Chapter 456: illegal organ trade?

Chapter 456: illegal organ trade?

City C (10th Zone)

Jeremy is looking through the window. He sees no sign of help coming for the criminal. The four women seem to have gone as well.

At that time, the criminal opened his eyes. His eyes were blood red. He recalled what happened to him. He sees that he is on the floor inside the wooden cabin.

His gaze then fell on the young man who had shot his legs. His eyes flashed with anger.

At the same time, a sense of death covered his heart. From the corner of his left eye, Jeremy spotted the criminal.

"He is awake," he thought.

In a flash, his right hand moved to the gun case. He then brought out the handgun and pointed it at the criminal’s head.

"Who are you?" Jeremy asked. While doing that, he covered the bullets with starlight energy.

The middle-aged man grinned before taking out the knife to attack.

Bang!

A silver bullet went through the middle-aged man’s head the next second. There was a small hole in his forehead.

His cold corpse then dropped on the floor. Jeremy put the handgun back in the case.

Jeremy thought that the middle-aged man must have committed a lot of crimes. He was not afraid at all. His first instinct was to take him out.

Jeremy shook his head. He then calmed his heart and decided to wait here and see if there was any backup coming.

He refused to believe that no one would come for him. They had planned the abduction. There must be some other members in the same group.

They might soon come looking for him. So he decided to spend time in the cabin. Anyway, he was doing the patrolling work alone.

So he didn’t have to report to anyone. In one way, he thought being a special patrolling officer worked out for him. He continued to wait.

Suddenly,

The digital device suddenly buzzed with an alarm. Hearing that, Jeremy took out the device. He saw the name on the device.

Seeing that, he attended the call. The next second, he heard the voice.

"Bob, where are you?"

"We have arrived here. Bring those women. We need to remove the organs for transplant as soon as possible," a deep male voice was heard from the device.

Hearing that, Jeremy was shocked. He had thought it was ransom. But he never expected it to be an organ trafficking crime.

He then ended the call abruptly. He didn’t want others to be wary of him. The next second, he put the device into the storage bracelet.

Then he covered the body of the criminal with dry grass.

Jeremy then exited the wooden cabin. He started walking toward the previous location. He suspected that people were in that sunken land.

When he went closer to that place, he saw a group of six people dressed in black uniforms. Their faces were covered.

He didn’t know what to do. It was not his job to end the criminal organization. It was the job of the city governors. But such a thing was happening under their nose.

Jeremy hid behind the tree and continued to watch their activities. The six people were standing in the sunken land and they were looking at each other’s faces.

They were all discussing the missing member.

"Where is he?"

"Why is he taking so much time?" one of them asked.

"He mentioned that he had tied up the women here. But no one was here," another member replied.

"He must have taken those people somewhere," the person who called earlier said.

"Why don’t you try calling him again?" a member asked.

Then the person who spoke earlier took out his device to call the missing member. But the call didn’t connect, which left him with frustration.

The other five members understood something was wrong.

At the same time, Jeremy Night continued to watch them. If he wanted, he could have barged into the place and tried to get answers from them.

But he had changed his mind earlier when he heard about the organ transplant. The crime organization seemed to be big.

He didn’t want to poke the hornet’s nest before knowing the full information.

As time passed, the six-member team grew frustrated. There were only a few hours left before the evening.

At one point, the black-clothed members left the place.

Jeremy didn’t leave. He continued to wait there. He still wanted to dispose of the body so that no doubts could arise.

A few minutes later,

He went to the log cabin. He dragged the corpse outside and buried it somewhere behind the giant trees.

Jeremy took out the device outside. He saw the missed calls. But he couldn’t open it unless he gave it to someone who could unlock it.

It was his first time here. He didn’t know anyone here. Suddenly, he thought of John. His eyes flashed with a gleam.

He didn’t know whether it was good to involve or not. But his curiosity filled his heart. He didn’t know the threats of illegal organ transplants existed in City A.

So he decided to uncover the truth first. He would then make the decision whether to intervene or not. He then put the device back into the storage bracelet.

Jeremy then left the dark forest. He reached back to the border area. After crossing the border, he came to the patrolling area.

He resumed his patrolling work. As time passed, he covered more and more ground. But he had not seen one patrolling team.

A few hours later,

When it was nighttime, he finished his job and returned to the human settlement. When he walked into the place,

He saw locals looking at him. Seeing that he had returned alone, they started discussing among themselves. They could guess what had happened.

But none of them came forward to speak. Jeremy didn’t want to make things difficult for others. He continued walking toward the main office.

Soon, he reached the main office. But when he got there, he saw that the office was locked. The in-charge was not here. He was surprised.

He decided to go back to the hotel room then.
