572: Chapter 572 Trouble 572: Chapter 572 Trouble The following order was quite good, with one question after another, and Tangyu responded very refreshingly and intelligently, leaving no room for criticism.
Half an hour passed quickly, and when Tangyu checked the time, he waved his hand and said, “Alright, time’s up, everyone should head back to their homes.
I won’t answer any more questions.
I’ve cooperated with all of you, so please don’t come asking me any further questions, thank you.”
The principal smiled and came over, saying, “Divine Doctor Tang must be tired, so let’s not make it difficult for him.
If you have any questions, ask me.
Since our media reporter friends are so enthusiastic, I’ll go ahead and answer your questions.”
When the reporters saw Tangyu wouldn’t dare to answer any more questions, they could only turn their attention to the principal.
Tangyu squeezed out of the crowd and headed for the school infirmary, hoping that this would finally stop the reporters from following him.
Otherwise, the lack of any personal freedom was indeed giving Tangyu a severe headache.
If it weren’t for his civility, he would have wanted to hit someone.
His biggest annoyance was being incessantly nagged.
Tangyu was now beginning to understand why celebrities hated paparazzi—it was indeed very irksome, at least he didn’t like it at all.
Plain living is the real deal, plain living is happiness.
You might say Tangyu lacks great ambition, but he just wants to live simply, happily, and blissfully.
Life doesn’t have to be spectacular or achieve great feats to be thrilling.
What is happiness?
Happiness is two people being together, even if they can’t get enough to eat, that is still happiness.
Given the choice, Tangyu would rather live a simple life with his master Ghost Doctor in Ghost Doctor Valley, and of course now include the women he likes; with them, anywhere would be bliss.
Unfortunately, one does not control one’s own fate, and destiny’s arrangement means that he, Tangyu, would have to do something earth-shattering after all.
Tangyu doesn’t know what the future holds, but at this moment, he just wants his share of tranquility and peace.
Reality can’t penetrate his dreams, nor can fate change his life.
“Tangyu, why are you so unique?” Mo Xiaoqing caught up and asked.
Tangyu curled his lips into a smile, “Everyone is unique, everyone is one of a kind, just a drop in the ocean.”
“That’s not what I meant.
I’m saying you truly are special,” said Mo Xiaoqing.
“That still isn’t what I meant,” replied Tangyu.
Mo Xiaoqing was getting a bit frustrated, unable to explain herself clearly.
She thought about it and realized she couldn’t really find simpler words to explain, and seeing her anxious expression, Tangyu laughed, “Alright, I’m just teasing you.
Maybe I’m not quite suited to this kind of life you all have.
I am me, unique and not understood by others, but that’s still me.
If you don’t understand some things about me, that’s because you are not me.
From my perspective, everything I do is very rational.
If I have to put it into words, I could only say that some people have lofty aspirations, and I’m just a person without them.”
Mo Xiaoqing chuckled, “I don’t believe you’re a person without ambition.
I feel like you’re definitely going to do something amazing.”
Tangyu looked at Mo Xiaoqing and, with a restrained smile, said, “You talk as if you know me well, how could you figure me out so clearly?
That doesn’t seem quite reasonable.”
“What are you talking about?
Can’t I read people, or is a woman’s intuition not enough?” Mo Xiaoqing said.
“Sure, you’re a beauty, and what you say goes.
I’m not going to argue with you, right?” Tangyu replied.
Mo Xiaoqing immediately rolled her eyes at Tangyu, “I’m going to the office, goodbye.” After saying this, she left in a huff, splitting from Tangyu.
Watching Mo Xiaoqing’s retreating figure, Tangyu shook his head with a smile and whistled a little tune as he walked to the infirmary.
Having dealt with the media reporters, Tangyu felt much more relieved.
He checked the time; the break between the second and third classes had passed, and it was during the third class, so Tangyu didn’t have to worry about those fanatical students blocking up his infirmary anymore.
But Tangyu had hardly settled down when he spotted a familiar figure approaching—the person was Lin Feifei.
Lin Feifei was a well-behaved and good student.
Why wasn’t she attending class during class hours but instead coming his way?
Even if she missed him, there was no need to rush, right?
Could there be something wrong with her health?
No, that didn’t seem likely, her health should be quite good.
After pondering for a while, Lin Feifei walked into the infirmary, and Tangyu went up with a smile to grab her hand.
Lin Feifei immediately tried to pull away but couldn’t, and she said, “People will see.”
“What’s there to fear; our relationship has been made public long ago.
Everyone knows.
Feifei, why are you not in class but looking for me instead?” asked Tangyu.
Lin Feifei said, “I have something for you; Chairman Bi of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Association called me to ask you to call him back; he said he has something for you.
So, I came over to tell you.”
“Hmm, Chairman Bi is looking for me,” Tangyu also showed a moment of surprise, then shook his head with a smile.
Chairman Bi was really something, unable to find him he even resorted to calling Lin Feifei—truly a master move warranting respect.
If Chairman Bi was in a hurry to find him, Tangyu couldn’t afford to take it lightly, so he took out his phone and turned it on.
Lin Feifei immediately said, “I’ve delivered the message; I’ll go back to class now,” and left the infirmary as if escaping.
At the school, Lin Feifei had also become a hot topic, being Tangyu’s officially recognized girlfriend.
Therefore, from her lips, one could often get to know things that couldn’t be extracted from Tangyu.
Besides, Lin Feifei was already a noteworthy person at Linshan Middle School.
After turning on his phone, Tangyu saw a whole bunch of missed calls, too lazy to check he directly called Chairman Bi.
The phone was quickly connected, and as soon as it was, Chairman Bi’s complaining voice came through, “Divine Doctor Tang, finding you is harder than reaching the mayor.
I don’t know how many calls I made, none could get through.
If there had been an emergency, you would have given me a heart attack with your absence.”
“Haha, Chairman Bi, stop teasing me.
I was being bothered by those guys, so I had to turn off my phone; otherwise, I would be getting calls every second.
I haven’t had time to get a new card.
I’ll give you the new number as soon as I get it.
Chairman Bi, you’re in such a hurry to find me; is there something wrong?
Tangyu asked with a smile.
“Yes, Tangyu, I’m looking for you because there’s something very important.
It’s too complicated to explain over the phone.
How about this, are you free at noon?
If you are, I’ll treat you to lunch,” Chairman Bi said.
“I do have time at noon, but how could I let Chairman Bi treat me?
I should be the one treating you,” Tangyu said, feeling embarrassed about letting Chairman Bi pay.
After all, Bi was a senior colleague whom Tangyu highly respected.
Chairman Bi chuckled and said, “If you treat, then are you planning to invite me to a media feast?
Come to my house at noon, I’ll have Ye Mai pick you up.”
“In that case, I won’t be shy about mooching off you then,” Tangyu replied.
“Alright, keep your phone available.
Otherwise, just go to the school gate and wait for Ye Mai.
You get out of class at eleven twenty, I’ll have Ye Mai wait for you right on time,” Chairman Bi instructed.
“Okay, sure,” Tangyu nodded in agreement.
Tangyu wanted to keep his phone on but barely had the chance to put it in his pocket when a call from an unknown and out-of-town number came through.
So, he had to turn off his phone again, preferring the quiet.
Otherwise, even without answering, the constant ringing would be irritating.
It was now the third period, also the last class of the morning.
Fortunately, no students came to disturb him.
As class was nearly over, Tangyu locked up the infirmary door five minutes early and started walking towards the school gate.
From a distance, he noticed that the media reporters had cooperated and left.
This reassured Tangyu that he could exit through the main gate without any trouble; otherwise, he would have had to use the back door again.
The security guards greeted him as they saw Tangyu, their curious gazes following him.
Tangyu nodded at them, a gesture that filled the guards with smiles.
Upon exiting the school gate, he saw a black Audi parked under a tree with someone’s head sticking out of the window – it was Ye Mai.
Tangyu walked over.
Just as he was approaching the Audi and thinking about getting inside, a red BMW drove towards them.
Tangyu could see through the windshield that the driver was Zhang Xiaoxi.
Zhang had obviously seen Tangyu, so she drove over and stopped right in front of Ye Mai’s car, blocking it.
After parking, Zhang hopped out and walked towards Tangyu.
“Xiaoxi, what brings you here?” Tangyu greeted her with a smile.
Zhang Xiaoxi smiled and said, “I came to soak in some of your ‘Immortal Qi,’ to see just how busy you are.
I’ve called you more than a dozen times and it was always switched off.
I had no choice but to come to the school to find you.
Luckily, I didn’t have to make an effort to get inside and caught you right here.”
“Blocking me, why?
Planning to kidnap me?
Let me be clear, I perform but don’t sell myself,” Tangyu joked.
Ye Mai watched the two with a curious expression, wondering what was going on between them.
It seemed Tangyu’s romantic encounters were quite remarkable – almost like he was cheating the system, too incredible to believe.
“Go to hell, I don’t care whether you perform or sell yourself; nobody’s buying anyway.
It wasn’t my choice to come.
My grandpa asked me to.
You really think you’re handsome, don’t you?
My grandpa invited you to our house for a meal, when are you free?” Zhang Xiaoxi asked.
“How about tonight?” Tangyu asked.
“No,” Zhang Xiaoxi flatly refused.
“Why not?” Tangyu was puzzled.
“No reason, it’s just not possible.
How about tomorrow at noon?
I’ll pick you up,” Zhang Xiaoxi said.
Tangyu pouted and said, “You’re really going for a hard sell, aren’t you?
You should at least consider my feelings.
I think tonight would be better; I’m in the mood for a drink and could accompany Grandpa Zhang to drink to our heart’s content.
Your place is big, so sparing one bed for me shouldn’t be a problem, right?
If not, I really don’t mind squeezing in somewhere, even sleeping on the floor is okay.”
“Get lost.
Take it or leave it.
Tomorrow at noon, where should I pick you up?” Zhang Xiaoxi demanded, then glared at Ye Mai and added, “What are you laughing at?”
Immediately, Ye Mai closed his mouth.
“Ah, women should be more gentle.
Alright, let’s meet at the company,” Tangyu said.
Zhang Xiaoxi got into her car without looking back and drove off.
Ye Mai gave Tangyu an admiring thumbs-up, and Tangyu responded with a shrugged shoulder and a wry smile.
