Chapter 125: Laguna Seca
Liam woke up late the next morning, sunlight already spilling through the tall windows of his bedroom.
After everything that had happened yesterday — especially the party — he decided to let himself sleep in. His body wasn’t tired, but his mind needed the pause.
He sat up slowly, exhaling. His gaze drifted to the window, where the curtains swayed lightly in the morning breeze. The sky outside was clear and bright, the kind of blue that seemed endless.
"What a beautiful day," Liam muttered, a small smile tugging at his lips.
He stayed that way for a while, simply appreciating the calm. Even after weeks of living in Bellemere Mansion, the view, the sunlight, and the quiet comfort of mornings like this still felt surreal.
The first thing he usually did each day was sign-in immediately. It had become routine — wake up, sign-in, receive rewards. But today, he decided to take things slow. He wasn’t in a rush. He would sign-in, of course, but not just yet.
Instead, his thoughts wandered to how he wanted to spend the day.
Track racing. The idea had been bouncing around in his head since last night. Renting out a circuit, pushing cars to their limits, feeling raw speed under his control. It was tempting.
But another thought surfaced: training his power.
He could use the day to sharpen his telekinesis. Maybe fly out to somewhere desolate like Greenland or Siberia. He could push himself without holding back, maybe even attempt the impossible — true flight with the ability. He doubted he could achieve it in one day, but even small progress would matter.
Liam couldn’t help but smile at the thought. The truth was, he wanted that. He wanted to push his limits, test himself, see what he was capable of.
But... it clashed with his plan for structured self-improvement. He has to keep it balanced between training and living, between progress and experience.
He sighed, leaning back into the pillows for a moment before sitting upright again. "Racing it is," he said under his breath, decision made.
He picked up his Gear Glass from the nightstand and slid it on, and Lucy’s voice greeted him immediately.
"Good morning, sir."
"Good morning, Lucy. Please reserve Laguna Seca for me. I want it ready before I get there in the next two hours. And line up the fastest cars you can get your hands on."
"Understood. I’ll make the arrangements right away."
Liam nodded, satisfied. He removed the device and set it aside before picking up his phone. A few taps later, he had Captain Harris on the line.
"Good morning, Harris. I’ll need you to pick me up and transport me to Laguna Seca in two hours," Liam said.
"Yes, sir," Harris replied without hesitation. "I’ll be waiting at the helipad of Granworth Executive Tower."
"Good. See you then." Liam ended the call politely and dropped the phone onto the nightstand.
He stood up, stretching slightly, and headed to the bathroom.
He didn’t need to worry about Lucy not being able to book the track or the get the cars, as those were things that were too easy for her.

A few minutes later, Liam stepped out of the bathroom, drying himself up and dressing up quickly, pulling on fresh clothes, then made his way downstairs.
As he entered the dining room, Evelyn and the girls greeted him with their usual warmth. He returned it with a polite, genuine smile. "Good morning."
He took his seat as always at the head of the table. Before he began eating, he glanced at Evelyn. "Please let Mason know I’ll need the car ready soon."
"Of course, sir," Evelyn said with a small bow before stepping away to relay the order.
Liam picked up his utensils and began eating at a steady pace. When he finished, he thanked the girls, who beamed at the acknowledgment. Then he rose and returned upstairs.
Walking into his room, he locked the door as always, before teleporting himself to Great Yan Empire. He appeared in the VIP suite once again and he sat on the bed, before saying the words.
"System, sign-in."
[Ding!]
[Congratulations, host. You received 10,000 Gold Coins]
[You received 50 Low Grade Spirit Stones]

Liam smiled slightly. Though he had been expecting more but there were just two of them. But he was happy with the regards.
They weren’t the most extravagant rewards, but they were not bad either. Ten thousand gold coins meant his wealth in this world had grown even further. The fifty low-grade spirit stones added to his resources, marking him as wealthier than the ordinary people here.
The truth was that the type of rewards Liam was after were things like talents, physiques and bloodlines. Those were what he wanted, as they were things that would change everything.
He can get other things like herbs, pills, talisman, treasure level fruits and the rest from the store. This was the same for the things he wants but they are outrageously expensive.
Even the cheapest talent, physique and bloodline in the store cost start from 10m system points — the equivalent of a hundred billion dollars, or one trillion gold coins, or a hundred billion of low grade spirit stones. These were numbers that are so absurd they felt untouchable.
This was completely different from when he was saving up to buy the molecular assembler. They weren’t things he can save up to buy. These were prizes beyond his current reach.
But Liam wasn’t disheartened. Not truly. He believed — no, he knew — the system would eventually give them to him. He felt that the system was taking things slow and just like back on Earth, everything will change after his first weekly sign-in
Satisfied with that thought, he exhaled and dismissed the lingering doubts.
"Back," he muttered, and in an instant, he was once again in his bedroom at Bellemere Mansion, and then made his way downstairs.
Mason and Nick were already waiting at the entrance, sharp in their uniforms. The Ghost Black Badge sat gleaming outside, sunlight flashing across its polished surface.
Mason opened the door smoothly. "Good morning, sir. The car is ready."
"Good morning, Mason," Liam said, as he stepped inside the car, sliding into the plush leather seat.
"Destination, sir?" Nick glanced back from the driver’s seat.
"Granworth Executive Tower," Liam replied calmly.
Nick nodded, starting the engine. The Rolls Royce purred to life, gliding down the driveway and through the tall wrought-iron gates.
