a hot bath, washing away all the sweat, and only then did she feel much more comfortable.

Ling Mo Han, that damned instigator, she didn’t want to see him again.

As the saying goes, people can’t help but be thought of. Just as Feng Jin was cursing Ling Mo Han in her heart, the man appeared before her in the blink of an eye.

“I heard from Cai Qing that you’re not feeling well, what’s wrong?”

Feng Jin snorted coldly, ignoring him, and merely shot him a big white eye. She then sat down in a chair, her back to the man.

“Are you angry?” Ling Mo Han acutely sensed her strangeness and sat opposite her, asking.

Feng Jin lifted her eyelids and glared at him fiercely. Wasn’t he asking the obvious? What useless nonsense.

“How dare I be angry with the Young General? If you get angry, you’ll kick me out again, and then my son and I will be left to wander the streets.”

Feng Jin said sarcastically, looking at Ling Mo Han with no pleasant expression.

That damned scoundrel, he made her the object of everyone’s attention as soon as she went out.

Ling Mo Han glanced at Feng Jin, and only then did he notice the ambiguous red marks on her neck. The frenzied scene of last night was still vivid in his mind. The man coughed lightly to conceal his discomfort, “About last night…”

“Shut up! Don’t mention last night again!”

As if touching a sore spot, Feng Jin immediately bristled. She stood up abruptly, hands on her hips, glaring at the man with a murderous look.

“Okay… I won’t mention it. Get up from the chair slowly, don’t disturb the fetus!”

She was already seven months pregnant, and Feng Jin’s belly was becoming more and more prominent. It even looked larger than that of an ordinary pregnant woman. Ling Mo Han even suspected that Feng Jin was carrying twins.

He quickly helped Feng Jin sit down. Now, any slight movement from Feng Jin would make his heart clench tightly.

“You only care about your son. You can go back with your son for the rest of your life!”

The anger in her chest burned even hotter. Since she became pregnant, Ling Mo Han had focused solely on the child, with less and less concern for her.

“I’m not…”

“Shut up, I don’t want to hear your explanation. Get out, get out!” Feng Jin pushed and shoved, trying to drive Ling Mo Han out.

Fearing that their pushing and shoving would affect the fetus in Feng Jin’s womb, Ling Mo Han kept dodging.

“Alright, stop throwing a tantrum. I really know I was wrong.”

Taking advantage of Feng Jin’s inattention, Ling Mo Han reached out, held Feng Jin in his arms, and leaned affectionately on her shoulder. “In my heart, you are the most important. I care about the child because it is our child, the continuation of our lives. This is out of love for you extending to it.”

Ling Mo Han’s words were very pleasing to Feng Jin. With just a few words, he made Feng Jin happy, sweeping away all her previous gloom.

“Not angry anymore?”

Feng Jin turned her head, her tone laced with shyness, “Given your satisfactory performance this time, I’ll forgive you for now, but it still depends on your future actions.”

“Whatever my wife says.” After speaking, Ling Mo Han kissed Feng Jin on the cheek.

“I just said it depends on your performance, and you’re already getting carried away.”
