Ling Mohan paused, then felt something was missing and continued, "Even unrelated people are not allowed to be seen. If it is absolutely unavoidable, you must inform me first and obtain your husband's consent before you can meet him. Also..."
Ling Mohan rambled on about many things, almost to the point of demanding that Feng Jin never leave the house.
"Are you done?" Feng Jin propped her chin on her hand and glanced at the garrulous Ling Mohan, wondering if he wasn't tired from talking so much.
"That's all for now. I'll tell you if I think of anything else," Ling Mohan said after some thought.
Feng Jin sighed helplessly, "Do you remember what your third point was?"
Ling Mohan paused slightly, trying to recall, but couldn't remember anything. He said somewhat awkwardly, "That's not important. You just need to remember the most crucial point: from now on, you are not allowed to have any contact with other men, understand?"
As he spoke the last sentence, Ling Mohan reached out and pinched Feng Jin's face, saying it with all seriousness.
With her face pinched, Feng Jin's words became somewhat slurred, "Let go... let go!"
She smacked his wrist with force, then rubbed her aching face, thinking how hard this scoundrel could be. She was certain her cheek must be swollen now.
"Did you remember what I just told you?"
Ling Mohan grabbed Feng Jin's wrist and persistently pressed her for an answer.
"I've remembered it all. Can you let go first? I want to go check on the two children."
She hadn't seen her two treasures all day. She had planned to see them as soon as she got back, but Ling Mohan had cornered her for so long, talking all this useless nonsense.
"I'll go with you."
Upon receiving a positive answer, Ling Mohan's mood instantly improved, and he accompanied Feng Jin to see the two little ones.
"Young General, Young Madam, the young master has just fallen asleep." Cai Qing was guarding the bedside. Seeing Feng Jin and Ling Mohan enter, she cautiously stood up, afraid of waking the child.
Feng Jin tiptoed to sit in front of the child and reached out to touch Da Bao's round little face. It was soft and incredibly cute.
Er Bao next to him seemed to feel neglected and immediately scrunched up his little face, bursting into tears with a loud wail. Startled, Feng Jin quickly shifted her attention to Er Bao, gently patting him to soothe his emotions.
After a while, Er Bao's crying subsided slightly, though his little nose still snuffled, and he drifted off to sleep with a hint of grievance.
Looking at Er Bao's adorable little movements, Feng Jin's heart melted.
The two little ones were truly incredibly cute. Seeing them seemed to make all her troubles disappear.
After watching the children for a long time, Feng Jin was forcibly pulled back to their room by Ling Mohan.
"Speak, what is it that you had to drag me back for?"
Feng Jin's tone was filled with dissatisfaction. Ever since the children got a bit older, Ling Mohan had moved them out. She only had a chance to see them during the day. Now that she finally had some alone time, it was ruined by the third wheel, Ling Mohan.
"You've been watching them for an hour, that's enough," Ling Mohan said sourly. Ever since these two troublemakers arrived, Feng Jin's attention to him had been decreasing.
Any chance for them to be alone was always ruined by the children.
Ling Mohan leaned closer to Feng Jin, and his hands began to roam restlessly.
"What are you doing? It tickles..." Feng Jin quickly grabbed his troublesome hand, "Stop it, I'm tired."
"Perfect, let's get into bed and sleep." As soon as he finished speaking, before Feng Jin could react, her whole body was lifted into the air. By the time she came to her senses, she was already lying on the bed, and the man's robust body was pressing down on her.
"Ling Mohan, what are you doing? Get up quickly!"
Feng Jin pushed against the man's pressure, trying to shove him away with all her might, but her efforts were negligible.
"Wife, you haven't spent time with me for several days."
The man's voice was incredibly magnetic. After speaking, he didn't forget to blow a puff of hot air into Feng Jin's ear, making her whole body tingle and tremble slightly.
"You... you get up... I can't breathe under you."
"Then how about... you lie on top of me?"
Ling Mohan looked down at Feng Jin and said with a serious expression.
Feng Jin's lips twitched uncontrollably. Imagining some suggestive scenes, a blush crept onto her cheeks. In a moment, Feng Jin's entire body turned red, like a boiled crab.
"Your face is so red, and you're burning up. Wife, are you too hot? Shall your husband help you cool down a bit?"
Ling Mohan's voice was magnetic and carried a hint of seduction, making Feng Jin feel weak all over, her consciousness becoming hazy.
The man leaned down and captured Feng Jin's red lips, savoring them intently. His large hands roamed her body with practiced ease.
A slight breeze blew, and Feng Jin suddenly felt a slight chill on her right shoulder. Her consciousness sharpened slightly. She pushed against the man, her voice hoarse, "Ling... Ling Mohan..."
She received no response from the man, only his slightly cool lips covering hers again.
...
The next morning, the little woman hidden in the bedding moved slightly, revealing her shoulder, and then rubbed her sleepy eyes with a ding.
Feng Jin forced her eyes open, then slowly closed them again. She moved her arms slightly, and a wave of unbearable soreness reminded her of the night's frenzy.
Damn Ling Mohan. Last night he was like a madman, and only stopped when dawn was breaking.
Feng Jin turned over, her whole body aching as if it had been taken apart and reassembled.
She reached out to touch the spot beside her; it was already devoid of any warmth.
Ling Mohan had been leaving very early these past two days. It was hard to even catch a glimpse of him with his early departures and late returns.
After lying in bed for a while longer, Feng Jin slowly got up. After washing up, for some unknown reason, she suddenly thought of going to the medical clinic.
The medical clinic was now running smoothly. Even without her presence, it was still bustling with customers, and her little private fund was filling up nicely.
"Sister-in-law, why are you here?" Ling Wan exclaimed loudly upon seeing Feng Jin.
"I came to take a look. Are you getting used to it here?"
"It's alright. My medical skills are just superficial. I can do simple tasks like dispensing medicine, but diagnosing and prescribing prescriptions is beyond me."
She knew her own limitations and was only competent at dispensing medicine.
"Don't rush, take your time. Learn more, practice more, and observe more. You'll make great progress in a while," Feng Jin said gently, her tone mild, lest she dampen Ling Wan's confidence.
