Chapter 342 - 342 342 Xiao Taohong

Chapter 342: Chapter 342 Xiao Taohong Chapter 342: Chapter 342 Xiao Taohong “Alright, should I thank your ancestors back to the eighteenth generation? Is that not enough?” Xuexue’s face was brimming with a smile that she couldn’t hide. She couldn’t help it. Having resolved the wild boar problem, it was hard for her to stay in a bad mood.

“Are you praising me or scolding me?”

From the space, Xiao Taohong howled in distress. The way she heard that sentence made her feel indescribably awkward.

“Praising you, praising you,” Xuexue replied nonchalantly.

“Is that any way to praise someone?” Xiao Taohong retorted with a tinge of annoyance.

Xuexue pretended not to hear and turned her head to call Big Bull to throw all the wild boar carcasses into the space.

Although Xiao Taohong had been dead for nearly twenty years, her temperament matched the age at which she had died – a complete child, rattling on endlessly about something once she started, and Xuexue was really afraid of her nagging.

“Alright!”

Big Bull answered, grabbing a wild boar in each hand and flinging them, left and right, into the space. In an instant, he had tossed all eight wild boars in.

“Master, why did you guys kill so many wild boars all at once? That’s too brutal, isn’t it?” Xiao Taohong, eyeing the eight wild boars piled high upon one another in the space, practically forming a small mountain still bloody and all, couldn’t help but comment again.

Xuexue replied, “It’s more brutal not to have anything to eat.”

“My lady, is Xiao Taohong inside the space? Why not call her out to play a bit?”

Big Bull, knowing full well what was going on, asked innocently. At the moment, in Xuexue’s eyes, he was a slow-witted person, and of course, he couldn’t appear too clever. Otherwise, if Xuexue found out he was feigning stupidity, the consequences would be unthinkable. She might kick him out of the house right away, which would be terrible.

Let a ghost out to play?

Xuexue looked around the surroundings, which were dense with forests everywhere; the sun hardly ever shone in this place, making it very gloomy. Furthermore, this place was actually apt for a ghost’s activities.

“Xiao Taohong, Big Bull is calling you out to play.”

“Alright!”

In the space, Xiao Taohong was thrilled as soon as she heard it. Since her younger siblings had gone for reincarnation, she had been lonely and bored in the space, cultivating alone. Only at night, while everyone was asleep, would she sneak out of the space to play, feeling utterly lonely.

Without waiting for Xuexue and others to repeat, she zipped out from the space, floated straight onto a tree, took a deep breath of the air, and said ecstatically, “Mmm, the air outside is so good, unlike the space with its bloody smell everywhere.”

Seeing Xiao Taohong’s pretentious demeanor, Xuexue found it amusing inside. A ghost could still breathe the air – that was downright deceptive.

While they had hunted a few wild boars and one could say they had a fruitful harvest, it was still early, so Xuexue and Big Bull picked a lot of wood ears and wild vegetables nearby.

Xiao Taohong drifted around playing nearby, catching butterflies and dragonflies high in the air at times, and at other times, she pounced on the ground chasing rabbits, enjoying herself immensely. At this moment, both in physical form and mentality, she was wholly a child.

At noon, they roasted a rabbit on the mountain. Xuexue and Big Bull each took half, holding it with both hands, biting into the big chunks of meat, enjoying themselves thoroughly with mouths greasy from the feast.

Xuexue and Big Bull were wholly unaware that behind them, Xiao Taohong, hovering in mid-air, was looking on with envy. Indeed, being a human was better than being a ghost, able to enjoy the delicacies of the human world. As for her, she could only watch and feel envious.

While eating, Xuexue turned around, saw Xiao Taohong’s expression, and her heart softened. She looked up at her and said, “Xiao Taohong, come down here. I’ll give you a rabbit leg to taste.”
