Chapter 840 Found?

Zhou Jin drove quickly, bringing Ling Feng into a military base.

"Have Yang Fei arrange a small fighter jet. We need to move fast," Ling Feng instructed Zhou Jin.

Zhou Jin was taken aback. "Ah? Heavenly Venerate, where are we going?"

"It's not 'we,' it's just you and me!" Ling Feng replied casually. Seeing Zhou Jin's increasingly nervous expression, he added, "To Zhejiang Province. We've found it!"

Upon hearing this, Zhou Jin's eyes widened. "Found it? Is that true?"

"It's true," Ling Feng responded nonchalantly.

Clearly, Zhou Jin had been hoping to find the last type of Dragon Blood inheritance, the Profound Yin Dragon Blood. If he could find all these things, Zhou Jin would gain even greater power, which was no small matter.

Zhou Jin's eyes gleamed with excitement. "Excellent, the plan for us descendants of the dragon can finally begin!"

Ling Feng raised an eyebrow. "What did you say? The dragon's plan?"

Zhou Jin quickly covered his mouth and gave Ling Feng a sheepish grin. "Heh heh, this plan is still in the preparation stages. I'll report back to you, Heavenly Venerate, once I'm ready!"

Although Ling Feng was very interested in these matters, he didn't waste too much time with Zhou Jin. The young man was quite cunning. He just hoped that when the time came, Zhou Jin would bring him pleasant surprises, not terrifying ones!

Yang Fei soon arranged a very sleek-looking fighter jet. Ling Feng didn't exchange pleasantries with Yang Fei, directly boarding the fighter jet with Zhou Jin. The boarding requirements for such a jet were extremely high, demanding excellent physical condition and rigorous assessments. Zhou Jin naturally met the requirements, and Ling Feng was even less of an issue. However, for an ordinary person, a ride in this jet would likely result in severe dizziness, or even damage to their internal organs.

In less than half an hour, Ling Feng had brought Zhou Jin to their destination!

Looking at the impoverished, remote surroundings, Zhou Jin couldn't help but frown slightly. "Didn't they say those mysterious reclusive masters lived in seclusion in the bustling cities? Why have they hidden themselves away in such a remote mountain valley?" Zhou Jin muttered to himself.

Ling Feng said coldly, "It's fine for living people to hide in cities, but what's hidden here are the dead!"

"The dead? Ah? What does that mean?" Zhou Jin asked, confused.

Ling Feng glanced at Zhou Jin. "Did you think I brought you here for a stroll? It's precisely because they are dead that I've brought you here!"

"Oh, I get it!" Zhou Jin's eyes lit up, clearly understanding Ling Feng's meaning. "You mean I should extract some genetic material from the deceased, cultivate it, and then regenerate them, right?" Zhou Jin was incredibly excited, seeming to become happier with increased difficulty. "Heh heh, this is truly my specialty. If you had brought anyone else, it really wouldn't work!"

Ling Feng shook his head at Zhou Jin. "The situation here might be more complex than you imagine. You'll understand once we get down there!"

"Get down there?" Hearing this, Zhou Jin's mouth twitched. How could they "get down there"? What was going on? It sounded rather chilling!

Ling Feng didn't bother with further explanations and led Zhou Jin into the village, which appeared to be shrouded in heavy mist. Why did it seem so damp? Because from a great distance, one could see the dense fog. Based on Ling Feng's observations, the fog here was unusual. While he didn't know much about Feng Shui, he had some experience. Therefore, the inheritor of the Profound Yin Dragon Blood must have had a reason for burying the "dead" or certain things here. This place had clearly been carefully chosen.

"Old timer, what's that mountain over there called?" Soon, Ling Feng approached a thin middle-aged man tending to a cow and asked.

Zhou Jin shook his head somewhat sheepishly. This was awkward. He should have been the one to ask, otherwise, why bring his subordinate? What was Ling Feng's status? Asking someone for directions like this was truly beneath him!

The old man tending the cow glanced in the direction Ling Feng indicated, then shivered and quickly turned his head back, as if something terrifying truly resided there, something one shouldn't look at for too long, lest they be entangled by it!

Ling Feng was puzzled by the man's reaction but patiently waited.

"That's called Zhe Long Mountain. Young man, don't go up there. There are demons and ghosts!" The old man said. "Thirty to forty years ago, only one person from our village who went up ever returned alive, and that was an old hunter! You absolutely cannot go to that mountain!"

The old man repeatedly warned Ling Feng, then, as if unwilling to discuss it further, he started to lead his cow away. Ling Feng, however, became even more interested and pressed the old man. "Why? Is the mountain that dangerous? What are these 'demons and ghosts'?"

"Demons and ghosts, they are the spirits of the dead... Oh dear, don't go up there! Several groups of people have come before, all saying there was treasure up there, but not a single one returned alive!" The old man seemed annoyed by Ling Feng's questions.

Ling Feng frowned slightly. "How do you know no one survived? Perhaps they went around the mountain?"

"Impossible. See that river? It flows down from Zhe Long Mountain. Those who went there, only their corpses and some bones were washed down. Many people died. Don't go up there to court death!"

Ling Feng instinctively looked at the river the old man mentioned. Indeed, it wound its way up Zhe Long Mountain.

"Alright, I understand," Ling Feng said with a slight smile.

The old man looked at Ling Feng and his companion deeply, then shook his head. "Forget it, I can't persuade you outsiders. What treasure could be up there? If there were, our villagers would have discovered it forty to fifty years ago!" With that, the old man left.

Zhou Jin, meanwhile, felt a bit scared. The more these researchers encountered chilling tales, the more their skin would crawl! "Heavenly Venerate, could there really be some demons and ghosts up there?"

Ling Feng turned and glared at Zhou Jin. "Won't we know if we go up and look?"

"Go up and look..." Zhou Jin almost blurted out that going up to look might mean losing his life. But then he thought of Ling Feng's invincible might, and suppressed a sliver of his apprehension!
