Chapter 232: Please accept our gifts

"Whoa!"

"Wow. This place looks nice."

"I didn’t expect the tower to be fixed this soon."

"Cookies!"

"Slow down, little Timmy, you don’t want to run into anyone."

"I thought the Blue Tower was damaged?"

"So did I."

"Welcome, everyone! I’m so glad you were all able to make it. I hope you enjoy the gifts I prepared for you all. Please, enjoy your time at the banquet and have fun." Elyn, who was floating in the air, welcomed all of her guests.

She was wearing one of the dresses Kai bought. Just like the other one, it showed off her curves, new chest and ass size, and made her already beautiful self pop out even more.

The dress was a dark blue with those designs that made it sparkle in the light. She had blue jewelry, blue lipstick, and she was actually hovering in the air on a wave of water, not simply flying.

When she descended to the floor, she led everyone to the hall where he party would be held. It was Kai’s idea to have her do this, and she thought it was great. Not only would it show off her beauty, but it would also show that she could still use magic.

Everyone was taken aback by how amazing the banquet hall looked. The place looked like it was decorated with money since everything there was of the finest quality and was super expensive.

"Master Elyn, I’m glad that you’re doing okay. I heard that you were injured." One of the Blue Tower sympathizers said as she greeted her.

"Thank you. It’s true that I was injured, but I’m okay now. I was healed by one of my sorcerers." She smiled.

"Is that so? I heard that you went blind and your mana network was destroyed. You do know it’s impossible to recover from that, right?" Aleah was the one who said this, walking over to Elyn.

Aleah was also dressed fantastically in a beautiful red dress that rivaled Elyn’s own. She caught the attention of many people there, men and women alike.

"Bit here I am, using magic." Elyn made a waterball on her finger, shooting it at Aleah, who evaporated it with her fire magic.

"It appears so. Then was that a lie?" She asked. Aleah obviously knew the truth, but she wanted to make a scene so it would be easier to break Elyn down and get the blue tower under her control.

"You have spies in the blue tower, well, not anymore. But I’m sure they informed you about everything that happened here." Elyn fired back by admitting to everyone that the red tower placed their people in other towers to make Aleah look bad.

The murmuring of nobles began.

"Well, I’m also glad you’re doing well. The power dynamic between towers wouldn’t be the same without you." Aleah turned around to get something to drink.

Many nobles came to offer their sympathy. Whether it was fake or real, Elyn didn’t care and accepted it all.

More and more nobles arrived, filling up the place and setting the tone for the evening. They laughed, danced, flirted, gossiped, and talked business with one another. They loved the food, the drinks, and the gifts they got.

"Elyn." Galen greeted without any formalities.

"Galen." Elyn greeted back the same way.

"Let’s cut to the chase, shall we?" He pulled out a box containing an item.

"And what is this?"

"Heh, you’ll see." He cleared his throat and spoke in a really loud voice amplified by wind magic.

"Elyn Callaway, my old friend. I was deeply saddened after hearing about the Blue Tower, and I wish I had known sooner because I would have rushed over to help. But now that I see you’re doing well, I couldn’t help but be thankful to the goddess."

"Please, Galen, don’t put too much pressure on yourself. Knowing that you would help in times of need is something I’ll always be thankful for." She leaned in closer to him.

"Whatever bullshit you’re planning, stop now." She whispered.

Galen just chuckled. "As an apology and a token of my sincerity, I’ve come with a gift. Please accept this." He opened the box, making sure everyone could see what was in it. When they did, they all gasped.

"No way!"

"Is that..."

"Please accept this magic wand. It can boost the strength of any magic you use and can even be summoned at command after bonding with it using your blood."

This wasn’t just any magical wand; it was one of the relics of the White Magic Tower. Most people thought he was just being generous, but a lot of them knew the real reason behind the gesture.

"Oh, my! Master Galen, you’re too kind. B-But I can’t accept this. The staff is too sacred to your tower."

"Nonsesne! You’re my friend, and I’ll be happy to give this to you."

"I-If you insist, then I’ll gladly take it." Elyn closed the box and handed it to one of her assistants.

"If it’s time to share gifts, then I have one for you as well, Elyn." Aleah walked up with a small box in her hand. She opened it, and it was revealed to be an egg.

"No way!"

"A spirit beast!"

"Not just any spirit beast, a phoenix spirit beast!"

Elyn wanted to beat the shit out of Aleah for giving her something like this. Not only was the egg more valuable than the stupid ass wand Galen gave her, but Elyn was primarily a water mage, not a fire mage.

Sure, she can use fire magic, but as a person who dedicated herself to water arts, this was a slap in the face, and most people knew this as well.

"Aleah, you didn’t have to. This is an amazing gift! Thank you so much." Elyn faked a smile.

"It’s no big deal." She smiled and sat back down.

"Apologies for not making conversation with you earlier, Master Elyn. I was busy preparing my gift for you." This time, it was Tharn who walked up to give Elyn a gift.

"I heard about that bastard Carlito and how he not only nearly brought the blue tower to ruin, but also used up your funds. Because of that, I’ve brought you this as a gift." Tharn had his assistant bring in two chests full of gold.

"I hope this is enough gold to get your tower back up on its feet." He smiled.

"Master Tharn, you shouldn’t have. Thank you for your gift. You don’t understand how much this means to me and all of my sorcerers."

"It’s my pleasure."

Now with all of the main gifts planted into her hands, the tower masters took their first step in taking control over the blue tower. The next step would be to eliminate the competition.

But before that could happen, the other guests came forward, bearing gifts. This time, it was actually genuine.
