Chapter 79 Ordering the Undead!

Chapter 1 A Sealed Land Pit

This was a square cave, surrounded by iron fences. Several night pearls at the top emitted a soft light, illuminating the area below, allowing him to vaguely make out what kind of place this was.

It seemed to be a closed-off pit, with a dungeon on either side. Thick metal fences firmly sealed the dungeons. Through the metal bars, Nie Yan could see two piles of huge bones inside. In their lifetimes, they must have been dragons. Their enormous bodies stood at four yards tall, and their tails were long and thick.

Not far from this closed-off pit was the Sogot Ancient City's arena. It seemed they were gladiators who participated in the arena.

As gladiators, they had no freedom. They were merely tools for the nobles' amusement and entertainment. When Sogot Ancient City fell, they were locked in their cages to starve to death, turning into two piles of bones.

Just as Nie Yan was lost in thought, the two piles of bones stirred. They slowly rose from the ground.

Roar, roar.

The two sets of bones emitted angry roars that echoed between the dungeons. They were like two giant ferocious beasts, leaping up high and pouncing towards Nie Yan.

With a bang, their bodies collided with the metal fence. The metal fence trembled violently, cracking open with fissures. One of the metal bars was even bent.

They roared furiously, lunging at Nie Yan and constantly slamming against the metal fence. The metal fence gradually bent, and Nie Yan felt as if they were about to break free. The metal fence was rapidly being dismantled.

These dragon gladiators carried resentment and anger when they died. Therefore, after becoming undead, their strength was much greater than ordinary undead creatures. Their entire skeleton flowed with a dark red luster, almost metallic.

Nie Yan used Super Appraisal to check the attributes of these dragon gladiator skeletons.

Skeleton Gladiator: Level 10 Elite, HP 600/600.

They were elite monsters. Their HP, like most skeleton creatures, was indeed low compared to creatures of the same level. However, two Level 10 elites were still not something Nie Yan could deal with.

Two skeleton gladiators could easily kill Nie Yan.

Nie Yan looked up. The pit was too deep. It was basically impossible to get out. The Weaver's Ring couldn't reach such a height. There was a door in front of the dungeon, but it was blocked by a thick metal fence and secured with a huge lock. There was no way he could break open such a massive door made of thick metal bars. Nie Yan wasn't a giant beast like the skeleton gladiators!

The skeleton gladiators continued to ram against the metal fence, which kept breaking and cracking until it shattered into pieces. The two skeleton gladiators crashed out of their respective dungeons and lunged at Nie Yan.

Encountering two Level 10 elites simultaneously in such a narrow and confined space was almost certain death.

Two huge shadows loomed from the sky, solid bones, powerful limbs, and a giant tail covered in barbs. It was impossible to defeat them!

Fighting them was out of the question. Nie Yan's eyes quickly scanned his skill bar. He only had one hope, the Undead Transformation!

Undead Transformation was Nie Yan's only skill that could save him. A 20% chance to command an undead creature, life or death, rested on this skill.

Since the skeleton gladiators' levels were far higher than Nie Yan's, Nie Yan couldn't be sure if he could successfully summon them.

At the moment when the two skeleton gladiators pounced down at the same time, Nie Yan cast an Undead Transformation skill on one of them.

Undead Transformation!

System: You cast Undead Transformation on the Skeleton Gladiator, HP -30%.

System: Skill cast failed!

Seeing the system prompt, Nie Yan quickly used Gale Step, rolling and throwing himself to the side.

With a bang, the tail of one of the skeleton gladiators swept the spot where Nie Yan had been standing, raising a cloud of dust, and cracks appeared on the ground.

Because they pounced on Nie Yan simultaneously, the two skeleton gladiators collided, staggering back several steps.

Nie Yan's body rolled out from under the feet of the two skeleton gladiators, barely managing to stabilize himself.

The two skeleton gladiators failed to hit him. The green fire in their eye sockets flickered, and they glanced around, finally locking onto Nie Yan, who was hiding in a corner.

One of the skeleton gladiators raised its right foot and stomped down hard on Nie Yan.

Nie Yan quickly dodged.

With a bang, a deep footprint was left on the ground.

The other skeleton gladiator also raised its foot and stomped towards Nie Yan.

With the attacks of the two skeleton gladiators, one stomp would probably leave Nie Yan with only half his life. Fortunately, the area was relatively narrow, and the skeleton gladiators' movements weren't very convenient, and their attack frequency wasn't very high, so he could barely dodge. However, if he continued to drag on, Nie Yan probably still wouldn't have a chance to survive.

Undead Transformation!

System: You cast Undead Transformation on the Skeleton Gladiator, HP -30%.

System: Skill cast failed!

Three times in a row, all failures. Nie Yan's HP was only 10% left. He ran and dodged while drinking a Slow Health Potion and bandaging himself.

Looking at his HP, which had recovered to 52%, Nie Yan cast Undead Transformation again.

The two skeleton gladiators pounced on Nie Yan at the same time.

System: Undead Transformation cast successful.

Nie Yan only felt that something in his mind transformed into mysterious objects, floated into the air, and disappeared into the body of one of the skeleton gladiators.

After completing the Undead Transformation, Nie Yan rolled away, dodging.

With a bang, the two skeleton gladiators collided, being knocked away by each other and retreating a distance before stopping.

Nie Yan hid to the side, staring intently at the skeleton gladiator on whom he had cast Undead Transformation.

Was it successful? What was the result?

Nie Yan had almost no hope of successfully summoning the skeleton gladiator. After all, the skeleton gladiators' levels were too high, and he wasn't sure if he had succeeded just now. This might be his only chance, and if he missed it, it would be gone.

The two skeleton gladiators and Nie Yan formed a triangular formation, standing in this slightly narrow dungeon.

The two skeleton gladiators looked at each other.

Time seemed to flow back to the glorious period of Sogot, that bloody arena, where gladiators collided with each other, and blood splattered on the field, casting a spectacular and tragic crimson red.

The skeleton gladiator who had been subjected to the Undead Transformation stood there blankly, the light in its eyes dim and unclear, as if it was being pulled by something. It moved slowly, as if trying to break free from some kind of restraint.

"May the gods bless me, it should be successful." Nie Yan didn't believe in gods, but in faith, there seemed to be a belief in gods. At this moment, Nie Yan was devout, like a pilgrim.

The skeleton gladiator who hadn't been subjected to the Undead Transformation moved, leaping up and pouncing on Nie Yan.

It was driving Nie Yan into a dead end.

Just as that skeleton gladiator leaped high, the other skeleton gladiator who had been subjected to the Undead Transformation crashed into it horizontally. With a bang, the two big guys collided, and the skeleton gladiator who was about to attack Nie Yan was knocked away.

Perhaps Nie Yan's prayers had been heard by the gods, Nie Yan's Undead Transformation had unexpectedly succeeded.

The skeleton gladiator who had been subjected to the Undead Transformation was covered in a layer of black luster, shiny and bright, its entire body dark red, like a giant metal beast, full of violent and raging power.

System: Please name the undead you have commanded.

Nie Yan thought for a moment and named the commanded skeleton gladiator Dark Gladiator. This name seemed more fitting.

After the Dark Gladiator was successfully commanded by the Undead Transformation, its attributes actually increased by 10%. The already incredibly powerful Dark Gladiator was now even more invincible. The only drawback was that it could only stay in the world for three hours. After three hours, it would be destroyed by the Undead Transformation.

It was hard to imagine that he possessed such a terrifying summoned creature.
