Chapter 208: I’m pretty strong, just letting you know
Amaya, Kyana, Nadya, and Sasha followed Gwen out of Josslyn’s home as she waved goodbye to them as they left.
Gwen walked through the village, not paying attention to the many stares she was getting. Some people even started to mutter under their breath, but again, Gwen ignored them, not caring about what they were saying.
"That’s her!"
"It’s the outcast!"
"She’s the one without a class, right?"
"What is she doing back here?"
"Did she bring outsiders to our home?"
"Damn, you gonna let them talk about you like that?" Kai teased
"I don’t care what they say about me, never have. It was my family with whom I had a problem. And that’s all about to change."
Soon, they arrived at a fenced home that was large enough to house a lot of people. It was Gwen’s childhood home.
"Ohh, look what we have here! The runaway returns...and with friends." A young man dropped down from the roof, grinning from ear to ear. He had spoken loud enough for others to hear, and more people from inside the house walked out to see what was going on.
"Oh great, it’s Gwen." A young girl rolled her eyes.
"You here to bring shame to our name again?"
"Or was the outside world not what you expected?"
More and more of Gwen’s family appeared, belittling her, calling her names, and looking down on her. The look on their faces told Kai that they enjoyed doing this too.
Kai always looked at himself as a fun, chill, and adventurous person, and there was little that could make him upset. However, one thing that could make him upset was how others treated his women.
Hearing these bastards talk shit about Gwen made his blood boil. There was no way he would allow her to go through such mockery and belittling.
His hand twitched, getting ready to silence all of them, but Gwen stopped him. She shook her head and handled the situation herself.
"Bring out mom and dad." She demanded
"Pfft, yeah, no."
"They don’t want to lower themselves by being in your presence."
"Just leave. A failure like you shouldn’t even-Argghh!"
Kai couldn’t stop himself from flicking one of Gwen’s siblings in the head. He crashed into the house, destroying the front wall completely.
"Kai!"
"Sorry, but they’re pissing me off!"
"You fucking outsider! How dare you attack us at our own home! Well, kill you!" Every one of Gwen’s siblings transformed and attacked Kai, ignoring the others around him.
"I’d like to see you try!" Kai blitzed all of them, grabbing the head of the closest sibling, throwing him to the ground with devastating force.
"Get him!" The other swarmed him like bees against a wasp, but Kai was one powerful wasp.
Faster than they could even think, Kai danced around them like the wind, breaking ribs with each punch to the gut, cracking jaws with each punch to the face, and ripping off wings when he encountered one of the dragon class siblings.
His anger fueled him, and he didn’t plan on stopping until they learned their lesson.
"I’ll kill you!" A bright flash of light blinded everyone there, and a huge dragon’s jaw appeared from a magic circle one of the siblings summoned. It blasted a destructive beam of dragonic power that could obliterate mountains.
To Kai, however, this was nothing. He held out his finger, splitting the beam apart with it. He wasn’t even hurt, no, he wasn’t even tickled. He felt nothing, nothing except for the burning rage inside him.
"Let me show you what real power is." Kai wasn’t even halfway charged with his finger beam when every dragon, wyvern, drake, elder, warrior, and chief arrived at the scene.
They had sensed the commotion but turned a blind eye to it. But after feeling Kai’s power, they knew that something was up and arrived here as fast as they could.
"Kai, why don’t you stop what you’re doing?" Josslyn urged, speaking to him in a calm tone.
’He’s this powerful? That’s insane! I can tell that he’s barely using any of his power, and he’s strong enough to wipe out our entire clan with ease. We must not get on his bad side.’ She thought to herself.
"Whatever." Kai waved his hand, healing all of the siblings he had injured and restoring the damage he had caused.
"Hahaha! That was awesome! You sure showed them!" As usual, Amaya cheered Kai on.
"Thank." Gwen kissed him on the cheek, knowing that he did it for her.
"What’s going on here?!" Two people stepped out of the house. They were Gwen’s parents.
"Hello, mom, dad." Gwen greeted them.
Gwen’s dad looked at her with disgust. "What are you doing here?! Do you want me to get rid of you permanently?!"
Kai swiped his arm, a powerful beam cutting across the air that nearly took the head off Gwen’s father. But Josslyn stopped it just in time. She looked at him with eyes that begged him to stop, and after he saw her trembling hand that barely stopped his attack, he sighed, healed her hand, and listened to the conversation.
"What is this madness? How dare you try to-"
"Dad, listen. I came back here to tell you that I’ve managed to awaken a class." Gwen showed off her power.
Everyone ooed and awed, talking about how she’s no longer a failure, a great addition to their clan, and so on.
"But after getting this power, I realized that it was nothing to treat me horribly over. You, mom, and all of my siblings showed me what it’s like to not have a loving family, and I’ll never forgive you for treating me that way. I’ve found a new family now, and I’m married to the freaking hero!"
Kai showed them the sword.
Everyone gasped and looked a little spooked.
"You all are nothing to me now, and I don’t even care if you drop dead. I just wanted you to know that your biggest failure turned out to be the best out of all your children, and you have to live with that thought in your head now. This is all I came here to say, and I don’t plan on seeing you ever again. Goodbye."
Gwen turned around to leave, and the others followed her.
Kai looked back at Josslyn, blew her a kiss, then teleported away with his girls.
