As night fell, Feng Wu found an inn to stop at. It was in a remote location, neither here nor there, but there were quite a few people staying there, clearly travelers passing through.
To avoid attracting attention, Xue Xing Yue only asked Feng Wu to get three rooms, with Madam Jiang and Miss Jiang sharing one.

There was no warmth at all, indicating that they had left a long time ago.
"What time is it now?" Xue Xing Yue asked.
Feng Wu said, "It has just passed midnight."
Xue Xing Yue narrowed her eyes. From the time she left Madam Jiang's room until now, less than two hours had passed, yet the bed was already cold. Who could it have been?
"Did you not hear anything?" Xue Xing Yue asked.
Feng Wu shook her head in shame, "Your Highness, Feng Wu is incompetent."

Xue Xing Yue smelled a familiar scent. She held her breath and heard voices not far away, "It seems like someone else has fallen in."
Another person said, "How is that possible? Those two only fell a short while ago, how could someone else fall in so quickly?"
