Chapter 20 The Carriage

Although Huangfu Yue did not see the shocked expressions on everyone's faces, she could guess how shocked they would be by her sudden disappearance. However, she didn't care at all and wasn't worried.

After all, everyone already believed she had magical powers and treasures, so they would accept her vanishing into thin air after an initial shock.

Upon entering the space, Huangfu Yue hurried to the hat section of the supermarket, looking for suitable hats for children. Soon, she found more than ten straw hats with white veils hanging down.

She also saw a pile of large straw hats with black veils next to the small ones and immediately thought that the large ones could be taken out for the men to wear.

As she thought this, she reached out and took the small straw hats, also taking the large ones along.

Huangfu Yue did not linger in the supermarket. After taking the hats, she immediately left the supermarket and exited the space.

Seeing Huangfu Yue suddenly disappear and then reappear, the people who had just recovered from their shock were startled again. However, they were not as shocked as when she had vanished.

"Sisters-in-law, I found some small straw hats in the Qiankun bag that are suitable for children to wear. Please put them on the children." Huangfu Yue handed the small straw hats to her sisters-in-law and then distributed the large straw hats to the men.

"To be safe, you men should also wear straw hats... Master Feng, please ask your brothers to wear straw hats as well."

The men from the Dai Prince's mansion and the constables like Feng Maoyuan nodded and stepped forward to receive the straw hats.

After everyone had put on their straw hats, Huangfu Yue glanced at the carriage Feng Maoyuan had been sitting in and suddenly remembered something.

"Master Feng, I want to discuss something with you. Can you let me have the carriage you were sitting in? I want my grandmother, my sister-in-law, and my nephews and nieces to ride in it." Huangfu Yue looked at Feng Maoyuan.

She suddenly remembered that she could ask Feng Maoyuan for the carriage to let her grandmother, her fourth sister-in-law, and the little ones ride in it.

Her grandmother was too old to walk long distances.

Her fourth sister-in-law was even more so, being pregnant, and could not walk long distances.

Although the little ones needed to exercise, there were many ways to exercise besides walking long distances, so they could also ride in the carriage. Perhaps it was because she always liked children that she was more sympathetic and caring towards them.

"Princess, even if you hadn't said anything, I was just about to let the elderly, weak, women, and children of your esteemed household sit in the carriage," Feng Maoyuan said quickly, his face full of respect and a hint of fawning in his eyes. "It's just that there's a lot of food and quilts in my carriage. Please put them into your Qiankun bag, otherwise, it won't be enough for your esteemed ladies to sit."

Even if the princess hadn't mentioned it, he was genuinely preparing to let the nobles of the prince's mansion ride in the carriage.

Actually, he didn't want to walk; he still wanted to ride in the carriage. However, he and his subordinates were now "servants" of the Dai Prince's mansion. How could servants ride in a carriage while their masters walked? Even if the people from the prince's mansion said nothing, he himself would feel embarrassed.

"Thank you." Huangfu Yue nodded, thanked Feng Maoyuan, and then walked towards the carriage.

Princess Consort Zheng, her granddaughters-in-law, and her great-grandchildren were all quite happy to hear that they would be riding in a carriage. Except for Princess Consort Zheng, everyone else was beaming, thinking how wonderful it was that they didn't have to walk.

Huangfu Yue got into the carriage and looked closely at the interior. She found that there were seven quilts in the carriage, which matched the number of escorting constables, clearly one quilt per person.

There were five large bags of food. Huangfu Yue opened them one by one; they were all dry rations, with one bag containing several packs of dried meat. Next to the dry rations were three large wine skins.

Huangfu Yue put the quilts, dry rations, and wine into the space. Then, she entered the space and went to the supermarket to bring out two miniature sofas.

There were no chairs in the carriage, so it was inconvenient for her grandmother to sit. She remembered seeing several sets of sofas when she was shopping at the supermarket earlier, including two miniature sofas that could be placed in the carriage for her grandmother and the others to sit on.

Huangfu Yue placed the sofas in the carriage and found that they just barely fit. A narrow aisle between the two sofas could even accommodate a very small low table.

Huangfu Yue immediately entered the space, went to the supermarket, and found a small low table suitable for placing in the carriage. She then placed water and some food on the low table, so that Princess Consort Zheng and the others could drink water and eat food themselves when they got thirsty or hungry.

Huangfu Yue looked around the carriage again and, satisfied that nothing was missing, left and got off the carriage.

"I've tidied up and furnished the carriage. Grandmother, Fourth Sister-in-law, and Xuan'er, Jing'er, Ying'er, and Ling'er, please get in."
