Overlord Star

Chapter 609 Young Master Changsun

"Alright, it's time for us to go to the company!"

Li Ping said, and then left the villa with Shen Lu and the others.

Jiang Yi returned upstairs, washed up, and then drove to the Beijing Chamber of Commerce.

By the time he arrived at the Beijing Chamber of Commerce, it was already around ten in the morning!

Jiang Yi walked into the lobby and went to the counter.

"Hello, my name is Jiang Yi, and I have something I need to discuss with your chairman," Jiang Yi said to the receptionist.

The receptionist looked Jiang Yi up and down before replying, "Not just anyone can meet the chairman. Besides, the chairman is very busy and has many matters to attend to. He has refused to see anyone this week."

"You just need to inform the chairman," Jiang Yi said.

If the chairman of the Beijing Chamber of Commerce knew it was Jiang Yi who wanted to see him, he would surely grant an audience.

"That won't do!"

The receptionist said, "If we have to inform the chairman about everyone who wants to see him, then he won't be able to get anything done all day!"

Jiang Yi was somewhat speechless!

He hadn't expected it to be so difficult to meet the chairman of the Beijing Chamber of Commerce.

"I'll call him."

Jiang Yi took out his phone, preparing to dial the chairman's number.

Seeing this, the receptionist burst into laughter.

"Stop pretending, just leave already!"

"Judging by your attire, you don't seem like a big shot. How could you possibly have the chairman's phone number?" the receptionist sneered.

Jiang Yi ignored the receptionist and dialed the chairman's number.

As it turned out, the chairman's phone was turned off!

With no other option, Jiang Yi sent him a message via WeChat.

"What, did you get through?" the receptionist asked mockingly.

Jiang Yi didn't respond and sat down on the sofa in the lobby.

Jiang Yi decided to wait there.

Seeing that Jiang Yi was still persistent, the receptionist showed a mocking smile on his face.

Jiang Yi paid no attention to the receptionist.

He had encountered many people who judged others by their appearance, and he had no interest in dealing with them.

Jiang Yi had seen such things many times before, especially after arriving in Beijing, where he encountered such people almost daily.

Jiang Yi was used to it!

To put it simply, Jiang Yi had completely accustomed himself to the existence of such people.

Suddenly, at this moment, a handsome and cosmopolitan-looking man walked in from outside the lobby.

He was followed by more than a dozen bodyguards.

These bodyguards had sharp eyes, moved with light steps, and their actions were very agile. They were clearly professional bodyguards.

Jiang Yi frowned slightly.

This man's status was likely not ordinary!

The Beijing Chamber of Commerce had a rule that no one was allowed to bring bodyguards into the chamber building, regardless of who they were.

Yet, this fellow had brought more than a dozen bodyguards, and the security guards at the Beijing Chamber of Commerce did not stop him.

"Young Master, you're here!"

A woman wearing glasses came down from upstairs and, upon reaching the man, greeted him respectfully. "The chairman has been waiting for you for a long time. Come with me to see him!"

This woman was one of the secretaries of the chairman of the Beijing Chamber of Commerce. Jiang Yi had met her once before.

The chairman of the Beijing Chamber of Commerce held a special position, so he had three secretaries.

The man showed an impatient expression and followed the secretary upstairs.

Jiang Yi was taken aback.

He hadn't expected this fellow to be the son of the chairman of the Beijing Chamber of Commerce.

And indeed, father and son looked quite alike.

The chairman of the Beijing Chamber of Commerce was named Changsun Xiong. Few people knew his name because everyone usually referred to him as "Chairman" and no one dared to call him by his name.

"Please wait a moment!"

Jiang Yi stood up and walked towards the secretary.

The secretary stopped and, upon seeing Jiang Yi, greeted him warmly.

"Oh, it's Mr. Jiang. Is there anything I can help you with?"

"I have something to discuss with your chairman, and I would like to see him!" Jiang Yi said.

"The chairman is in his office. I'll take you there!" the secretary said.

"Thank you!" Jiang Yi said.

"Mr. Jiang, you don't need to be so formal with me. The chairman said that as long as it's Mr. Jiang who comes to the Beijing Chamber of Commerce, you can go directly to his office to see him!" the secretary said.

Hearing this, Jiang Yi shrugged.

If he had known this earlier, he could have gone straight to the office to see Changsun Xiong and wouldn't have had to wait in the lobby for so long.

The man glanced at Jiang Yi and then asked the secretary, "Is he from the Beijing Chamber of Commerce?"

"No! Mr. Jiang is a friend of the chairman!" the secretary replied.

Upon hearing this, the man let out a cold snort and said indifferently, "My father is the chairman of the Beijing Chamber of Commerce. Not just anyone can see him. Even if he is my father's friend, he should follow the rules and make an appointment before seeing my father."

"If everyone acted without rules, wouldn't it be chaos?"

The man looked quite displeased.

The secretary showed a helpless expression.

"Allow me to introduce myself. I am the son of the chairman of the Beijing Chamber of Commerce, and my name is Changsun Hao!"

After speaking, the man's gaze fell on Jiang Yi again, and he asked, "What's your name? What do you do?"

Hearing the name Changsun Hao, Jiang Yi remembered!

Earlier, Changsun Xiong had mentioned to him in passing that his son, Changsun Hao, was studying abroad in England and held a Ph.D. in Economics and Management.

"I'm asking you a question, didn't you hear me?" Changsun Hao stared at Jiang Yi and said in a deep voice.

As Jiang Yi was about to speak, the secretary intervened.

"This is Mr. Jiang Yi. He founded Tiansheng Group and has a good relationship with the chairman. Young Master, please don't make things difficult for Mr. Jiang!"

"I thought he was some big shot, but it turns out he's just a nobody!"

Changsun Hao snorted disdainfully.

Jiang Yi hadn't expected Changsun Hao to be so arrogant.

However, upon reflection, it wasn't surprising!

As the son of Changsun Xiong, the chairman of the Beijing Chamber of Commerce, Changsun Hao indeed had the capital to be arrogant.

"You should make an appointment first and then wait in the lobby. After my father finishes his matters, I'll consider whether to see you or not!" Changsun Hao said to Jiang Yi.

"Your father's secretary just said that I can go to his office to see him anytime!" Jiang Yi replied.

Then, Jiang Yi walked directly upstairs.

Seeing that Jiang Yi was disregarding him, Changsun Hao's face immediately showed anger, and he shouted at the bodyguards behind him, "Stop him!"

"Yes!"

The bodyguards responded and then blocked Jiang Yi's path.

"Jiang Yi, you have some nerve to ignore me! Do you know the consequences of offending me?"

Changsun Hao stared at Jiang Yi and said, "Don't think that just because you're my father's friend, I can't do anything to you. Even if I kill you right now, my father won't say a word."

Hearing this, Jiang Yi couldn't help but laugh.

This Changsun Hao was too arrogant.

If he dared to cause trouble for him, Jiang Yi wouldn't care whose son he was.

Even if he were the son of the King of Heaven, Jiang Yi would still teach him a lesson.
