Chapter 236: The Dust Valley Sect Arrival.
"Wow! The imperial capital is a lot different than I imagined." Peng Zhao whispered.
The Dust Valley sect had arrived at the Imperial Capital for the Assembly Summit.
They settled inside a ten-story hotel.
Since their arrival, the disciples couldn’t help but look around. They would have left the hotel to roam the street to check out everything if not for the strict command from the sect master.
Still, that didn’t stop the disciples from sitting in twos and threes in the lobby to talk about the imperial capital.
Everything about them emanated that they were country bumpkins.
"I barely saw ordinary people on the street. The weakest were at the Peak of Mortal Rank." Another disciple said, her voice filled with awe.
On the third floor, Zou Mei stood by the window and looked down at the bustling street.
Her face was filled with shock and yearning. She thought she was a one-in-a-generation talent but looking at the crowd.
She realized she was nothing special.
Although she had improved greatly in the past month, she couldn’t help but feel a heavy pressure.
This was unlike anything they had ever seen.
In the other room, Jing Wang was also looking at the people and sighed heavily.
Under the sect’s nurturing, her cultivation had broken through to Stage 5 Foundation realm. She would have been satisfied with her current strength but now.
She felt it was not enough.
Unknown to her, she was not the only one feeling the immense pressure. All the core disciples were under heavy pressure.
Against the descendants of powerful clans and those from the powerful sects, their strength was nothing.
On the fourth floor, the elders sat with a pensive expression.
"Can we even compete against those monsters?" An elder asked with a trembling voice.
Elder Duang Jie shook her head. "We don’t have to worry about that. Let’s just wait for the sect master."
The elders nodded as that was the only thing they could do right now. Worrying wouldn’t solve anything.
On another floor, the sect master and his wife were looking at Elder Bai and Supreme Elder Zhao.
"Where is my son?" The sect master’s wife asked, staring at Elder Zhao.
"Madam, nothing will happen to the young master. The young master will be here shortly." Elder Zhao responded.
With the Spirit Link, she knew her son was alright. But as a mother, she would not relax until she set her eyes on her son.
"I can see the disciples have improved a lot." Elder Bai said, changing the topic.
"Indeed but compared to those from other regions. We’re still far behind." The sect master responded, shaking his head.
"We don’t need to compare with them. We just have to do what we do best." Elder Zhao shook his head and relaxed, sipping from his spirit tea.
Watching both Elder Bai and Supreme Elder Zhao’s relaxed attitude, the sect master and his wife exchanged subtle glances.
Was there something they were not aware of?
The central region and the imperial capital were unlike any other region on the continent.
Liu Zexian, the sect master’s wife, knew this better than anyone else. She was from the imperial capital and knew how deep the inheritance of those clans was.
Although her son had changed the fate of the Western Region and the Dust Valley, the time was too short for them to bridge the gap.
Since those closest to their son were relaxed, they had no choice but to relax. Just then, the door was pushed open and Elder Lou Zhen rushed in.
"Elder Bai!" He shouted excitedly, holding a red stone in his palm. He was too excited to notice those in the room.
"Why are you shouting? Don’t you see the sect master and the supreme elder?" Elder Bai berated with a light smile playing on his lips.
Hmm?!
Listening to Elder Bai, it was then Elder Luo Zhen raised his head and saw everyone staring at him.
He froze for a moment before he smiled in embarrassment. "Sect Master, I did not know you were inside the room."
"Don’t worry about it. Why are you excited?" The Sect Master asked curiously.
Without letting the sect master complete his statement, Elder Luo Zhen began to speak about the effect of the red stone.
"So this is an elemental stone that could boost weapon power." The Sect Master said with a look of realization.
"Yes, Sect Master." Elder Luo Zhen responded happily. "With this, I don’t need to use spirit stones any longer."
Spirit stones were just substitutes for the real stone and now, he had found one of them.
"How powerful will the weapon be if you use this fire elemental stone?" The Sect Master’s wife asked curiously.
"Double the attack of the spirit stones...." Elder Luo Zhen paused before he added. "For those cultivating fire elements, they will be more powerful. At least triple."
Huh!
Everyone inside the room sucked in a cold breath. Such power. Holding such a weapon would make anyone a killing machine.
Suddenly, Elder Bai’s Spirit Link vibrated. His expression changed and he quickly took out his Spirit Link.
Checking the message, a bright smile crept up his face.
"The young master is coming." He announced.
"Really?!" The Sect Master’s wife asked, her face filled with anticipation and excitement.
She was going to see her son.
The sect master also smiled. He couldn’t wait to see that rascal.
"Let’s welcome the young master." Supreme Elder Zhao said, rising to his feet.
Elder Bai nodded and followed, not waiting for the sect master and his wife. Only two of them knew how important Mo Jian’s meeting was.
At the entrance of the hotel, a seemingly ordinary carriage arrived without raising an air.
Three people came out of the carriage. They had ordinary faces with weak cultivation.
A young man led the group and entered the hotel. Inside the lobby, the disciples were chatting among themselves when they noticed the new arrival.
Watching, they realized they did not know any of them. Just then, the two attendants seated behind the counter stood and said.
"Welcome, young master."
