Chapter 327: Chapter 326: Clearance
"My own wife, as long as I cherish you, that’s what matters. Why should I care about others’ opinions? If I cared, I wouldn’t have married you in the first place. I don’t mind, and you shouldn’t think about these things. Focus on studying well. We’ll both work hard and save money. Once you graduate, if you want to start your own factory, you can go ahead and do it. If not, I can help you find a job in a clothing factory."
"I won’t enter a clothing factory. I want to start my own factory."
"Alright, we’ll start a factory."
In the evening during class, Lin Wan also prepared two sets of clothes and gave them to Ma Tao.
He and his sister helped so much; it’s only right to show gratitude.
Ma Tao declined, but Lin Wan insisted, saying they couldn’t be friends if he didn’t accept. He accepted with some embarrassment.
The teacher told them to prepare this week. In a week, they’d start learning cutting and sewing. She asked the students to bring back a piece of fabric and some lines.
This wasn’t difficult for Lin Wan; her home was full of fabric scraps.
The renovations on Yin Peibai’s new house were almost done. Tomorrow, she invited the two of them over to take a look.
Lin Wan agreed.
The four-piece set she prepared for her would be finished tomorrow, just in time for a visit.
That night, Lin Wan returned home and organized the remaining clothes.
She picked a few sets of men’s autumn wear and packed them for Han Yi.
"You can give these to people when you get to the army. There are also two sets of women’s wear for Sister-in-law Zhang; don’t forget."
"It’s only Monday. I don’t leave until Saturday. Why the rush? Are you annoyed with me?" Han Yi hugged Lin Wan, feeling wronged.
"No more teasing. I’m just being a good wife and mother, covering all bases. I’m afraid as a man, you wouldn’t understand."
"Mhm mhm, Wanwan is right."
Lin Wan ignored him and took out the four-piece set to give to Yin Peibai and finished it overnight.
She checked everything was fine before going to bed.
"You go have fun tomorrow; I’ll make a trip to the store for you."
"No need to go so early. I’m going in the afternoon."
"Okay, what time will you be back in the afternoon? I’ll come to pick you up."
"Not sure yet; I can just ride my bike back. If you’re bored at home, go out for a walk."
"Okay."
The two snuggled up and chatted for a while, eventually talking about kids. Lin Wan asked him if he preferred boys or girls.
Han Yi said boys or girls were fine, just that she should have a couple more, as a home feels warmer with more kids.
Lin Wan pouted, internally criticizing Han Yi’s wish, knowing it wouldn’t come true. Family planning might start next year.
They would only be able to have one child.
She sighed. She had hoped to conceive by last New Year, and if she had, she’d be giving birth around now. After recovering for one or two months postpartum, she would’ve conceived another. With family planning starting, her second pregnancy would already be far along. No one would make her abort.
Now it seemed like it was just wishful thinking. The two of them simply weren’t meant to have it. She couldn’t conceive.
The next morning, Han Yi got up early to help his mother-in-law sell at the morning market.
Lin Wan slept until nine, then tidied up the remaining twenty or thirty pieces of clothing at home and headed to the store.
To her surprise, Sister Zhao was already waiting at the door.
"Sister Zhao, why are you here so early?"
"I was waiting for you," Sister Zhao smiled.
Lin Wan was taken aback and asked, "Did you sell out?"
"Yes, Lin sister, do you have more stock?"
"Not much, only about thirty pieces left."
"That’s enough. We only have one place needing restocking. They want fifty pieces, so thirty will do."
Lin Wan didn’t expect to clear out her inventory so early in the morning.
She felt happy inside.
"Lin sister, do you have any other clothes at home? Just these styles?"
"These are it for now. Next, I’ll be making some scarves, gloves, and hats, but not in large quantities." Lin Wan originally wanted to make thermal wear, but given the area, they might not need it. After watching that movie, she concluded clothing wouldn’t work, but making hats and scarves was still possible.
