Chapter 378 Argument

Chapter 378: Chapter 378 Argument

Alexander raised an eyebrow, "How did you get out? Weren’t you imprisoned for murder? Aunt Morrison, stay away from him. This man kills without batting an eye, it’s all over the newspapers."

Harry suddenly chuckled, his icy demeanor instantly thawing, "Young Master Parker is so severely injured, I heard from the doctor it’s paralysis, yet you’re still out here catching a breeze?"

Alexander had never seen Harry smile at him, and now that he did, it was overwhelmingly gentle! It was unsettling!

"I’m not paralyzed, I’ll recover in a few days!"

"Connor, call our people, take him back to the hospital. If they dare to release this serious mental patient again, we’ll have the director replaced."

Connor grinned maliciously at Alexander, "Safe journey, without farewell, Young Master Parker!"

He abruptly pushed the wheelchair away, with his men catching it and pushing him off.

Shiely, ignoring Alexander, asked incredulously, "Harry, did you really kill someone? Will you go to prison?"

"No, rest assured, mother-in-law, I am a good citizen. I’ll live well with Isabella for the rest of my life. All those rumors are nonsense. As you know, our Hunter Family is under the limelight, so inevitably, there will be jealous people flinging dirt on me."

His words were sincere and thorough, and Shiely was 90% convinced. The remaining 10% was due to an innate skepticism she held towards anyone.

The group left the airport, got in the car, and headed to the sanatorium.

Before Shiely returned, Harry had already arranged everything. He knew that the pleasant climate abroad was beneficial for her recovery and found a similar place to continue her treatment.

Including the doctor Alexander found for her, Harry didn’t overlook him either and took him along.

Nobody knew where Alexander found the wellness doctor, but he seemed to have some real skill. Harry thought that in the future, this doctor could help adjust Isabella’s condition as well.

It saved him the trouble of painstakingly selecting a doctor; one good thing Alexander did, at least!

After settling Shiely, Isabella took Harry to the Garden Estate at the sanatorium.

"Are you angry?"

Harry looked at her, saying nothing.

He hadn’t spoken a word to her since they left the airport.

Isabella sighed helplessly, "You’ve been ignoring me. I know you’re definitely angry. I just made a deal with him to help us find Austin Winters."

"Do you think I’m inferior to him? That I can’t find Austin Winters on my own?"

"I didn’t mean that! I thought he originally worked with Austin Winters, so he might know more!"

"I don’t need to use you to make deals with others!"

Harry’s face was cold, his voice carrying a chilling undertone, devoid of the usual warmth, "Stay at the sanatorium for these days, you don’t need to go to work. I’ll come to get you after I deal with Austin Winters."

"I still have work! I need to go to the office!"

"You’re not allowed to go anywhere! Am I, Harry Hunter, unable to support my wife?!"

"You’re... you’re being unreasonable!"

"Being too reasonable might make my wife run off with someone else!"

Frustrated, Isabella punched him, "Who ran off with someone else? You’re accusing me!"

Harry stayed still, letting her punch him.

Her tantrums or spats were all right, he spoiled and indulged her, so she could be free.

But seeing her with Alexander at the airport, welcoming Shiely together, pierced his heart!

It seemed as though they were the real family, and he was merely an outsider!
