Chapter 64 We Can Go Back

In the corridor, Yu Daohen glanced downstairs, then looked at the two fierce ghosts opposite him, and said with an evil smile, "Come!"

Although not fully recovered, he was more than capable of dealing with these fierce ghosts.

The two fierce ghosts flew towards Yu Daohen.

Yu Daohen dodged the attack of one of the fierce ghosts by moving to the left. The other fierce ghost raised its sharp claws and stabbed directly at Yu Daohen's throat.

Yu Daohen reacted with extreme speed, raising his hand to grab the attacking claw of the fierce ghost and flinging it towards the other fierce ghost.

The flung fierce ghost got back on its feet. The two fierce ghosts prepared to attack again, and Yu Daohen condensed his Earth Kun Hand, a layer of rock encasing his palm.

Just as the two fierce ghosts attacked, Yu Daohen struck first, swinging his hand to cleave one of the fierce ghosts.

Yu Daohen's palm was as sharp as a steel knife, splitting the upper body of the fierce ghost in half.

The fierce ghost dissipated into a wisp of black energy in the air. The other fierce ghost, before it could react, was grabbed by the neck by Yu Daohen.

Yu Daohen's face was expressionless, his voice icy, "Tell me, where is the female ghost that used the ghost eye illusion just now?"

The fierce ghost hesitated for a few seconds and was about to speak when Yu Daohen directly crushed it, "You hesitated."

Yu Daohen looked down at the open space below, leaning on the railing with one hand, and leaped down, landing steadily.

Watching the fierce ghosts quickly gather in the open space, Yu Daohen smiled instead of fearing. His left eye condensed, and the Samsara Blood Tears filled his eye socket.

Yu Daohen waved his hand, and ten drops of Samsara Blood Tears floated in the air, merging into a short sword and shooting towards the ghosts.

The Samsara Blood Tears reaped among the ghosts, and only screams and wisps of white smoke dissipating into the air could be heard.

In less than a moment, the ghosts began to scatter and flee.

Seeing the ghosts fleeing in all directions, Yu Daohen did not pursue. Instead, he looked at the darkness beside him, "A rare visitor. I didn't expect so many people to come to Jiangdu."

From the darkness, figures emerged.

Biao Tao walked out of the darkness, a smile on his plump face, "Greetings, Master Yu."

He then said to his subordinates behind him, "Leave none of them!"

The people behind him received the order, took out their peach wood swords, and began to hunt down the fierce ghosts.

Others beside them also chimed in.

"Greetings, Master Yu."

"Greetings, Master Yu."

"Master Yu."

Looking at the people emerging from the darkness, Yu Daohen nodded, his heart filled with confusion. Why were disciples from major sects like Yan Shu Sect, Tong Dao Sect, and Shen Zhen Sect running to Jiangdu?

In the crowd, a woman looked at Yu Daohen with admiration, "This is the Master Yu that Senior Brother mentioned. He's even more handsome than in the videos."

Someone next to her patted the woman's shoulder, "Stop acting like a fangirl. We have important business to attend to."

"Old Biao, is your Supernatural Bureau so rich now that you can afford disciples from so many major sects?" Yu Daohen asked, retracting his Nine Lives Samsara Eyes.

Biao Tao rubbed the back of his head and walked over, "What are you saying, Master Yu? This matter is very urgent, and these are only a small portion of the people."

Yu Daohen glanced at the approaching people. There were more than sixty of them in total, and they were only a small part.

"What major event requires so many disciples from major sects?" Yu Daohen asked.

Biao Tao sighed, "Master Yu, have you heard that all the fierce ghosts have been gathering in the suburbs these past few days?"

Yu Daohen nodded. He had heard the two little ghosts mention it last night, "I've heard a little."

Biao Tao continued, "Master Yu, have you heard of the Evil Yin Land?"

Yu Daohen frowned. The Evil Yin Land, that was a place where ghost creatures were sealed.

Legend had it that ancient ghost hunters would seal captured evil spirits in a place, and when the ghost gate opened on the fifteenth day of the seventh lunar month, they would be sent to the underworld, where they would be cast into the eighteen levels of hell.

However, this system had been abolished seven hundred years ago, reportedly because the underworld had too many imprisoned evil spirits and no more space. It was suggested that they be directly erased. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, captured ghosts were generally handed over to the Supernatural Bureau.

Now, the only place that still sealed evil spirits was the Demon Suppressing Pagoda of Wanfo Temple. It was said that a great demon over six thousand years old was sealed within.

"Most of the Evil Yin Lands were sent to the underworld in the early days of the People's Republic of China. There shouldn't be many evil spirits left in the remaining Evil Yin Lands," Yu Daohen said.

Biao Tao shook his head, his expression solemn, "That's what I thought at first. But when we came to inspect this morning, we discovered that it was a large Evil Yin Land."

Yu Daohen's expression changed. A large Evil Yin Land was a place where tens of thousands of evil spirits were imprisoned. If the evil spirits inside had not yet been sent to the underworld, each one would be at least a冥鬼 (Ming Gui - Underworld Ghost) in existence.

If they all escaped, Jiangdu would suffer countless deaths.

Ghosts below 刹鬼 (Sha Gui - Slaughter Ghost) were easy to deal with. If they were above 刹鬼, it would be quite troublesome.

Yu Daohen glanced at the woman beside him who had been staring at him, frowned, and said, "If those ghosts really get out, this many people won't be enough."

Biao Tao nodded, his face serious, "When I discovered it was a large Evil Yin Land this morning, I mobilized all my contacts. These people are just the last batch."

After listening, Yu Daohen nodded and prepared to leave. Since it was a large Evil Yin Land, the higher-ups would definitely take it seriously. Why should he bother? Even if they escaped, someone would deal with them.

"Master Yu, are those students with you?" Biao Tao asked.

Yu Daohen nodded, assuming Biao Tao was referring to Cao Qian and the others, "What's wrong?"

Biao Tao sighed, "Two students named Cao Qian and Li Jian died. I've sent people to escort the rest back."

Yu Daohen gave a nonchalant "Mm" sound. Since they were dead, he could go back.
