Chapter 331: Chapter 333: Are We Going to Live Here?

Unable to resist, she burst out laughing.

This just about drove Sophie Sullivan mad!

Calling her a pig?Who was he calling a pig?

Sophie Sullivan turned her head, her beautiful eyes locking onto Thomas Shannon. Suddenly, she sat on his lap, both hands gripping his neck, and said menacingly, "Thomas Shannon, apologize to me!"

Thomas Shannon leisurely relaxed, leaning back in his chair. His gaze, like someone watching Harry make a fuss, fell upon her face. "What did you say?"

"I said, apologize to me!"

"So, you admit you’re a pig?"

Sophie Sullivan: "..." She couldn’t find the words to respond!

The laughter of Charlie River and the man in black faintly reached her ears. Sophie Sullivan snorted coldly, turned her head, and said angrily, "Charlie River, you apologize to me!"

"My apologies." Charlie River apologized without hesitation, but his tone sounded perfunctory.

The man’s low, deep chuckles seemed to spill from his chest.

Angry, Sophie Sullivan clenched her tiny hands into rosy fists and pounded his chest twice. "Don’t laugh! Thomas Shannon, stop laughing!"

Thomas Shannon knew his limits; if he teased her any further, she would become agitated.

So, he raised his hand and took her fist. Her palm was so small, his one hand could envelop it.

Grasping her tiny fist, a hint of amusement flashed in Thomas Shannon’s eyes. His thin lips pursed slightly. "Okay, no more fuss."

"I’m not making a fuss. You insulted me, so you must apologize."

"Pigs are so cute. How could that be an insult?"

"Thomas Shannon, you’re still calling me a pig!"

Thomas Shannon laughed heartily, looking at her furious, puffed-up expression. She resembled an inflated pufferfish, her cheeks round and utterly adorable.

After all the fuss on the journey, Sophie was tired and still hadn’t managed to get an apology from Thomas Shannon.

Leaning wearily against the chair back, Sophie drifted into a deep sleep.

She slept so soundly, she lost track of how much time had passed.

After being jolted for a while, she slowly stirred awake.

Groggily opening her eyes to unfamiliar surroundings, she couldn’t help but look up. "Thomas Shannon, where are we?"

"City T."

City T was a popular summer resort with a pleasant climate year-round. It boasted not only a beautiful environment but also a rich and splendid history and culture. It was a dream destination for contemporary young artists and intellectuals, as well as for those with a deep sentimental attachment to City T.

Thomas Shannon carried Sophie in his arms as he walked towards the villa. She raised her arms and wrapped them around his neck. "So, we’re staying here?"

"Yes."

This was one of Thomas Shannon’s properties. He had arranged for servants to clean it before their arrival.

"Welcome home, Young Master!"

Ten servants, standing in two rows, respectfully bowed their heads and greeted in unison.

Thomas Shannon glanced down at Sophie in his arms. She had just woken up and still looked a bit dazed. "Are you hungry?"

"Not really."

Thomas Shannon turned his head and instructed a servant, "Have the kitchen prepare a light lunch. It should be primarily bland, suitable for a post-surgery patient."

"Yes, Young Master. We will inform the kitchen."

Carrying Sophie to the bedroom, Thomas Shannon gently set her down and looked at her face. "How do you feel? Does it hurt?"

"It doesn’t hurt too much."

He nodded lightly. Good.

Thomas Shannon raised his hand, glanced at his wristwatch, and said, "Stay here. Your movements are restricted to the villa. I have some matters to attend to, so I’ll be leaving now."

"Where are you going?" Sophie stood up, instinctively grabbing the hem of his clothes.

She looked a little scared he was leaving, didn’t she?
