Chapter 30 Combat Plan

The three of them played all night.

Yet, there was no sign of fatigue on their faces.

Evolved individuals were full of energy; they could generally go two or three days without sleep.

Moreover, they had just emerged from a secret realm where they had slept for a night. These past few hours were equivalent to skipping an afternoon nap.

Wang Yu put down his phone and stretched.

"Let's go. We have a tough battle ahead of us today."

...

"Listen up, everyone. This is today's combat plan."

"If you don't give it your all and mess up, causing harm to others."

Wang Yu's stern gaze swept across everyone, his cold words devoid of emotion.

"I'll make an exception and send you out of this world myself."

Chen Youting and the others felt a jolt in their hearts and couldn't help but shiver.

Wang Yu had gathered everyone and meticulously explained today's combat strategy.

To put it simply, the plan was to lure the zombies, kill them, divide and conquer, until all the zombies in Dormitory Number 2 for males were eliminated.

First, the personnel arrangement.

After clearing the first floor, Wang Yu would be responsible for attracting a wave of zombies upstairs from the ground floor, where he would handle their elimination.

You Xinci and Chen Luoxue would lead a smaller group of males to lure some of the zombies from the first floor to the second floor, depending on the situation, and then snipe them on the second floor.

Finally, Chen Youting and Zhang Han would lead the majority of the males to lure some of the zombies from the second floor to the third floor.

This way, the zombies would be continuously drawn upstairs from the ground floor.

Wang Yu would bear the greatest pressure, followed by the two girls, while Chen Youting, Zhang Han, and the others would face the least pressure.

This was also based on everyone's strength.

According to Wang Yu's estimation, there shouldn't be any major problems.

After all, the stairwell was long enough. If they couldn't fight, they could retreat.

If they still couldn't fight, they could move through the corridors to other buildings, for example, from Building A to Building B.

If the zombie luring went smoothly, there would be no significant casualties today. At most, a few individuals with weaker strength or bad luck might get injured, poisoned, or die.

If it didn't go smoothly, the number of casualties might be higher.

The worst-case scenario would be a zombie uprising, triggering a small-scale zombie horde.

Zombies would continuously surge upstairs from the ground floor, even attracting zombies from outside the dormitory.

Of course, this possibility was very small, almost impossible.

Because the current level 0 zombies were truly unintelligent.

They could sense the presence of many living people upstairs.

However, they couldn't find the stairwell. Even if they found it, they didn't know how to climb stairs very well.

Generally, only three to four zombies would manage to climb from the first floor to the second floor in a whole day.

This was further complicated by the fact that there were only two exits in the corridor.

If they had to climb stairs from the ground floor to the first floor, the number would be even smaller.

They might wander on the ground floor all day, and barely one or two zombies would be able to find the entrance to the stairwell.

With the plan distributed, everyone took their positions.

Before Wang Yu went down to the first floor.

You Xinci and Chen Luoxue pulled Wang Yu, one on each side, and presented him with two kisses.

"Husband (Wang Yu), be careful."

Although Chen Luoxue was already sharing the intimacy with You Xinci, she still felt a bit unaccustomed to calling Wang Yu "husband."

After all, they had been his students just a few days ago, and she felt a little hesitant.

However, they were genuinely worried about Wang Yu. This was no joke.

Facing so many zombies alone in a narrow corridor.

And, most importantly, the first floor had no corridors connecting to other buildings.

There were only two stairwells, front and back, leading upstairs or down to the ground floor.

Therefore, Wang Yu could potentially face the danger of being attacked from both sides by the zombies.

Of course, if they knew that Wang Yu was a seasoned survivor of four years in the apocalypse.

These two kisses would definitely not have happened.

Wang Yu had done this kind of work, luring and then slowly killing zombies, countless times in his previous life.

He was already very skilled.

He patted the heads of the two girls, took out an ordinary long sword.

And turned to walk downstairs.

These common zombies didn't warrant the use of his fish-scale sword.

As soon as he arrived on the first floor, over a dozen zombies swarmed towards him from all directions.

Their faces were ferocious, their limbs flailing, like hungry ghosts who had starved for a lifetime seeing food.

Zombies were peculiar creatures. Their digestive systems were fast, but they didn't die from prolonged lack of food, and their bodies decayed very slowly.

It was unclear how they managed this.

Logically, a real corpse left out in the elements would start to decompose within days and turn to bone within half a month.

But zombies did not. Even after two years without eating or drinking, they would only show more obvious signs of decay.

Swish, swish, swish!

A few flashes of sword light, and the charging zombies fell one by one at Wang Yu's feet.

Then, he opened the doors of a few dorm rooms.

He continued to attract zombies upstairs.

Wang Yu didn't descend all the way to the ground floor. Instead, he stopped halfway down the stairwell and gently knocked on the wooden door of the stairwell.

Some nearby zombies were immediately attracted. Wang Yu killed them on the spot.

Their bodies fell in the stairwell, piling up into a small mound.

The commotion here attracted zombies from a bit further away.

They hurried towards this location as well.

Wang Yu then proceeded to kill them too.

Gradually, the pile of corpses grew higher and higher.

Blocking half the height of the stairwell.

"That's enough."

Wang Yu directly crossed the pile of corpses and jumped to the ground floor.

Instantly, many zombies spotted Wang Yu.

They rushed towards him with frenzied determination, their roars echoing continuously.

"H...uh..."

"Huh huh!"

Wang Yu sneered and jumped back into the stairwell.

This scene was very much like a famous scene from a movie.

"I jumped out, come hit me! Oops, I jumped back again, nya nya nya."

Of course, the zombies couldn't understand. They only knew that there was finally fresh flesh to feast on.

Zombies that hadn't eaten for two or three days were naturally very hungry and fierce.

But it was useless.

The sheer height of the corpse pile alone prevented half the zombies from entering the stairwell.

Those that could enter were immediately decapitated by Wang Yu, their bodies tumbling down, further increasing the corpse pile.

It could be said that Wang Yu alone was guarding the entire stairwell entrance...

"Sister, something doesn't feel right. What happened to luring the zombies up?"

Chen Luoxue's large eyes were filled with many question marks.

The plan was for Wang Yu to lure zombies up from the ground floor, and then they would lure some to the second floor.

Why was Wang Yu blocking the entire stairwell by himself?

Was he not going to let anyone kill zombies?

You Xinci was also a bit confused, but she was the elder sister now and needed to remain composed.

So, she pretended to be in the know.

"Little sister Luoxue, our husband is so strong. You should have expected this situation, shouldn't you?"

"Oh, right. I should have expected this might happen. Sister, you understand him better."

Chen Luoxue seemed to have a sudden realization and nodded, not forgetting to praise You Xinci.

You Xinci didn't reply but simply smiled.

Her expression, however, clearly conveyed the four words: "Of course."
