Chapter 213: Chapter 213: Wedding Preparation

Since that sweet proposal, Victoria and Matthias have begun preparing for their wedding, starting with choosing a venue, wedding dress, pre-wedding photoshoot location, and much more. Furthermore, Matthias’ perfectionist streak has remained constant, even when it’s not work-related. Therefore, he wants to take longer to prepare than other couples. He wants their wedding to take place in two months. Besides, they’re both still busy with their respective jobs.

A few weeks had passed quickly, and Victoria felt like she’d just been proposed to yesterday, but it had now been three weeks since the proposal in the flower garden. Since then, news of their wedding had spread across social media and was still trending. This made her a little uncomfortable, as when they were looking for a venue for their wedding, some people who knew them would secretly talk about them, even if it was positive.

Today, they took the time to visit one of Matthias’s signature jewelry stores. They had already discussed the design of their wedding rings. However, Victoria still doubted they would be ready in time.

"Matty, is it true that they can finish it on time with the best quality?"

Matthias stroked his wife’s head. "You don’t need to worry. These acquaintances of mine are very reliable when it comes to completing my requests on time. If they fail, I’ll use other methods to scare them."

Victoria narrowed her eyes and put her hands on her hips. "But won’t they be annoyed with you? Especially since you’re such a perfectionist. When you want to design our ring, you always change it suddenly without my permission."

"Aren’t you the one who’s dissatisfied too? You’re the one who asked me to change the design!"

"I’m too lazy to argue with you about this." She hugged her husband’s hand tightly. "I really like the design of the ring, it’s just like my taste."

"I also don’t want to fight with you because you are too sweet today." Matthias blinked his right eye.

Victoria laughed awkwardly, pinching her husband’s cheek. "Are you trying to seduce me now so I won’t be angry anymore?"

Suddenly, a young man sat down on the sofa directly in front of the couple, his expression slack. He was especially reluctant to look at the face of the perfectionist CEO.

"Matthias, aren’t you tired of asking me to make rings for you guys?"

Matthias smiled slyly as he handed him his sketchbook. "Are you still not satisfied with my previous payment? This time, I’ll pay you more because I need the ring in two months."

The young man stared at Matthias’s ring design and nodded. "As usual, your designs are truly unique. What does it mean this time?"

"Of course it’s a secret. Only my wife knows."

"Actually, I’m really jealous of your wife, who you always treat like a queen. You’re the only one who treats her this way."

"Because I promised I wouldn’t make her cry again. Every time she cries, she becomes ugly."

Her gaze immediately glared at her husband, and she didn’t hesitate to step on his foot to vent her frustration. "Could you please stop making fun of me in front of your friends?"

"But you are ugly when you cry, I don’t like it!"

The young man laughed softly, gazing at the bride-to-be with a twinkling of an eye. "Don’t worry, if your husband calls you ugly, I’ll take you away from him and he’ll learn his lesson."

Matthias got up from the sofa, holding his wife’s hand tightly. "I just want our wedding rings to arrive on time and to meet my expectations, including the gold and diamond content."

"You don’t have to worry about that. For the sake of your wife being even more beautiful on your wedding day, I will definitely not disappoint her either."

After arranging their wedding rings, they also searched for a suitable venue. They’re still unsure about finding the right venue, as Matthias, as usual, is a perfectionist when it comes to wedding planning.

Now they’re visiting several hotels with outdoor facilities in case they get bored of holding their wedding indoors. Victoria actually really enjoyed all the places they visited, but as usual, Matthias’s unsatisfied attitude makes her tired and irritated.

"Matthias, I love this place. Why do you want to see somewhere else?"

"Because I feel like something’s missing. Even though this hotel is one of the most luxurious in town, I still don’t like it because so many people are already hosting parties here."

Victoria folded her arms. "Could it be that you were the one who was so fussy when it came to preparing for your wedding with Amber?"

"No. I’m the one who accepts things as they are. She’s the one who’s always ungrateful! Plus, she always gets angry whenever I don’t do what she wants."

"But, I still feel something’s strange. It seems like you’re a perfectionist."

They immediately began to think about their dream wedding venue. If Matthias wasn’t keen on holding a hotel wedding because it was too traditional, and they preferred to enjoy the view, an outdoor setting would be ideal.

Suddenly, a brilliant idea crossed their minds. They both snapped their fingers and then clasped hands tightly.

"I know!" they both said in unison, laughing out loud.

Matthias lifted his head right in front of his wife’s face. "Actually, I know what you’re thinking right now."

"Can you read my mind now?"

"As for you, can you guess what place I want to be our wedding venue?"

Victoria laughed mischievously, pinching her husband’s cheek. "I’ll guess later."

"If you can guess what I’m thinking, I’ll give you a special gift."

"Matty, why do you like playing secrets with me so much? Is it fun for you?"

"Because-"

drrt...drrt...

Suddenly, her phone vibrated in her blazer pocket. Victoria momentarily answered Jennifer’s call.

"Jennifer, what’s the matter with you calling me all of a sudden?"

"Victoria, what should I do now?"

"What’s wrong with you? Why does it sound like you’re crying?"

"Now I need you. You can also bring Matthias because Sawyer needs him."

Victoria stared at her husband for a moment, still looking innocent. "Why did you two want to meet us?"
