Chapter 1489: Future

Chapter 1489: Future

Freoc and Alis sort of sensed the teasing nature behind Khan’s request, but took it seriously nonetheless. Alis even wore a complicit smile, silently agreeing to that promise before leading Tamara and her husband back to the Nele group.

Liiza’s dangerous aura didn’t really wane at Tamara and her parents’ departure, but she still reached for Khan’s arms, seizing their daughter.

The gesture had a deeper purpose, which Khan tried his best to uncover through the mental connection, only for it to reveal itself in the form of a violent impact and two muscular, cold arms that seemed to try their best to squeeze him to death.

Ilman had rushed forward as soon as the Nele family left to trap Khan into a tight hug, unleashing as much strength as he was capable of, even lifting and waving him left and right, unable to contain his excitement.

The most shocking scene in the entirety of that unheard-of and historic meeting unfolded at that very moment under a series of smiling faces and stunned peeks.

One of the strongest warriors in existence, wielder of unfathomable power and authority, self-proclaimed monster and walking calamity, able to move the entire regulated universe with his words, was being shaken left and right as if he were nothing more than a doll.

Of course, that was possible because Khan was letting Ilman have his fun. He deserved as much due to the special occasion, but the scene for most of the general audience remained utterly astonishing.

"My friend!" Ilman shouted during his prolonged, excited fit. "I couldn’t be happier to call you my best friend in the universe!"

Khan would normally do his best to free himself from Ilman’s clutches and quell his excitement, but his mind betrayed him, leading to genuine laughs.

After all, it was a time for celebrations, especially for Ilman and Jenna. Two of the most meaningful people in Khan’s life hadn’t only gotten together. They were also creating a family, and Khan believed he had played a crucial role in that.

The rough waving didn’t stop, and Khan peeked at his wife in the meantime. Jenna had also approached the married couple and was resting her head on Liiza’s shoulder while the two inspected the sleeping Yeza with broad smiles on their faces.

"We must toast together until the end of time!" Ilman laughed. "We must make sure this party will be remembered for ages on end!"

"Love, let go of Khan and come see his daughter," Jenna called. "Look at how cute she is."

Ilman immediately placed Khan down, only to slam his hands on his shoulders multiple times, wearing a grin so broad it attempted to injure his cheeks.

"I’m coming, dear," Ilman chuckled. "The parents must meet their son’s first playmate!"

Jenna had yet to show any visible traces of her pregnancy, but Ilman had somehow already decided that they would have a son. Also, the implications of his idiotic grin were so evident that Khan had to actively refrain from giving birth to a storm by mistake.

"If your kid does anything to my Princess," Khan began to threaten, only for Ilman to laugh even louder, wrapping an arm around his neck to lead him to their stunning partners.

Khan really wanted to oppose Ilman, but didn’t, especially since the green smile that soon pointed in his direction made him lose any will to fight back. As annoying as it was, he was truly happy for his friends.

"Khan," Jenna called once the two men reached her, leaving Liiza’s shoulder, straightening herself to wear a restless stance she struggled to suppress.

"You are truly impossible," Khan sighed. "Just come here already."

Jenna instantly lunged forward, clinging to Khan’s neck to hug him tightly. Liiza wanted to pretend to pout at the scene, but ended up smiling when Ilman approached her to throw praises for Yeza.

"Congratulations," Khan exclaimed, patting Jenna’s back. "So, was it as exciting as you hoped it would be?"

"It was that and more," Jenna revealed, rubbing her head on Khan’s neck. "How can you and Liiza even keep your hands to yourselves?"

"The night is still young," Liiza scoffed. "You’ll soon witness proper Niqols’ behavior."

"Indeed!" Ilman cried, crossing his arms to wear a proud stance. "The Niqols must show their ways before the universe."

"I can’t wait for that," Jenna giggled, finally letting go of Khan, only to take his hands, wearing the same restless but restrained stance as before.

"Look at you," Khan said, shaking his head. "Are you making it hard for your man?"

"Yes," Jenna happily nodded. "He is the best."

"Yeah, he is," Khan admitted. "Took you two long enough."

"I bet everyone was surprised," Ilman announced, "But I was the most surprised of them all! Who would have thought Jenna liked me?"

Khan and Liiza’s faces went blank while staring at the red-eyed Niqols. Even the Nele in the nearby group who heard Ilman’s loud question wore similarly perplexed expressions, but Jenna only giggled happily, letting go of Khan to cling to her man’s arm.

"Our child should be due in six to eight months," Jenna revealed. "He will be one year younger than your daughter, just like you are."

A chill ran down Khan and Liiza’s backs. She was indeed one year older than her husband, making that arrangement too similar not to spot a fateful vibe inside it.

"It’s impossible to know whether your child will be a boy so soon," Khan coughed, seizing Liiza’s hand in something that felt like primordial fear. "Right?"

"Right," Liiza nodded, but her unconvinced eyes kept staring at the smiling couple in front of her, leading to a more protective stance toward the baby in her arms.

"They are ecstatic," Ilman laughed, completely misreading the situation.

"The years ahead of us will be so exciting," Jenna stated, snuggling even closer to Ilman. "Shall I read their future? I read Khan’s once already."

"Don’t you dare," Khan warned, wary of the obvious conclusions Jenna would reach, summoning the only weapon that could get him out of that situation. "Ilman, let’s hit a cauldron. Now."
