Chapter 112: Classless?
On the way to StoneHeart City, Bunny and the others encountered several monsters. However, thanks to their experience, all of them were easily dealt with.
Along the way, they leveled up as well — each one of them was now level 12.
Taking a quick glance at the rankings, Bunny muttered, "Top 20’s all level 10s already? Damn, people are grinding hard."
"Well, Realm of Ascendency is the next big thing. There are rumors that the developers will introduce more cool stuff as time passes. They probably don’t want to be left behind," said BrawlerX as he devoured a roasted jerky.
In the game, there were no stamina attributes or hunger levels. These were natural elements and didn’t have any visual representation.
If one overworked themselves, they’d be drained, and if one avoided eating for too long, they’d starve and lose HP every minute.
’So realistic, I can even perfectly taste the food,’ BrawlerX thought, eyes lighting up.
"If my guess is right, the ChaosKnight Guild will also head for the capital," Bunny narrowed her eyes. "We’ll keep an eye on them and make sure they don’t do anything stupid."
"Tsk, if they lay even a hand on Sir Broken, I’ll personally spawn-kill them and make this game unplayable!" declared Ragnarok99.
"For once in my life, I’ll support your violence," Bunny said dryly.
"Aren’t you guys forgetting something?" Sniperbowlegend, silent all this while, asked.
"You’re all forgetting Jayden. We all know if he joins this game, he’ll most likely side with his sister, and that will spell big trouble for us."
Both Ragnarok99 and Bunny paled slightly at the mention.
’Is this how it feels to join a meeting made up of high-level players?’ BrawlerX thought.
Never in his life did he think a day would come where he’d join a meeting where they casually threw in a legend like Jayden, who had taken the gaming world by storm.
"Jayden is retired. I’m sure he won’t come... out of retirement," Bunny said, though she didn’t sound convinced.
"Tsk. Even if he joins, I bet by then we’ll be far ahead of him, and with the help of Sir Broken, he wouldn’t even see our backs," sneered Ragnarok99.
He seemed pissed merely hearing Jayden’s name.
"Seems you forgot the kind of monster that guy is," Bunny chuckled, reminiscing about her encounter. Then she smirked and looked at Ragnarok99. "Besides, have you forgotten your brutal defeat in the finals of Ancient World?"
"You—" A big vein popped on Ragnarok’s head, but he calmed down. "That was three years ago. I’ve gotten better."
"Sure... let’s just hope he doesn’t join."
Some time later, they arrived at StoneHeart City, which had more towering and well-maintained walls. Even from the outside, tall buildings could be seen peeking through.
"Hahahaha, this was the safest journey in years!" the driver laughed and rewarded them generously.
The first thing they did after arriving was head to the closest church.
"Sorry, we can’t allow you to awaken your class here — and never return!" the knights at the front gate said rudely and pushed them out.
A worried expression crossed Bunny’s features. "This is bad. Now I’m convinced the church remembers what we did."
"Does this mean we won’t be able to get a class?" BrawlerX asked. "Without a class, is there any need to play the game?"
"There must be something we can do," Bunny frowned.
Suddenly, they heard a voice.
"Did the church stop you from awakening your class too?"
The four turned around, finding an NPC standing there.
"Yes," they replied.
The NPC nodded. "Yes, they’re fond of doing something like that — bunch of hypocritical counts. Fortunately for you Otherworldlers, every class association has an Awakening crystal."
"Class association? I read about that... are those the Mage Association, Warrior Association, and so on?" Bunny’s eyes lit up.
"Correct. For a better-functioning awakening crystal, I’d suggest you head to the capital to awaken it."
With these words, the NPC returned to whatever he was doing.
"Thank you, good sir!"
"You’re welcome."
When the man left, they proceeded to the park and took another truck heading straight for the Royal Capital.

Orc World
The second usurper’s name was Gro’Mar. He stood nearly seven feet tall. His blood-red eyes were locked on Gabriel, ignoring Gorath who stood beside him.
[Gro’Mar – LV.48]
"Figured these mini bosses would get stronger as I proceed."
"I shall crush your bones and scatter your ashes across the hills!" Gro’Mar roared, raising his hammer.
Gorath took a step back. "His hammer can cause localized shockwaves. One hit and you’ll be stunned — or worse."
"I won’t give him the chance."
As Gro’Mar charged, Gabriel dodged to the left, narrowly avoiding the downward slam of the massive warhammer. The ground exploded into chunks of dirt and lightning sparks where he’d just stood.
BOOM!
Gabriel didn’t waste time. He countered by activating [Vicious Pounce], a movement skill, and dashed forward like a missile, blade aimed for Gro’Mar’s exposed side.
He moved so fast, the large orc wasn’t able to block in time.
-21
-30!
-59!
Gro’Mar grunted as the blade grazed his skin, but he recovered quickly, using the momentum to slam his elbow backward into Gabriel’s chest.
However, the human didn’t budge.
The orc’s eyes widened, and before he could react, Crimson Judgement pierced his chest.

After successfully killing two usurpers and their men, Gabriel finally decided to take a look at his status screen.

Seeing his current stats, Gabriel was very satisfied. Nine more levels and he’d be eligible for his first class advancement.
Because he had resisted the urge to use his extraction talent on the weak orcs, he had stacked just enough EP to play with during the upcoming event.
Briefly scanning through his attributes, he allocated 40 stat points to Intelligence, bringing his total mana pool to 990.
Gabriel wiped the blood off his blade and turned to Gorath.
Gorath glanced up at him with deep respect in his eyes. "Only one remains now. The leader of the two and strongest of them all. But this time... there’s a tradition we must follow."
"What tradition?" Gabriel frowned.
Gorath sighed and spoke with determination shining in his eyes. "You’ll not be the one to fight the chief orc... I’ll be the one to fight him."
