Chapter 105

Chapter 105: 105

Tristan could not contain his happiness and anxiety as they got on the road to the mansion.

His face was turned outside to watch the world swing by while his mind was trying to find some peace amidst the mess that had been the order of the day.

Trevor took his eyes off the road and looked briefly at him and his hand tightened on the steering.

He had never seen him that relaxed or at peace, it hurt him to know it’s because of where they were heading to and not because of him.

"What will you do if he never returns?" Trevor asked suddenly without looking at him because he could already see the shock expression on his face.

Just like he predicted, Tristan looked sharply at him.

His brown eyes stared at him in indescribable silence for a little while before he relaxed against the seat again and turned his face away.

"If he doesn’t, I will keep waiting. Until he returns". He replied after a while in a low and cold voice.

Trevor’s lips pressed into a line but he controlled the feeling of jealousy within and smiled instead.

"I would do the same too, that is only acceptable". He said in a somber voice.

After a few hours, they got to the mansion but the car was immediately surrounded by armed men outside.

Tristan panicked and wanted to open the door and go out to tell them it was him but Trevor stopped him.

"Don’t go!". He cautioned and held him back.

"We don’t know what is going on with them. That is normal". He said and Tristan listened to him and waited as Trevor opened the glove compartment. He pulled out a short gun and that made Tristan gasp loudly in shock.

"I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you but I have had since I was eighteen. It usually comes in handy". He said and chuckled lightly.

Tristan looked at him in disbelief and moved back slightly as if he would use it on him even though he had hid it.

Trevor looked at the faces of the men, they were frowning and ready to attack them.

"If you have lived here before like you said, how come they don’t recognise you?" He asked as he unlocked the car. With that he frowned and took a closer look at them.

He had never seen them, so he immediately alerted Trevor.

"I don’t know them." He said under his breath at the same time he opened the door and went outside.

A gun was pointed at him, the cold look on the man holding the gun scared him and he squared his shoulder and put a hand inside his jacket where he had kept his own gun.

"Who are you? If you have no business here I would advise you to turn around and leave.

Now!" The man yelled at him, but Trevor looked back at the rest of them.

He cannot do anything without them noticing and he was suspicious about the hard set of their eyes.

"We are here to see the Alpha". He replied, shaking the fear from his mind and looked straight at the one in front of him.

While they held them at gunpoint one of the men had gone to fetch their boss or something because Trevor could see him leave from the corner of his eyes.

He knew coming here wasn’t safe, but he didn’t want to disappoint Tristan.

A couple of footsteps sounded behind him after a few minutes and Trevor turned back to see another unfamiliar face but there was a difference in his expression to that of the men.

The car opened and Tristan came out immediately the man also arrived, Trevor was about to make a guess at his identity before his eyes narrowed at Tristan.

"You are alive after all?". He said with a mocking chuckle as he looked at Tristan from head to toe.

Tristan on the other hand glared at him in anger.

"Where is Mitch?" He asked, trying not to sound intimidated but that failed quickly as Gale laughed at him.

"Mitch?

Did I hear you say Mitch?". He asked slowly as his smile disappeared.

"You were the reason for all these?

Don’t you know?! He started changing when you arrived. That wasn’t supposed to happen. He pushed everything aside and still wasn’t enough!" He yelled on top of his voice.

Tristan took a step back and Trevor wanted to go over to him but he was blocked by two men.

"And do you know where that has landed him?

In the hands of his enemies!" He yelled again.

Tristan looked down at his hands in guilt, he was right, things had always been this way for the past year.

"That is not his fault." Trevor spoke up suddenly. His chest heaved as he looked at Gale as if he was ready to pounce on him.

If all the men around weren’t he wouldn’t have hesitated to punch him across the face in anger.

"And who gave you the right to talk?

I knew something was going on with you following him around the ass in school." He said with a scoff.

Trevor’s eyes narrowed as he tried to remember where he knew him from.

"You probably share yourself between him and the Alpha. How pathetic". He spat and took a step back.

"No, I didn’t," Tristan said suddenly.

"We are just friends and nothing more. You can say all you want but watch what you say". He continued in a soft but firm voice.

It took all of his courage to say all that and Gale didn’t hide the surprised glint in his eyes.

"Oh, I forgot for a minute that you actually do talk. You have a few minutes to leave here now. Before I change my mind." He replied.

"Where is he?.

Please tell me." Tristan pleaded as he walked a few steps away.

"Okay, I will tell you.

He is dead at the Oak tree pack. He would have probably been buried by now". He said with a wide smile.

Tristan’s face went white in shock.

"Buried?"
