Emerging from the spatial dimension with Evan, Lu Heng and his group drove directly to the research center.
Along the way, Evan observed the road conditions and occasionally asked Lu Heng questions.
"This place is very different from Country Y. Why don't you have zombies here?"
"It's not that there are none. Some of the urban shelters we've established, the larger ones, are called bases. There are no zombies within the bases; they are all human survivors."
"Are the zombies outside? Is that because there aren't many zombies here?"
"You'll find out when you go out. The zombies here are several times more numerous than in Country Y."
"Then how did you people establish this base amidst so many zombie hordes?"
"Some bases were established earlier when the zombies were not yet very active. With some armed forces to suppress them, building on the original cities wasn't too difficult."
Evan stopped asking questions and began to ponder, looking at the humans passing by as the car drove.
Soon, they arrived at the research center within Wuming City.
Lu Heng waved to the guards at the research center's gate, and the gate was quickly opened. Lu Heng and Evan drove directly into the research center.
The car stopped directly in front of the house Lu Heng had brought back from Country Y. Lu Heng and Evan got out of the car.
"How did you move such a house here?"
Evan was unaware of the exact location of the spatial dimension where it had been trapped.
In just an instant, it was released from Lu Heng's space and found itself in a room. It had always assumed Lu Heng had used some kind of traversal method to bring it to another location, much like the teleportation device it had created.
"I have my own methods. I can bring any movable object to different places."
Lu Heng didn't mention that he had also placed the spaceship Evan had used to travel to Blue Star in the spatial dimension. He could retrieve it anytime he wished.
Seeing that Lu Heng didn't want to elaborate, Evan wisely didn't ask further.
It looked at Lu Heng and asked, "Can we go in?"
"Yes. Nothing has changed inside; it's all as you arranged it."
Upon hearing this, Evan controlled its onboard flight device, slowly ascended, and moved towards the house, leaving the ground. Fortunately, the ancient-style clothing served as a disguise, and passersby didn't notice. However, the way it flew was different from walking, and people still occasionally looked over.
"Isn't that City Lord Lu? Why is the person next to him so strange."
"Yes, the way he walks, it looks like he's floating."
"Is it some new ability? Will it be faster?"
"A speed-type ability? It doesn't look like it."
"As I said, maybe it's a new type..."
"I don't know, I've never seen it..."
Evan floated into the building, and Lu Heng followed.
"Have there been any people from other regions returning through the equipment here recently?"
It was rather strange, Lu Heng thought. Since bringing the house back, no humans had returned through the equipment. He had given the communicator that allowed entry into this place to Lin Yu, and people came to check it periodically.
"No. Could it be that the coordinates have changed, so no one is being teleported back?"
The only possibility Lu Heng could think of, besides people being unable to return due to zombies.
"No, the technology here is not like that of your planet. Teleportation doesn't rely on teleportation coordinates."
"Then why did Connor's team have to return to the location they transmitted from to be teleported back?"
"Who is Connor?"
Alas, the tragedy of minor figures; they were used and their names were not remembered even in death.
"The group you teleported to our country."
"Oh, the teleportation device I designed has a return location receiving equipment. After the teleported person is safely brought over, that equipment automatically detaches and remains in place. When returning, as long as they carry that equipment, they can be teleported back from anywhere."
"You didn't tell those people, did you?"
Lu Heng stated it as a certainty, otherwise, Connor's group wouldn't have insisted on returning near Luocheng to be teleported back.
"They were foolish themselves; why should I have told them."
Evan had provided a complete set of equipment to those people before. It was those people who didn't carefully observe the changes in the equipment. It felt that there was no need to explain everything so clearly.
Lu Heng raised an eyebrow and walked further in with Evan. "Where you attacked me before, was there a door?" That place couldn't have been a passage that directly led to a wall, but Lu Heng hadn't found any doors that could be opened there.
"Yes, but the key you have won't open it. Only I can open it by entering a password."
"What's inside?"
"Some equipment, equipment for researching machine brains, but it's missing some things."
"Can I see it?"
Lu Heng suspected it might be something like a supercomputer. Did it intend to build another more intelligent computer?
"Alright, but I hope you can provide some materials."
Evan had already analyzed Lu Heng's strength during the journey. Being able to build a safe residence and provide for so many humans to survive, he must have a lot of materials.
"Let's see what you need."
Lu Heng didn't dare to promise anything. Although they were in a cooperative relationship, he still needed to maintain some caution. Moreover, he didn't know if what Evan needed were materials from the Senal star. Although he could obtain them, he didn't want to provide too many resources to it for the time being.
Following Evan, they arrived at the place where they first met. It was still a metal wall. Evan extended its arm and placed it against a circular hole. Then, a thin line extended from its finger and probed into the hole. In a short while, the metal wall in front of them parted to the sides. It seemed this password was automatically entered by Evan's computer brain, something outsiders couldn't crack anytime soon.
Approaching the door, the equipment inside was all from Blue Star, combined with equipment from the Senal star. It seemed Evan was very proficient in using the equipment from both civilizations.
"What Blue Star equipment will you be using?"
"Computers, main computers. I found some computing devices that can be used as a substitute."
"Are you trying to build another computer?"
"Yes. The one controlling Kando is also a computer, and I need to replace the data within it. The main computer brains designed by the Senal people are meant to serve the Senal people; they will not be controlled by others."
Therefore, for Evan to build a world for robots there, the first step was to replace the host's main brain system.
