Chapter 1254: Part 1: Misery
From MC’s Perspective:
Fighting Platform,
Issac swung his metal chain again. He saw that Zack’s left hand was not hurt. He wanted to inflict a similar injury as the right hand.
Swoosh!
The metal chain was covered with blazing flames.
On the other hand, I found myself in a difficult spot. I realized that it was hard to avoid the rebound chain if it came at me.
Once again, I used my body to move sideways. I avoided the direct clash easily. But he swung the metal chain at me.
The rebounded chain quickly reached my face. I used my left hand to block it with blood force.
Boom!
A deafening noise occurred the next moment. The flames exploded again, forcing me backward.
My left hand had blood-red marks again. Like hot red metal, my left hand had turned red now because of the burn injuries.
Swoosh!
Seeing that, I started moving my body to widen the gap.
Issac had gone mad. The successive strikes made him crazy. He completely wanted to injure Zack Lockwood right now.
Swoosh!
He once again charged toward Zack while swinging the metal chain.
Meanwhile,
The audience didn’t have a chance to react. Everything was happening so fast. Issac was not giving any chance for Zack to breathe.
He wanted to land attacks one after another.
Swoosh!
The metal chain’s end was a few inches away from my chest. I moved my body to avoid the contact again.
Issac cleverly swung it to make a rebound. The chain rebounded. Then the metal end struck my back in a shot.
Boom!
An explosion occurred. The blast sent my body forward. In a flash, I landed flat on the ground. At the same time, I was experiencing a severe burning sensation on my back.
If I didn’t do anything right now, then Issac would continue with his strikes. I understood that he was not ready to give me any breathing space.
“Ha… ha… ha…”
Seeing that Zack was down and injured, Issac laughed out loud.
He had dreamt about doing this earlier. Now his dream had come true. He was getting revenge for the previous humiliation.
No one would underestimate their Blazing Fire Faction anymore.

Above the fighting platform,
The face of Dean Jerome changed. He had no doubt now. He thought that Zack was going to lose the duel.
Because Zack himself didn’t want to use the Inheritance force.
Without Inheritance force, he wouldn’t be able to defeat Issac.
The Purple Mark Guard saw through this as well. He knew this was all because of Dean Jerome’s protection.
For that, Zack was paying the price right now. If Dean had revealed the information, then Star University wouldn’t be calm.
Zack Lockwood especially wouldn’t have peace. People with dual ancient inheritances were rare. You get to see one once in a couple of hundred years.
Now their battle against the foreign creatures was intense. Zack’s information could cause unknown changes on the battlefield.
He was hoping that Dean would compensate that kid.
“Let’s go. There is no suspension in the duel. The kid wants to lose,” Dean Jerome said.
Hearing that, the Purple Mark Guard was stunned. Then he nodded to him. Both of them then left the duel arena silently.
No one knew about their arrival or departure.

Viewing Block 1:
The Faction Leaders were all dumbfounded. They were seeing Zack Lockwood getting brutally beaten up by the opponent.
That flame metal chain was not an ordinary chain. Coupled with the flame element, it could tear away the flesh of any warrior.
Everyone was confused and shocked to see no response from Zack Lockwood.
The Faction Leaders turned toward two people. One was Faction Leader Clifford, and the other was Faction Leader Elmer.
Both of them were silently watching the duel. What’s more? Both of them had neutral expressions on their faces.
They were surprised. At this time, the Bloodline Faction Leader Bethany turned toward her friend and asked, “What’s wrong with these two?”
“Shouldn’t the old man worry about his member getting beaten?”
“Elmer is reacting strangely as well. He should be celebrating right now.”
She further made those comments. Her words reached the ears of others as well.
Francesa didn’t know what to say. Her eyes gleamed with complicated emotions. She knew if Zack wanted, he could have defeated the opponent in a few moves.
She also knew Zack was the inheritor of not one but two ancient inheritances. No Black Mark Warriors in the whole region could defeat him.
It was because of Dean Jerome that the kid was hiding his true strength. But she couldn’t tell these things to others.
Not only her, one more person was frustrated. The person was none other than Dew Water Faction Leader Monica.
She used to be angry earlier. Now, seeing Zack Lockwood in an injured condition, her anger disappeared. She started feeling pity.
She understood why Zack was not using his water variant element. It must be because of her. But she didn’t tell anyone about this matter.
She was following the order of Dean Jerome. Dean had promised Zack that he could stay in the Thunderflame Faction.
Despite such a promise from the Dean, the kid was not ready to use the element. She sighed inwardly. Then she turned around and walked out of the room.
Her departure shocked everyone. Then everyone noticed that Zack was injured. Even if he used Inheritance force now, it wouldn’t be easy to win the duel with the injuries.
So the outcome of the duel was clear. Issac was the winner.
The Elemental Faction Leaders began to congratulate Faction Leader Elmer before leaving. They couldn’t help but shoot a glance at Faction Leader Clifford before leaving.
One after another, the Element Faction Leaders left the room even before the end of the duel.
Only the two Bloodline Faction Leaders, the Dark Variant Faction Leader, the Blazing Fire Faction Leader, and the Thunderflame Faction Leader remained in the room.
No one could read old man Clifford’s face. But he was disappointed and angry inside. Because he and the other main elders had already given permission.
Yet the kid was not using his inheritance force. Instead, he was more than ready to lose the duel.
That’s why he was disappointed with Zack Lockwood’s decision. He was angry at others because they didn’t know the truth.
