Chapter 550 - 551 Wu Xueqing Admits Her Mistake

Chapter 550: Chapter 551 Wu Xueqing Admits Her Mistake

"In room 504, yes, it’s 504. Boss Zhu, I really didn’t know this person was your friend. I’m sorry. I truly apologize." The hotel manager dropped to his knees and kept kowtowing to Su Changfeng.

The receptionist was trembling with fear. She clearly knew who Zhu Lie was, though she didn’t know who Su Changfeng was. Still, she understood that offending him was like offending Zhu Lie!

After learning the room number, Su Changfeng said to Zhu Lie, "I can handle this by myself."

Zhu Lie knew Su Changfeng’s skills well. To him, a few intoxicated people were nothing; he could handle them with one hand. So, he had to wait in the hotel lobby.

The hotel manager was too frightened to speak and continued kowtowing.

"Whether you live or die is up to my friend. It’s useless to apologize to me," Zhu Lie said softly to the hotel manager.

Now, the hotel manager regretted everything so much that he wanted to bang his head against the wall. Had he known how things would unfold, he would never have treated Su Changfeng that way. If this incident were investigated, his life could be over.

He considered calling their boss to speak on his behalf, but with Zhu Lie involved, if the boss found out, he would definitely sever ties immediately. No one would offend Zhu Lie over a subordinates’ mistake.

"Boss Zhu, I truly didn’t do it intentionally. I realize my mistake now. Please put in a good word for me," the hotel manager pleaded, his forehead red and face full of despair.

Cheng Sixue, standing aside, was even more surprised by the situation.

Earlier, the hotel manager was particularly arrogant, paying no heed to her or Su Changfeng. But now, he was begging for mercy, all because of Su Changfeng’s status, which made her doubt Wu Xueqing’s words even more. Someone like Su Changfeng couldn’t possibly be a kept man.

Outside room 504, Su Changfeng heard faint noises inside. He didn’t knock, choosing instead to charge straight in.

With a bang, Su Changfeng kicked the door open and hurried inside. Upon seeing Wu Xueqing pinned to the bed by several men, with her clothes torn but not worse off, he breathed a sigh of relief. At least it wasn’t the worst-case scenario.

"You bastard, what do you think you’re doing, interrupting our fun like that?"

"Get lost now, or our fists won’t show mercy."

Wu Xueqing cried pitifully. Filled with despair, she was newly hopeful upon seeing Su Changfeng.

"Su Changfeng, please save me. I realize I was wrong. I misunderstood you," Wu Xueqing sobbed.

Su Changfeng smiled faintly. It seemed she’d reached out to Wu Feng, but Su Changfeng didn’t want to delve into what she knew.

"Even if you let me go, I’m not planning to let you off. Let’s do this quickly," Su Changfeng said.

The men, fueled by alcohol and offended by Su Changfeng’s dismissive attitude, rolled up their sleeves.

Despite the bravado of rolling up sleeves, they soon lay groaning on the floor, looking pitiful.

Handling these drunkards, Su Changfeng didn’t even need to use 30% of his strength. In less than a minute, no one could stand properly.

"Why are you still sitting on the bed? Get moving," Su Changfeng told Wu Xueqing.

Wu Xueqing wanted to leave but was too terrified and exhausted to move.

Noticing her silence, Su Changfeng guessed she was too frail to act, understandable for a woman who had been forcibly taken to a hotel by these men.

"Perhaps you should rest here first. I can throw these guys out?" Su Changfeng suggested.

Upon hearing this, Wu Xueqing quickly lifted her head, a bit flustered. Having developed a fear of the place, she couldn’t rest there.

"I don’t want to rest here. I can walk," Wu Xueqing said, trying to stand but her legs gave way, and she collapsed back onto the floor.

Su Changfeng sighed, fetched a bath towel from the bathroom, draped it over Wu Xueqing, and picked her up to carry her out.

In Su Changfeng’s arms, Wu Xueqing felt a powerful sense of security. After he helped her on the plane, she’d grown fond of him. However, the plainclothes officer’s words made her dislike him.

Now that she knew Su Changfeng’s true identity, her misunderstanding had cleared, and having been saved by him, her affection deepened.

"I’m sorry for misunderstanding you earlier," Wu Xueqing mumbled with her head down.

"I don’t need your apology," Su Changfeng said flatly.

In his words, Wu Xueqing sensed a clear indifference, which pained her heart.

"If you want to thank me, there’s no need. If you weren’t Wu Feng’s niece, I wouldn’t have stepped in. Besides, I already have a wife," Su Changfeng continued.

No matter why Su Changfeng saved her, Wu Xueqing was sincerely grateful. Yet, learning he had a wife hit her hard, leaving her momentarily frozen.

Because his having a wife meant she had no chance at all.

"You’re too young to be married, right? You’re just teasing me," Wu Xueqing said, clearly disbelieving.

Su Changfeng chuckled, "It seems you’re not very familiar with Jiang City. Haven’t you ever heard the name Su Changfeng there?"

Not being a Jiang City local, Wu Xueqing only traveled there for work, rarely staying more than a couple of days, and wasn’t well-versed in its affairs, leaving her puzzled by his words.

"What do you mean by that?" Wu Xueqing asked, looking perplexed at Su Changfeng.

Looking closely at his face, her heart raced. Handsomely rugged, with the resilience a man should have, characteristics a pretty boy couldn’t possess.

"Just ask anyone on the streets, and you’ll find out," Su Changfeng laughed.

Arriving at the hotel lobby, the manager was still on his knees. Seeing Su Changfeng coming, he hurried to his feet, only to kneel again, pleading, "Brother Changfeng, I beg you, please show mercy this once."
