Chapter 848: 848-Pushed Her In There.

Helanie:

A Few Hours Ago:

"That is so crazy, " I said as I watched Lucy’s face after she told me everything about the entities, the father, and Azura. She knew a lot because the entity had lived inside her.

Whatever she discussed with others, whatever she felt, Lucy had also felt it. It wasn’t just the entity reading her memories, Lucy had learned about its memories too. And those were her beloved twins.

Lucy explained that they were all half-siblings, that the father didn’t have them with one woman. He had a special woman he was supposed to have a certain number of children with, and now he wasn’t supposed to have any more.

Lucy never got to meet Azura’s mother and her mention wasn’t brought up by the entities either. The Father had been alive for many, many years, and this last set of four children were the ones meant to rule.

Now he was looking for one of his children to find a powerful man and create four babies who would take care of X-codex.

I could only think of one reason Azura was after Emmet so strongly. She wanted powerful babies with him so that together they could destroy the world. But she had no clue Emmet would never agree to it.

"Okay, so what are we going to do now?" I asked Norman, panicking as I rubbed my palms.

"We have to bring Emmet here in order to kill her," Maximus said, making me look at him with sad eyes. That would mean the last curse would break with Emmet being here in this world. That could be dangerous for him.

"But that will kill Emmet," Norman argued with Maximus.

My friends were clueless too. Thankfully, Jenny, Lamar, Sage, and Penn, along with my mother, were taking care of the babies. That’s why we were able to have this conversation.

We weren’t letting anyone near the babies anymore, not even the maids. How much could they do to protect them? They were just omegas. And I didn’t want them getting hurt in the process of saving my babies either. So we needed someone strong by our side, and for that, we really only had my friends.

"I say we push Azura inside," Kaye said, and everyone turned to look at him.

"Um, what?" I asked, studying his face.

"Remember what was told to you when Gavin went inside?" Norman said, snapping his fingers and reminding me of the time Gavin had gone in.

I watched their faces as I let Norman explain.

"Whatever happens in the dream world also happens here. For example, if someone gets hurt, the wounds show up here. If someone dies, they die in real time," Norman explained. But I didn’t know how much I could rely on that, because there was one big part they were forgetting.

"Well, since Emmet is in this land and most of the curses are gone, only his is left. So you better believe his curse is rising. He has forgotten everyone, and we don’t know how much time has passed there for him—years, months, weeks. If she goes in, she could manipulate him," I said, not at all convinced about sending her in.

"That is a good question," Maximus said, turning to Norman for help.

"Or one of us could enter too," Kaye suggested, which actually seemed like a good idea.

"True, I’ll go in there. And when I’m with him, I’m pretty sure I can convince him of the truth, not what she says." I snapped my fingers with a bright smile, but I could already tell most of them didn’t agree. Even their father looked doubtful.

"What?" I asked, hands on my waist.

"Do you not think Azura will pressure him too? Try to get him to kill you?" Lord McQuoid asked quietly.

"I know she would. I’m not saying I forgot that part, but I’m sure Emmet will remember me. See, this is what happened with Maximus and Kay," I said, full of hope.

"Yeah, we can’t risk it. It will be different with Emmet. Not only has he completely forgotten, he’s probably lived months there thinking it’s his normal life," Norman said, and my shoulders slumped. I didn’t like the idea.

"Okay, for what it’s worth, I’ll go with Azura. I’ll be able to move my brother, and then you can come join us later if it’s not working out," Maximus suggested, watching everyone’s faces. They nodded almost instantly, agreeing with him.

So it was decided. He would go in first with Azura.

We waited for her arrival, and the minute she showed up at the door, just like we expected once she saw no warriors around, we hit her on the back of the head. Her body slumped and dropped to the floor. We knew she didn’t have a powerful wolf.

She was the only one who was fully human among her siblings. So she could go in while her wolf stayed out. It would work.

The plan was made. Everything was set in motion. We carried her into the room and laid her down. While doing so, I couldn’t help but stare at Emmet, sleeping peacefully as if he was meant to stay there forever. It broke my heart that he wasn’t with us to meet his babies.

And he was not here to hear about his brothers getting rid of their curses. He would have been so happy for them. I knew that because I knew Emmet and how much he cared about his brothers and wanted this to be over.

Once Maximus had lain down in the empty bed next to Azura’s, I took a deep breath and started to walk out of the room. Azura must have already entered. Maximus had to fall asleep for it. So I guessed there was a difference of a few weeks for them.

As soon as I stepped out, I saw Lucy and Gavin standing in front of the room.

"Actually, we couldn’t help correcting you guys a little bit. Time runs differently. What seems like hours here is only a few seconds there," they said.

When they said that, my eyes widened. I knew the time was different. I had forgotten it was the opposite, and a bright smile started to cover my face.

"So it means Emmet had only been there for a few minutes, maybe?" I asked. Both Gavin and Lucy gave me pleasant smiles, which filled me with hope.

But before long I noticed that everyone was yawning and there was something very strange in the air, something magical, something very dramatic.
