Chapter 181: Chapter 181: There Is Still A Problem?
Finally, Victoria could enjoy herself and Matthias to her heart’s content without having to worry about anyone watching them anymore. Since returning home from dinner with their closest friends, Victoria had been smiling sweetly at her beloved husband. Because now she no longer had to feel lonely living alone in this luxurious residence.
Likewise, Matthias stared at his wife’s beauty so absorbedly that his eyes wouldn’t blink. His right hand slowly stroked her head, then slowly reached for her shoulder.
"Tory, I happen to be free tomorrow. I want to start having lunch together again tomorrow. I don’t want you to have lunch with Ansel."
"Matty, now I want you to be honest with me. Do you always get jealous every time you imagine me spending time with Ansel?"
Matthias lifted his wife’s chin with an intense gaze. "Of course I’m jealous because he’s not your husband. He’s only your ex-fiance."
Victoria laughed mischievously, pinching her husband’s cheek. "You’ve always been jealous, but you’ve never been willing to admit it openly."
"Ansel will laugh at me later."
"But, I’m still curious. Is what Marcel said true? You always ask him when we don’t communicate?"
Matthias nodded, his cheeks flushing red. "Actually, ever since we signed the divorce papers, I’ve been wondering if I was really that stupid to suddenly divorce you for such a ridiculous reason. Especially since I hurt you so much because I was so selfish."
"You’re not selfish. In fact, your actions are correct."
"But you cried when I yelled at you." A weary sigh escaped her lips. "Since then, I’ve always asked Marcel for his opinion on whether you still hold a grudge against me. I even ask him for advice every time we meet."
Victoria laughed so hard her face turned red. "I didn’t think you were so childish. But I love seeing you so adorable. I have to thank Marcel for being patient with you whenever you were upset."
His cheeks grew even redder at his wife’s sweet talk. "Am I adorable?"
"Because I like the way you act every time I see you. You always ask how I’m doing. If I slept well, or if I ate enough. Even this morning, you were still so worried about me, even though you decided to tell me about our relationship today."
"Actually, every night I have trouble sleeping."
Victoria pinched her husband’s arm a little forcefully. "Why didn’t you tell me?"
"This problem isn’t that serious for me. I’m having trouble sleeping, not because I have insomnia, but because I miss you so much."
"If you’d known it would be like this, you should have just told me every time we video called before bed. I should have talked to you longer."
"But, if we keep talking, then we won’t sleep until tomorrow morning."
"I didn’t expect you to be such a naive guy, Matthias! Do I have to pinch you again to make you regret it?"
Matthias shook his head innocently as he hugged his wife tightly. "Now I can hold you as much as I want. I don’t want us to remember that dark moment again."
"Starting tomorrow, don’t ever run away from me again. You have to promise!"
A sweet kiss landed on his wife’s forehead. "I definitely promise."
"Then, don’t say stupid things in front of me again!"
Matthias kissed his wife’s forehead again. "If I say something stupid again, you’d better divorce me right from the start."
"Actually, I still wanted to talk to you a little longer." Victoria wrapped her arms around her husband’s neck. "I’m still not sleepy."
"But, you have to go back to work tomorrow. I don’t want to lose sleep."
Victoria pursed her lips. "So, now I have to go to bed early? I can’t talk to you for too long?"
"There’s always tomorrow and beyond. Don’t worry, this time I won’t leave you alone again."
Victoria still feels uneasy about her married life, even though she’s successfully imprisoned Gianna and Amber. One of her enemies remains peacefully alive. Will Fransisca act like her mother?
Eventually, Victoria and Matthias fell asleep after a long conversation. However, Victoria was suddenly trapped in a nightmare again. The nightmare about the accident she had experienced made her break out in a cold sweat in the real world. Although she had dreamed about it before, for some reason, it haunted her again. Was there still a mystery she hadn’t solved?
This nightmare was quite long. It usually ended when she was hit, but now the dream continued while she was semi-conscious. Now she could see the aftermath of the accident. She saw a woman watching the incident from a distance. She was wearing green heels. Was that woman Gianna?
"Victoria, wake up!"
Hearing her husband’s screams in the real world, she immediately awoke from the nightmare, gasping for breath. Her body still trembled as the nightmare grew increasingly terrifying.
"Matthias... I’m scared."
Matthias hugged his wife tightly and patted her back. "I’m here, now you don’t have to be afraid anymore."
"It’s actually been a long time since I’ve had this nightmare. I’m confused as to why I’m dreaming about the accident again, as if I haven’t completely solved the puzzle."
"Don’t think about that nightmare anymore! You can only think about me now. We can talk about the accident tomorrow morning." Matthias kissed her deeply on the cheek. "Thankfully, I can sleep with you now. You’d probably go crazy sleeping alone."

The next day, Fransisca visited the detention room to talk with her mother. There was no trace of guilt on her face as she openly stated how disappointed she was in her mother.
Fransisca looked at her mother anxiously. Her mother’s now disheveled appearance made her remain silent.
"How dare you meet me after you betrayed me yesterday!"
Fransisca smiled sarcastically. "Isn’t it your fault for acting rashly and not being able to hide the evidence properly?"
Gianna slammed her fist on the table. "Should I tell everyone that you were actually the one who caused the accident?"
