Chapter 494 Slaughtering the Entire Village

Xu Lei also looked at the bizarre scene with a face full of shock.

Yu Daohan glanced down at the corpse at his feet, which had also transformed into a human body.

Xiao Long pointed at a corpse and shouted, "It's the strong man from last night."

Yu Daohan and Xu Lei looked at each other and saw the corpse of a strong man with half his head crushed.

Even though milky white brain matter and blood streamed down his face, it was still recognizable as the strong man who carried the wine last night.

The disciples then looked at the other corpses and couldn't help but vomit.

Yu Daohan stepped down over the corpses.

Xu Lei looked at Yu Daohan, "Master Yu, do you think it might be..."

Yu Daohan guessed what Xu Lei wanted to say and shook his head, affirming, "It's impossible for them to be demons. They don't have any demonic energy. They're just ordinary wolves."

Xu Lei nodded in agreement, "I didn't sense any demonic energy from them either. But if they're not demons, then why can they shapeshift?"

Yu Daohan also shook his head in confusion, "This is indeed rather bizarre. Even a hybrid of human and demon wouldn't be without a trace of demonic energy."

The disciples nearby thought about how last night they weren't killing wolves but humans, and looking at the ground littered with corpses all around, they felt a chill down their spines.

There were at least over a hundred and fifty corpses here, meaning Master Yu...

The disciples looked at Yu Daohan, only to find him drinking water as if nothing had happened.

Yu Daohan swallowed the water in his mouth and suddenly thought of something, "Instead of saying they are demons transforming into humans, it's more like humans transforming into demons."

Xu Lei was confused; this was beyond his understanding.

"Master Yu, this matter is probably beyond our ability to resolve. I plan to report back to the Sect Master and have him send reinforcements."

Xu Lei had already decided to retreat. If it weren't for Master Yu and himself last night, these disciples would likely have perished.

Yu Daohan nodded, "Alright, you may leave first."

He didn't know what dangers lay ahead. Xu Lei's strength was decent, but the disciples he brought were a bit lacking.

Xu Lei nodded. He didn't care, but he couldn't stand by and watch the disciples he led be sacrificed in vain.

"Master Yu, your little disciple has already sacrificed himself. There's no point in staying here. Why don't you return with us?" Xu Lei persuaded.

Yu Daohan shook his head, his eyes filled with killing intent, "A life for a life, debts must be paid. I will make those fellows pay for my disciple!"

"Sigh." Seeing that his persuasion was futile, Xu Lei sighed, gave all the dry rations and water from his backpack to Yu Daohan, and then led the disciples back the way they came.

After tidying up his things, Yu Daohan slung his backpack over his shoulder and walked towards the village.

A life for a life, Master will avenge you today!

Yu Daohan walked straight towards the village as dark clouds began to gather.

It seemed to herald an impending slaughter.

At the village entrance, a group of people stood with wooden clubs and sickles.

Walking up to the villagers, Yu Daohan drew the Kang Long Jian from his waist and gripped the Zhen Hun Shi short sword in his other hand, his killing intent radiating from his eyes.

The village chief looked at Yu Daohan, who was approaching, and said, "Young hero, can you give us a chance to live? We were forced to eat people."

Hearing this, Yu Daohan couldn't help but laugh heartily, then angrily retorted, "When you ate him (Zhou Fu), did you ever consider giving him a chance?"

The elder knew that the young man before him was determined to have them pay with their lives.

A flash of lightning streaked across the sky, followed by a loud thunderclap, and large raindrops began to fall.

Both sides charged at each other simultaneously. Yu Daohan swung the Kang Long Jian in his hand, cleaving towards the first villager to charge.

The wooden club in the villager's hand was instantly split in two. Struck in the chest by the Kang Long Jian, he died on the spot.

The villagers were now no different from ordinary people, and dealing with them was effortless for Yu Daohan.

This was a confrontation with no suspense.

Yu Daohan, with the Kang Long Jian in his left hand and the Zhen Hun Shi short sword in his right, slaughtered them in the rain.

The rainwater mixed with blood had dyed the ground red. The blood splattered on Yu Daohan's face was washed clean by the rain.

All that could be heard were the screams and wails of the villagers.

Yu Daohan's sword fell relentlessly, from the head of the village to the rear. No one survived in his wake. The massacre continued until dusk.

The rain stopped. Yu Daohan, looking at the corpses scattered across the ground, was expressionless. He walked to a thatched hut, took out a lighter, and set the hut ablaze.

The flames quickly spread throughout the village. Black smoke billowed into the sky, as if drawing a perfect conclusion to the massacre.

On the other side, Xu Lei and his group glanced at the black smoke billowing into the sky from the direction of the village.

The disciples all knew what that black smoke meant.

Wang Hua still couldn't quite believe it and turned to look at Xu Lei, "Martial Uncle, Master Yu massacred the entire village!?"

Xu Lei looked at the black smoke stretching to the horizon, slightly awestruck, "Do you really think Master Yu's reputation was just for show?"

Wang Hua shook his head. All the disciples were deeply shocked by Master Yu's actions.

What Yu Daohan had done today left an indelible fear in their hearts.

He could truly slaughter an entire village for the sake of one disciple.

Yu Daohan might not be a good person, but he was definitely a good master.
