Chapter 333: Can I have seconds?
Damon jerked. The first rush of her blood hit him like lightning, thick, rich, and venomous. He could taste it, the trace amounts of draconic blood that made her so irresistible to him.
It was faint, diluted, but unmistakable... the same tantalizing essence he’d tasted once before, when he’d devoured the blood essence of the mutated wyrm.
A frenzy took over him as his one hand grabbed her silky hair and yanked her head closer while his other hand found her marvelous, perky behind. He grabbed her tighter and sucked her as hard as he could, drinking in with an unrestrained hunger.
Erin moaned from pleasure and pain, which only made everything even more irresistible.
Damon allowed himself to completely indulge for a good minute before he quickly snapped out of it and regained a sense of control. He took a few more slow sips, savoring the last bit of her blood as he pulled himself back.
"Are you... Are you fine? Did I drink too much blood?"
Erin’s breathing was ragged, her body trembling in the aftermath of his bite. The wound at her neck oozed a thin line of dark green venom-tinged blood, but she made no move to heal it immediately. Instead, she bowed deeply, her eyes filled with reverence.
"My lord, I have never had a higher honor in my entire life. You have truly blessed me today beyond my wildest dreams."
"Just... tell me if it gets too much. I’m not looking to drain you dry."
Her eyes flashed, pupils narrowing in amusement. "If you did, my lord, I would only thank you on my way to the abyss."
The sight of her naked, trembling body once again invoked a burning desire inside him, but Damon stopped himself this time. After all, it would take her only a second to do the thing that Aurora had pulled off successfully. Bite him back!
He honestly did not think that she would do such a thing, as she seemed extremely loyal and submissive. Still, there was no need to risk things. Even with their loyalty and her attitude, she still did not hesitate to seduce him and try her best to get what she wanted.
Damon let out a sigh. It was not that he did not understand her intention or desperation. He moved closer and pulled her into a hug.
"Listen, about the request you made earlier. I am sorry I said no. It’s not a no forever. I will genuinely think about what you asked me for. I promise you we will definitely try and get back your memories. As soon as possible." He then let her go and stepped back.
Erin immediately shook her head. "My lord, you misunderstand me. I would indeed like my memories back and the restriction on my mind, body, and soul erased, but I only suggested this because you seemed in great need of my memories. Even if you blessed me with such an honor, I would not be able to remember everything instantly. It would only aid me in improving my ability to unravel my memory slowly."
Damon’s brow furrowed slightly. He thought so too. It’s not like a pregnancy can magically unlock compartments in her mind, but he was still surprised at her response. "So... you were willing to go that far, not for yourself, but because you thought I needed your memories right now?"
"Yes, my lord. My own desires are secondary. What I seek is to be useful to you, truly, wholly, without restraint. If bearing your seed would accelerate that, I would have offered myself a thousand times over. But I am not so heretic as to demand it if you wish otherwise."
Damon could see it in her eyes that she was being extremely sincere. It was the fierce, almost sacred commitment of a believer who had already decided her life’s purpose. And that purpose, somehow, was him. Him being the heir of that Venom King changed her so much?
He let out a sigh as his gaze drifted to the lake around them. He then suddenly noticed that he had absorbed a lot more of the miasmic waters in the past few seconds. Was it because of drinking her blood?
Cough. Cough. It was something worth testing.
"Hey, Erin. Tell me. Are you feeling weak right now? Do you have more blood? I mean... Can I drink more blood without weakening you or harming you? Answer honestly."
Damon knew he was being shameless here, but he was extremely short on time. He needed to get out of here and take care of other things, especially now that he also had to find a way to bring her memories back.
Also, he wouldn’t mind drinking some more. While Erin’s blood wasn’t as divine as Aurora’s, it was still one of the most intoxicating flavors he had ever tasted.
Erin, of course, immediately obliged. "My lord, I have more than enough to give. My body regenerates faster than most, and my blood... replenishes itself at a pace that has kept me alive through battles far worse than this."
She took a slow, deliberate step toward him, the faint scent of her venom-laced essence curling into the air like a lure. "If my blood strengthens you, then you may drink as much as you wish. I will not break. Please take me, my lord."
His hand reached up again, brushing her jaw as his thumb grazed the puncture marks on her neck. Despite her regenerative powers, these did not seem to be fading. He could tell that it was not normal, but he did not want to go into that right now.
"Tell me when to stop." He murmured. "If I go too far, say it. Don’t hesitate." Damon leaned closer, his breath brushing against her ear. Then, without another word, he bared his fangs once more and sank them back into her.
Damon’s grip tightened on her jaw, pulling her closer until her trembling naked body pressed flush against his. His blood essence roared in hunger.
The lake’s miasma seemed to stir and twist in response, drawn toward him in heavier currents, and he realized with a jolt that his absorption of it was accelerating.
The miasma around them churned more violently than before, seeping into his skin in visible tendrils, and the surge of strength rushing through his veins made his fangs itch for more taste.
His hand slid from her jaw to cradle the back of her neck, holding her in place as he drew deeper, slower, savoring every pulse of power she poured into him. This day had really taken an unexpected turn, and he was not going to shy away from making the best use of it.
