Chapter 272: Chapter 272: Led Astray by Her
Actually, Summer Sutton has always been a cautious person. If it weren’t for her light sleep waking her when the fire broke out, she would probably have been buried in there forever.
Adrian Walyon gets really upset at the thought that she almost lost her life.
But, looking at her current state, he can’t express any anger.
Summer Sutton wonders if Ariella Sawyer has woken up; not seeing her, she feels a bit uneasy.
"Adrian, Ariella is hurt too, more seriously than me; I want to go see her!" She pulled off the sheets and got out of bed.
Adrian has no choice but to accompany her.
Summer Sutton asked the nurse for Ariella Sawyer’s room number, and went directly there.
When she pushed the door open, Ariella had just woken up not long ago.
She obviously didn’t expect that just over-drinking could lead to such a huge incident, still hasn’t shaken off the fear from last night’s accident.
"Ariella!" Summer Sutton walked over and sat down at her bedside. The two exchanged glances, looking at the bandages on each other, having gone through life and death together just last night. Ariella seems to be particularly emotional, hugging her and crying out loud.
"Wail, Summer, thankfully I have you."
"Last night we almost died... wail..."
"We were just shooting an ad; it almost cost us our lives. Who did we provoke?"
Summer Sutton is not a girl who easily gets emotional, rarely cries.
Adrian originally thought Ariella would vent and that would be it, but unexpectedly, Summer hugged her and cried like a little girl too.
Last night’s event was too thrilling; she must have been really scared.
However frightened she may be, seeing the two women clinging together irritated Adrian.
He can’t stand every time Summer is with Ariella, it seems as though whenever the two are together, Summer’s easily led astray by Ariella.
Adrian suddenly worries if Summer will become a tomboy from working longer in Ariella Sawyer’s studio?
Thinking seriously about it, Adrian decides he must have a serious talk with Summer someday about her part-time job.
...
Summer Sutton stayed in Ariella’s hospital room for a long while, accompanied her, chatted extensively. Neither had serious issues, so they were discharged from the hospital the same day.
Adrian, seeing Summer having survived a disaster, initially worried her mood might be heavy for a long time.
Unexpectedly, just after discharge, Summer went to a hotpot place with Ariella for a large meal.
The dishes they ordered were plenty, laughing, joking, eating, chatting, by the time they came out, it was as though last night had never happened, strolling along the streets of London.
Adrian waited for Summer at the hotel, and upon her return, seeing her lively face, he quietly breathed a sigh of relief.
This woman remains quite optimistic, able to toss away unpleasant matters and even live somewhat carefree.
...
When she returned, Adrian took her back to the hotel where the accident happened, seeking an explanation from them.
The investigation by the hotel concluded that an employee dissatisfied with the boss set the fire out of spite.
The intact surveillance and the arsonist employee were found, and handed over to the police.
That’s the truth of last night. Adrian considered other possibilities, but being abroad now, the odds of his suspect carrying out such a meticulously planned scheme are unlikely.
