Chapter 582: Chapter 322 Differential Treatment
Giving Jin Yongnian a verbal guarantee wasn’t a big deal for Chen Feng.
Even if Jin Yongnian couldn’t repay in the future, Chen Feng wouldn’t bear any legal responsibility. Besides, Jin Yongnian had collateral, so at worst, the bank would handle it by the book.
So, this was just him asking Chairman Li for a favor. As a super VIP of Xiu Zhou Bank, Chen Feng had this leverage, after all, he still had more than seventy million in deposits with them.
The next day happened to be Saturday, and yesterday Chen Feng promised Jin Xinyan to take her out for a feast, kind of like a belated birthday celebration, so he had to keep his word.
They agreed to meet at noon.
In the morning, Chen Feng followed his biological clock and got up for some morning jogging. After running two laps in the villa community, he went back home.
It hadn’t rained much these days, so he mostly went out jogging every morning, but he hadn’t run into Hong Xiaodan again, which, while relieving, was also somewhat conflicting.
After all, how could he be completely put off by a rich, beautiful woman like Hong Xiaodan who pursued him so openly?
Previously, he treated her dismissively, even as if slapping her face in public, mainly because her persistence became too annoying.
It’s been a while since Hong Xiaodan left crying, and they hadn’t seen each other since. She also hadn’t done anything drastic.
It seemed her last "bold words" were merely to save face, and the danger appeared to have been averted. Yet Chen Feng didn’t truly feel glad about it.
Lately, he occasionally thought of Hong Xiaodan, not out of longing, but the memory of her expression and eyes as she left crying lingered with him.
Ever since he grew up, women only started pursuing him after his divorce, and the first serious one was Hong Xiaodan, definitely a rich, pretty girl.
Even if at that time he straightforwardly told Hong Xiaodan that he had no feelings for her and didn’t like her, it was hard to deny that deep inside, there was a small satisfaction in being pursued like that by a woman like Hong Xiaodan.
It was only because she made things too bothersome that he bluntly stated it, and eventually, they parted ways.
Now it seemed he was experiencing a bit of "you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone"; though Hong Xiaodan used to be a bit of a nuisance, she never really did anything too outrageous, merely intruded abruptly into his peaceful life, occasionally disrupting his rhythm, causing him mild discomfort.
To say she seriously disrupted his life would be an exaggeration. It’s just that he liked a tranquil life and didn’t want to be disturbed.
Today, he was meeting Jin Xinyan for a meal, and she was also a rich, pretty girl, though her family’s wealth couldn’t compare to Hong Xiaodan’s. However, they shared many similarities: both were young, enthusiastic, and straightforward, with Jin Xinyan even more proactive.
Chen Feng saw traces of Hong Xiaodan in Jin Xinyan.
However, they also had clear differences. Jin Xinyan had a more feminine aura, while Hong Xiaodan was tomboyish and smoked.
After finishing his run and returning to the villa, Chen Feng saw Sun and Wu in the living room, watching TV tutorials and doing yoga. Each had spread a yoga mat on the floor, dressed in yoga attire, kneeling on the mats, their poses somewhat alluring.
It wasn’t even eight in the morning yet, still a Saturday, and the two had risen early.
Little Rui was alright; Chen Feng was somewhat immune to her. But seeing Wu Mengting showing off her figure like this was a first, and he couldn’t help glancing a few more times, swallowing secretly.
Seeing Chen Feng return, the two women didn’t say much and continued watching the TV earnestly, practicing yoga.
They had been complaining about gaining weight for a few days now, so after some deliberation, they decided to start doing yoga.
Wu Mengting originally had a habit of morning jogging, but after starting her job, it became hard to maintain. And Little Rui never had an exercise habit, with a particular aversion to running.
So now, taking advantage of the weekend to practice yoga together suited them well.
Chen Feng tried not to stare too blatantly at Wu Mengting’s shapely figure, pretending to go to the kitchen for water. While drinking, he openly watched them from behind for a while.
After dawdling for three or four minutes, he put down the cup reluctantly and left.
Men are indeed like children, always fond of new toys, just because they haven’t played with them yet.
During his shower, Chen Feng felt a bit heated, so he finished with cold water to cool down. He needed to keep his stamina for later in the afternoon, to fulfill his ’duty’ towards Jin Xinyan if everything went per plan.
After his shower, he got dressed, went downstairs for breakfast. By this time, the women were nearing the end of their yoga session, and Chen Feng sat down. Shortly afterward, they finished.
"It was quite tiring. It looks easy, but once you do it, it really drains you."
Sun Xiaorui was the first to stand up, complaining a bit.
Wu Mengting laughed, "Of course it takes effort, otherwise how would it burn calories? How would you lose weight and maintain a good figure?"
Upon hearing this, Sun Xiaorui gritted her teeth and said, "Then I’ll try to stick with it. I have to slim down; I’ve got a bit of a belly now, 3 pounds heavier compared to two months ago."
"Want me to find you a yoga teacher?"
Chen Feng, eating breakfast, offered proactively.
The two women exchanged a glance, and both shook their heads at Chen Feng.
"No need, we’re good practicing by ourselves."
"We’ve already downloaded tutorial videos; it’s not that hard. We can practice on our own."
They initially thought of hiring a private instructor for yoga training.
But coaches and instructors who might engage with their bodies intimately must be female.
And female yoga instructors are invariably attractive to men, regardless of their looks, given that there’s barely any unattractive ones who qualify as yoga instructors, just their figures alone would captivate men’s eyes.
Thus, after a brief discussion, they unanimously decided against hiring a private instructor.
Now the two women feared Chen Feng’s ability to attract women and tried their best to prevent him from encountering too many females.
Chen Feng was unaware of this sentiment; seeing their rejection, he didn’t press further and instead said, "I’ll not be home for lunch today, will try to be back before dinner."
Upon hearing this, the two women exchanged another look, and Wu Mengting asked, "Who are you meeting?"
Chen Feng intended to be honest, but suddenly remembered he never really celebrated their birthdays specially. So, the words on his lips transformed into, "Zhang Kewei, my college buddy, I’ve mentioned him to you before. Didn’t he resign to start his own business? Opened a stationery shop, which is about to have its grand opening in the next couple of days. I’m planning to hand over our companies’ stationery orders to him. So, he’s grateful and insisted on treating me to lunch. Also, in the afternoon, we’ve arranged to meet a few old classmates and plan to revisit our alma mater."
