Chapter 418 The Lamb Never Stopped Screaming, The Nightmare Never Left

Su Han: "But our sense of time is different."

"You're running out of time."

Su Han and Judy were both deeply immersed in their roles.

Both were deeply invested in the emotions.

"Later, please listen!"

"We only have five."

Su Han: "No, I want to listen now!"

He lowered his head slightly, his eyes fixed intently on Judy, showing no intention of diverting his gaze from her.

His gaze possessed a certain penetrating quality, as if it could see through people, penetrate their very being.

This made Judy, standing before him, unable to move, frozen and傻傻地.

Su Han gazed at her and began to analyze, "After your father was murdered, you became an orphan at ten years old."

"You went to Montana, lived with some cousins who raised sheep and horses. What happened next?"

His gaze carried a sense of pressure, making one feel suffocated.

It even caused the surrounding crew members to gasp involuntarily.

Judy, the actress opposite him, already had tears welling up in her eyes.

"I ran away one morning."

Su Han pressed, "No, what made you leave?"

"When did you leave?"

"Very early, before dawn."

"Did something wake you up later, was it a dream?"

"What was it?"

Judy's eyes changed, showing an expression of extreme reluctance to recall the past, an extreme unwillingness to remember.

"Yes."

"Screams."

"Like a child screaming."

"What did you do?"

"I went downstairs, out of the house, and I snuck into the sheep pen."

"I was afraid to look inside, but I had to."

"What did you see that frightened you so much? What did you see?" Su Han continued to press, his eyes still possessing that penetrating quality, as if seeing through Judy.

Judy's gaze softened, even showing a hint of vulnerability.

She was recalling the past she didn't want to remember.

"Some lambs."

"They were screaming."

Su Han's gaze remained piercing; he looked directly at her.

"They were slaughtering the lambs?"

Judy's eyes welled up with tears, "And they were screaming."

"And then you ran away?"

"No, at first I wanted to set them free."

"I opened their gate, and they just stood there, confused, unwilling to go."

"But you could leave, and you did, didn't you?"

"Yes, I picked up a lamb and ran."

"Where did you go?"

"I don't know, I had no food or water."

"And it was cold, very cold."

"I thought."

"I thought I could at least save one lamb."

"But it was heavy."

"It was really heavy."

Throughout this dialogue, Judy was extremely fragile, evoking a sense of pity in the onlookers.

"I hadn't gone a few miles before the ranch manager's car intercepted me."

"The ranch owner was very angry and sent me to an orphanage."

"After that, I never saw that ranch again."

Su Han: "And what about your lamb?"

At this point, Judy's eyes turned red.

"They killed it."

"Sometimes you still wake up, don't you?"

"Wake up in the dark,"

"Hearing those lambs scream?"

"Yes."

At this moment, Su Han's eyes also welled up with tears; he was also moved.

"You believe that if you saved Catherine, it would make them stop screaming, don't you?"

"You believe that if Catherine lived…"

"You wouldn't be startled awake by those terrifying sheep sounds in the night anymore."

Judy was losing control, "I don't know."

"I don't know."

"Thank you, Starling."

"Thank you."

Judy: "Tell me his name."

Su Han looked up, his vision blurred; he also tried to prevent tears from falling.

He blinked and looked away from Judy, toward the side.

"Dr. Chilton, wasn't it?"

"I believe you know each other."

A few people came forward to take Judy away; her time was up, and she had to leave.

After Judy was led away, Su Han stood up and looked at her.

"When those lambs stop screaming, you'll tell me, won't you?"

"Say his name!"

"Starling!"

"Your file!"

Judy rushed forward to grab the file, and in this soul-grabbing moment, Su Han gave her fingertips a soul touch.

It was, in essence, the most Platonic soul touch of fingertips in history.

In fact, this dialogue, though seemingly trivial, was not easy to perform well.

And this dialogue could be considered a classic, and it also served as the film's central theme.

The movie was titled "The Silence of the Lambs," yet the female protagonist said she heard the lambs screaming.

What did the lambs refer to?

This movie is actually obscure and difficult to understand. Without in-depth analysis, most people wouldn't truly grasp its meaning.

Because the movie's poster is quite profound.

The film also touches upon religious matters.

Here, the lamb is a metaphor for Christ.

In the Bible, Jesus is referred to as the Lamb of God. Jesus came to the world to atone for humanity's sins.

Simultaneously, the lamb represents the weak, symbolizing victimized groups.

In reality, we are all lambs, all prey.

We don't know what tragic fates await us.

Illness, poverty, persecution, disability, blindness, madness, even death.

The lamb also symbolizes being confined in the cage of ignorance and destiny, individuals who could be chosen by evil at any moment.

Lambs can also be understood as childhood in life…
