"Awooo, awooo..."
As Liu Nanfeng and Zhu Yin'e stood up, they heard the little carp's yelps again.
"Awoo, awoo..."
The two looked bewildered, unsure what the little creature was doing.
They hurried forward and saw a small fish wriggling on the bed.
The little fish resembled a blue whale a bit, and a pufferfish a bit. It was chubby and round, like a ball. Its two short fins flapped, looking incredibly amusing.
Seeing them approach, it immediately tried to swim forward, then rolled over on the bed.
Liu Nanfeng was stunned.
The little carp was stunned too.
Zhu Yin'e couldn't help but burst into laughter.
She could tell that although the little carp looked hilarious now, its physical body was infinitely stronger than before.
Just then, the little carp bounced on the bed like a balloon. A flash of light, and it transformed into a plump roc, landing on the bed.
It hurriedly flapped its small wings, flew up a short distance, and then plopped back onto the bed.
"Hahaha..." Zhu Yin'e couldn't hold back her laughter. She couldn't remember the last time she had laughed so heartily.
Liu Nanfeng also chuckled, unable to suppress his amusement.
The little carp, puffed up, rolled over on the bed and finally transformed into human form.
She looked unchanged, except for a blue rune between her eyebrows. It didn't mar her appearance; rather, it added a touch of refinement, like an ornament.
She was currently pouting, looking angrily at Liu Nanfeng.
"Big brother is a liar," the little carp said indignantly.
"How am I a liar?" Liu Nanfeng asked, confused.
"You said the Kun Peng was so big, so powerful..." the little carp spread her arms, trying to demonstrate.
"But I didn't get bigger, and I didn't get stronger."
It turned out her yelps were her trying to see if she had become stronger. But clearly, her cries didn't scare anyone; rather, they might have amused anyone who heard them.
"Becoming bigger and stronger takes time, little one. You're still young, you'll grow," Liu Nanfeng reached out to pat her head.
The little carp shook her head vigorously, refusing to let him touch her. She felt he was lying.
She turned her gaze to Zhu Yin'e. "Brother Liu is right. We must take it step by step. Nothing can be achieved overnight."
Hearing this, the little carp sighed deeply. She had thought she would become incredibly powerful instantly.
"How do you feel? Are you uncomfortable anywhere?" Zhu Yin'e asked again.
"Mom, I'm hungry," the little carp said pitifully.
"Then Mom will make you something delicious."
As Zhu Yin'e spoke, she picked her up from the bed and carefully examined her physical condition.
The more she examined, the more surprised she became. As her daughter, no one knew the little carp's physical state better than she did.
If the little carp's previous physical potential could be described as a small pond, then her current potential was like a vast ocean, seemingly boundless. Even Zhu Yin'e couldn't fully fathom it, only that her future held infinite possibilities for growth.
"Mom, my tummy is so empty," the little carp patted her small belly pitifully.
"Alright, I'll have Yu Chan prepare something for you. Eat some snacks to fill your stomach first."
Saying this, she walked to a nearby cabinet and took out a fruit box containing dried fruits and preserved fruits.
The little carp eagerly grabbed a piece of dried fruit and stuffed it into her mouth. Without chewing, she swallowed it whole.
"Are you that hungry?" Zhu Yin'e was somewhat surprised.
The little carp also found it strange but didn't pay it much mind, reaching for the fruit box again.
The dried fruits and preserved fruits in the box disappeared at a visible rate.
"After activating the Kun Peng bloodline, her appetite has greatly increased. She needs to replenish her energy substantially," Liu Nanfeng said to comfort Zhu Yin'e, who looked worried.
Zhu Yin'e nodded and then called for Zhu Yu Chan to prepare food.
What followed was almost the little carp's solo performance. Countless pastries and fish entered her stomach.
Even the little carp herself was a little panicked. Why had she become such a big eater? Was she sick?
"Don't you like it? You'll get used to it. Didn't you say you wanted a bigger belly?" Liu Nanfeng said with a smile.
The little carp thought about it and realized he was right. Before, her stomach was too small, and she couldn't eat many delicious things, which made her sad. Now, she could eat a lot.
However, seeing the little carp's appetite, Liu Nanfeng was also quite surprised. It was almost comparable to his own body-strengthening abilities.
After comparing it with his own body-strengthening information, Liu Nanfeng discovered that after activating the Kun Peng bloodline, the little carp's body contained very similar informational segments. This gave him something to ponder.
"Then will you take me to eat delicious food tomorrow?" the little carp asked expectantly.
"Little Fish," Zhu Yin'e called out sternly, feeling she was being impolite by asking for food.
"It's alright," Liu Nanfeng quickly said.
Then he said to the little carp, "Okay, I'll pick you up tomorrow. I'll take you to the Food City. But not too early; it won't be open. In the afternoon, I'll pick you up, and we'll have a big meal."
"Food City?" The little carp had never heard this term before.
"Yes, Food City. It's full of places selling food, all sorts of delicious food."
"Okay, okay..." Before Liu Nanfeng could finish speaking, the little carp nodded eagerly.
"Since everything is fine, I'll take my leave now," Liu Nanfeng said to Zhu Yin'e after making arrangements with the little carp.
"You're leaving?" the little carp asked, disappointed.
"Yes, I have some things to attend to back there." Liu Nanfeng replied.
"Alright then." The little carp actually wanted Liu Nanfeng to stay and keep her company for a while longer.
"Familiarize yourself with your changes and adapt as quickly as possible," Liu Nanfeng instructed.
This remark was for the little carp, but also for Zhu Yin'e.
"Yu Chan, go get the property deed for Peach Blossom Garden, and also a jar of 'Roll Over the Heavens'," Zhu Yin'e said to Zhu Yu Chan nearby.
Zhu Yu Chan was surprised when Zhu Yin'e asked her to retrieve the property deed for Peach Blossom Garden, but she turned and went.
Soon, Zhu Yu Chan returned with the items. To Liu Nanfeng's surprise, Zhu Yin'e not only had the property deed but also the land deed. In addition, there was a very old paper contract and a set of keys.
Zhu Yin'e handed them to Liu Nanfeng along with some tea. Liu Nanfeng accepted them without refusal.
"If you wish to transfer ownership, take the materials to Section Nine, and they will assist you," Zhu Yin'e said.
Liu Nanfeng realized with a start that Section Nine had helped with all of this.
"There's no need to transfer ownership. I'll go take a look and sort things out first. When the peach blossoms bloom, bring Little Fish to visit," Liu Nanfeng said with a smile.
Zhu Yin'e nodded gently.
Liu Nanfeng turned towards the door. Zhu Yin'e, holding the little carp's hand, followed him and saw him off at the entrance.
"Do you want Yu Chan to escort you up?" Zhu Yin'e asked.
"No, I can manage myself," Liu Nanfeng replied with a smile.
He then waved to the little carp, "Little Fish, see you tomorrow."
"See you tomorrow."
Liu Nanfeng walked to the water curtain, took out the short sword Zhu Yin'e had given him, and swung it down at the river water. The surging river parted in two, revealing a broad path.
Because Su Jinxiu had entered "Gazing at Mountains and Seas," Liu Nanfeng could borrow her strength, causing his power to surge, enabling him to cleave the water with such ease.
As Liu Nanfeng stepped forward, he glanced back.
He saw Zhu Yin'e standing outside the water mansion, holding the little carp, watching him leave.
Seeing him look back, Zhu Yin'e gave a warm smile and gently raised her arm to wave.
Liu Nanfeng returned her smile and turned, striding away.
"Isn't 'Little Fish' a bit inappropriate for the little carp now?"
At that moment, for some reason, this utterly nonsensical thought popped into his head.
