Bai Ye looked helpless. He was actually quite protective of women.
But if they didn't give him the chance to be protective, what could he do?
Clang!
Bai Ye held up the Frost Sword horizontally, blocking another of Ziyuan's attacks.
Ziyuan appeared fierce. After her attack was blocked, she unhesitatingly raised her saber again, slashing down continuously.
Clang, clang, clang!
The crisp sound of metal clashing rang out repeatedly, but Bai Ye blocked them all. Moreover, Bai Ye could clearly feel Ziyuan's strength waning. She had likely gone from a healthy state to an injured one, affecting her physical attributes.
"Beauty, stop fighting!" Bai Ye spoke again, trying to persuade her. "You're no match for me!"
Ziyuan gritted her teeth and said, "Shut up!"
"Damn it, I'm giving you good advice," Bai Ye said. "It's just a couple of extra glances. You can't even fasten your own buttons, and you blame me for looking?"
"Shut up, shut up, shut up..."
Ziyuan was furious, her saber movements becoming even faster. However, perhaps due to her anger, she lost her composure, and her saber swings became more erratic.
"If I can't reason with you, then don't blame me!" Bai Ye sighed. "Phoenix Flame!"
Bai Ye suddenly raised the Frost Sword and swung it.
Accompanied by a gust of sword wind, flames ignited on the Frost Sword, striking Ziyuan's broad saber and forcing her back.
Following that...
Bai Ye took out Gengar's Beast Ball and threw it forward!
With a flash of white light, Gengar emerged from the Beast Ball, looking fierce.
"Gengar!" Bai Ye commanded. "Shadow Ball!"
Upon receiving Bai Ye's order, Gengar immediately leaped forward, tucking its short arms at its waist.
A black orb of light was quickly condensed by Gengar. Before Ziyuan could recover, Gengar raised the Shadow Ball high and hurled it towards Ziyuan.
Boom!
The Shadow Ball landed in front of Ziyuan, followed by another deafening explosion.
The ground was once again shattered, and layers of airwaves pushed outwards, sweeping Ziyuan away again. She skidded for three to four meters in the air before falling to the ground.
Bai Ye walked forward, but suddenly felt something was wrong and quickly turned around.
Under the sunlight, Bai Ye saw something flash, and then...
Squeak!
Extremely fine threads appeared in the air, wrapping around the Frost Sword and rubbing against it, producing a faint sound.
"Cang Ying, stop!"
A childish voice suddenly rang out. Immediately after, a figure flew from the treetop and landed in front of Bai Ye.
A dark robe, bronze skin, and a white horn on its forehead.
Without needing to scan, Bai Ye knew the other party was likely allied with Ziyuan, both being Oni.
Then...
Another shadow fell from the sky, but this time it wasn't humanoid. It was a ball, like jelly, and it bounced twice. From the front, one could see its eyes and mouth.
"What is this..." Bai Ye asked. "A slime?"
Ziyuan knelt on one knee, apologizing, "Lord Rimuru, I'm sorry for embarrassing you."
The slime bounced twice on the ground, then exploded in a burst of white smoke. Soon, a young boy emerged from the smoke, wearing a dark blue trench coat, a white scarf, and long, waist-length light blue hair. A short sword was sheathed at his waist.
The previous slime?
Bai Ye hesitated, then whispered, "Scan."

Bai Ye gasped. Strength over two hundred, stamina over three hundred, and spirit over two hundred...
With these stats, Bai Ye wanted to turn and run.
What was the point of fighting!
There was absolutely no chance of survival if he fought, and he would definitely be asking for a beating.
Bai Ye felt he had been impulsive. This area didn't seem like one he could explore casually, as it contained such formidable individuals.
However, as Bai Ye was about to turn and flee, Rimuru didn't seem to intend to attack. Instead, he spoke, "Are you from the Human Empire?"
Can communicate?
More importantly, willing to communicate?
Bai Ye's eyes lit up. As long as they could communicate, it meant he might not have to get beaten up.
Bai Ye spread his palms. "I think my appearance speaks for itself."
Ziyuan gritted her teeth. "Lord Rimuru, he's a hooligan. He, he, he, look at me..."
As Ziyuan spoke, she crossed her arms over her chest, and with that lift...
It became bigger!
Bai Ye immediately licked his lips and swallowed, but what felt strange to Bai Ye was that he heard a swallowing sound from the other side?
Bai Ye glanced at Rimuru and found his cheeks flushed red.
Good heavens, so he was a kindred spirit!
Rimuru seemed to notice Bai Ye looking at him and quickly coughed. "Ziyuan, his strength is above yours, but you are still alive now, which means he has no ill intentions."
"Brilliant!"
Bai Ye gave Rimuru a thumbs-up, then threw out Goodra. The next second, Bai Ye was instantly embraced by Goodra, his entire body becoming drenched.
Gengar, standing to the side, was not to be outdone. It opened its wide mouth, bit down on half of Bai Ye's head, and began spitting saliva at him.
Bai Ye felt like crying. Both of these pets were useful, but their hobby was a bit perverted – making their trainer wet!
Bai Ye helplessly wiped the slime off his face and said, "See, if I wanted to kill her, I really could."
Let alone Bai Ye, Goodra's strength was already above Ziyuan's. If Bai Ye had truly intended to kill, Ziyuan wouldn't have survived!
Rimuru nodded. "I understand. Allow me to introduce myself. I am the ruler of the Tempest Kingdom, though humans probably prefer to call us a monster kingdom. And I am what you call the Lord of Monsters, Rimuru Tempest. May I know your name, sir?"
"Bai Ye..." Bai Ye thought for a moment, then added his race. "Human!"
Rimuru said, "Although humans occasionally enter the Jura Tempest Forest, it's rare for them to come alone. May I ask why you have come here?"
"You might not believe it if I told you," Bai Ye said, spreading his hands helplessly. "I was just passing by. I had no intentions whatsoever, but that lady misunderstood me, probably thinking I was plotting something nefarious."
