Chapter 240: Chapter 247: Why not wait in the car?
Lu Jinghan glanced sideways at the shop by the road and parked the car by the roadside, "Wait here, I’ll go buy it for you."
"Okay, I want strawberry flavor."
"Little glutton," Lu Jinghan said indulgently, then unbuckled his seatbelt, got out of the car, and walked towards the store.
The shop was booming with business, and a long line had formed inside. Lu Jinghan, tall and long-legged, stood patiently in line, while all the young girls around had their eyes glued to him.
"He’s so handsome, I wonder if he has a girlfriend?" one girl swooned softly.
The girl’s companion boldly encouraged, "Why don’t you go ask him? Maybe he likes your type, who knows."
"Is it really okay? Won’t it make me look too forward?"
"If you miss this opportunity, you’ll regret it; he’ll leave soon."
The girl bit her lip, blushed, and walked step by step towards Lu Jinghan, "You... hello, may I ask... do you have a girlfriend?"
The girl was so nervous that she could barely speak, her heart pounding relentlessly.
Lu Jinghan turned his head to look at the girl, but before he could reply, a clear voice came from the door, "Sorry, he’s already married."
With that, Han Xi had already walked up to Lu Jinghan’s side, naturally sliding her small hand through his arm, a faint smile on her lips like water.
The girl, flustered, lowered her head and turned to run away in panic.
Lu Jinghan lowered his eyes to look at the little woman clinging to him, his dark eyes like a brilliant starry night, "Why didn’t you wait in the car?"
"If I didn’t come over, would you have been whisked away by a little beauty?"
Han Xi suddenly felt that her husband’s good looks were sometimes a problem; no matter where he went, there were always girls who fancied him.
Lu Jinghan entwined his fingers tightly with Han Xi’s, smiling as he spoke, "Is my Mrs. Lu feeling jealous?"
"Yes, seeing other girls confess to my husband makes me so mad."
Lu Jinghan lowered his head to whisper in Han Xi’s ear, a voice only the two of them could hear, "Don’t worry, I will never be whisked away by another girl, I’m stuck with you for life."
Han Xi watched Lu Jinghan with a dimpled smile, her heart on the verge of bursting with sweetness.
The smile at the corner of Lu Jinghan’s mouth was equally unwavering, as he reached to wrap Han Xi tightly in his embrace.
The people in line next to them were envious to death of this couple, practically a perfect match of a male god and goddess, inciting envy from onlookers.
After buying the ice cream and returning to the car, Lu Jinghan leaned over to help Han Xi fasten her seatbelt. Just as he was about to turn the steering wheel to leave, Han Xi held up a small spoon of ice cream to his mouth, "Try it, it’s really good."
Lu Jinghan smiled and bent down to eat the ice cream from the spoon, "It’s really sweet."
With that, he reached out to gently tap Han Xi’s nose before turning the steering wheel onto the main road.
Han Xi scooped another spoonful into her mouth, muttering to herself softly, "All those girls just now had their eyes glued on you; didn’t they see the ring on your hand? Seriously......"
"Your husband is admired by so many people, but his heart belongs only to you. I think Mrs. Lu should be happy about that."
Lu Jinghan glanced at Han Xi sideways, a faint smile on his lips.
"So, if other guys take a fancy to me, but my heart is only for Mr. Lu, Mr. Lu should be happy too, right?"
Han Xi’s words left Lu Jinghan unsure of how to respond.
