Chapter 1773: Chapter 1773: Could Joy Turn to Sorrow?

The dinner was quite lively.

Ouyang Feifei’s mood was not affected by her conversation with Luo Ziling, at least not on the surface.

Originally, her personality was relatively cold and she didn’t like to talk much, so no one noticed anything unusual in her expression.

Yang Qingyin and Ouyang Feifei had similar expressions, sitting quietly at the table, eating and seldom talking.

The one who talked the most was Luo Yuqing.

Sitting next to Luo Xusheng, she was not restrained at all, constantly talking.

What she talked about most was her relationship with Luo Ziling and what the two of them were doing now. She also told everyone present that she had always regarded Ling Ruonan and Ouyang Feifei as her role models, and in the future, she wanted to become a successful woman like them.

“Ziling wants to build his own empire, and I will fully support him,” Luo Yuqing said proudly, flexing the muscles on her arm.

Luo Liansheng and Luo Xusheng both liked Luo Yuqing.

She is their descendant, so beautiful, and she suddenly appeared. Of course, they liked her.

Luo Yuqing’s lively behavior didn’t bother them at all; even Luo Xusheng rarely smiled.

Ling Ruonan felt a bit uncomfortable inside but didn’t show it. She even praised Luo Yuqing in public, saying that this granddaughter of the Luo Family had quite good ability and, with proper nurturing and resources, she would definitely achieve great things in the future.

Ouyang Lingyun and Ouyang Feifei certainly didn’t show hostility towards Luo Yuqing; Ouyang Lingyun just lamented about the whims of fate.

Yang Qingyin couldn’t say anything and just sat quietly.

Both she and Ouyang Feifei felt a bit awkward today; it was hard to join the conversation, and whatever they said seemed inappropriate, so they mostly opted for silence.

After dinner, Luo Liansheng, Luo Xusheng, Luo Yuqing, Ouyang Lingyun, and Ouyang Feifei went together to discuss business matters.

They discussed the subsequent cooperation between the two families.

Luo Ziling knew that Ouyang Lingyun and Ouyang Feifei must have had a special purpose coming today.

Yang Qingyin certainly wouldn’t join, and Luo Ziling didn’t want to get involved either, so he let Luo Yuqing speak on his behalf.

He wanted to talk with Yang Qingyin and also chat with Wuyue for a bit to ask about her plans over the period.

After accompanying Yang Qingyin out of the living room, Yang Qingyin sensibly said, “You talk with Sister Wuyue first; I’ll take a walk in the garden. I ate too much and need to digest it.”

Luo Ziling readily agreed.

“Master, they’ve been making a lot of small moves recently. Fortunately, we were vigilant early, otherwise something might have happened,” Wuyue proactively brought up the matter before Luo Ziling had a chance to ask, “Especially today, they might have known your dad was coming to Yanjing, so they wanted to plan action, but it ultimately didn’t happen.”

“Any idea who’s orchestrating these small moves?”

“Since they didn’t act, we couldn’t make a move either; we just prepared,” Wuyue shook her head, “We haven’t captured anyone, so it’s hard to figure out who they are.”

Luo Ziling thought for a moment and instructed Wuyue, “Try to keep things low-profile for now; we’ll make a decision after sorting out my dad’s matters.”

Knowing that Luo Xusheng might come back to Yanjing, Wuyue understood Luo Ziling’s intention and immediately nodded in agreement.

“If my dad comes back, some people will surely come with him; by then, I’ll find a way to bring them under your command too.” Luo Ziling patted Wuyue’s shoulder and smiled, “Both my mom and dad surely trust you, and you haven’t let anyone down. I believe many important tasks will still be entrusted to you in the future.”

“Thank you for your trust, Master,” Wuyue lowered her head, “I’m just afraid Miss might not feel reassured with me.”

“She’ll understand; after all, I’m her son. I wouldn’t do anything to harm her. I’ve grown up and can make decisions on many matters myself.” Luo Ziling smiled, “Don’t worry. If she finds someone else she trusts, then I’ll take you on board to help me directly. I think you’ll have more opportunities around me than with my mom.”

“Thank you, Master, I understand.” Wuyue didn’t say much more.

After discussing a few things with Wuyue, Luo Ziling went to find Yang Qingyin.

Yang Qingyin was standing beside the pavilion in the garden, contemplating while looking at the nightscape outside.

Only when Luo Ziling approached did she notice him.

“Finished talking?” She turned around, offering Luo Ziling a radiant smile, “You must have a lot going on these days.”

“Not just me, everyone in the family has a lot going on,” Luo Ziling sighed wryly, “I don’t want any issues with my dad’s return to Yanjing.”

Yang Qingyin misunderstood Luo Ziling’s meaning and quickly said she would discuss it with her grandfather, Yang Yuanshan, when she got back.

“Tomorrow I’ll go to treat Qingye and also treat your grandfather once, then I’ll talk to him directly about this matter. After I say it, you can talk to him again, hoping he acknowledges and doesn’t cause obstacles.”

Yang Qingyin nodded and agreed to Luo Ziling’s request.

“Senior, are you ready for the trip to the South?” Luo Ziling changed the subject.

Yang Qingyin asked in return, “Do you still have time to travel?”

“Honestly, not much time,” Luo Ziling replied with a bitter smile, “So many things make it hard to handle everything. But I’ll definitely keep my promise to you.”

“I heard you also plan to take your grandfather and your Great Grandfather for a trip to the South.” Yang Qingyin said, showing a playful expression, “How about combining the two trips into one, and I’ll sneak along behind all you bigshots? How’s that sound?”

“Is that okay?” Luo Ziling looked surprised, “Are you content with such a way of traveling?”

“Acceptable,” Yang Qingyin smiled sweetly at Luo Ziling, “Better than not being able to go at all. Anyway, we’ll have a lot of free time during the trip, surely we’ll have a chance to go out alone. Right?”

Seeing Yang Qingyin’s mischievous look, Luo Ziling understood her intention and smiled: “Alright then, since you’re okay with it, let’s travel together with them.”

“Take in the scenery by West Lake, then visit Yuezhou, and that should be enough. No need to see all of the South’s beauty in one go; there are so many years left in our lives, we can visit every year in the future. Otherwise, we won’t find a reason!” Saying this, Yang Qingyin took the initiative to hold Luo Ziling’s hand and gently leaned against his chest, “I think when I go out with you in the future, my grandpa won’t directly object anymore.”

“We’ve been waiting for this day for a long time.” Luo Ziling embraced Yang Qingyin, “You’re not unhappy, are you?”

Yang Qingyin quietly leaned against Luo Ziling for a while, then looked up at him, “I’m wondering, if the feud between our two families truly resolves, would there be a situation where joy turns into sorrow?”

Luo Ziling’s heart tingled, and he asked with a knitted brow, “What do you mean by that?”

Yang Qingyin shook her head lightly, without explanation.

But Luo Ziling already understood what she meant.
