The Trickster King

Chapter 6 Minor E-sports Friction

Chapter 2 The Game Continues

The second round began, and the outcome completely reversed. Xiao Xun couldn't stop wiping the sweat from his hands on his clothes.

Xiao Xun swallowed. "Too fast. Either they're cheating, or they've found a master. This kind of reaction and awareness is completely beyond the level of that person just now."

The young man immediately shouted into the game voice mic, "Can't handle it? Cheating already! You're really disgracing your team."

The other party admitted generously, "You're not convinced? You started it first. If you're not convinced, let's settle it offline. Do you dare?"

The young man excitedly grabbed Xiao Xun's arm. "Brother, are we going to play?"

Xiao Xun grimaced from the pain and flinched away. The young man sheepishly scratched his head. "Sorry! I was too excited and forgot."

Xiao Xun said with difficulty, "If it's online, I can help you control the mouse. But offline, if others see it, they'll know."

The young man thought for a moment and said into the microphone, "How about this? Come to Jin Hulu Internet Cafe in the East District. I'll wait for you here. To make sure you're convinced, I'll let you bring a master to play for you. How about that?"

"Jin Hulu, right? Just you wait, your dad will be there immediately. If you dare to stand me up, I'll beat you into a bloody gourd, and you'll never be able to play games again." After that, he went offline.

Upon hearing this, Xiao Xun stood up directly. "Aren't you a bit too reckless? I haven't agreed to help you play offline yet. Besides, you insulted him so badly, and you told him where you are. Aren't you afraid he'll beat you to death?"

The young man waved his hand indifferently. "Beat me? This is a society ruled by law. If he dares to touch me, I'll make him beg me not to die."

The internet cafe manager was drinking a bottle of mineral water and spurted some onto Xiao Xun's back when he heard this.

Then he quickly tightened the cap and wiped Xiao Xun. "Sorry, brother! I really couldn't hold back. This guy is too funny when he talks."

Xiao Xun looked at the mineral water in the manager's hand and then said to the young man, "I can help you play offline, but you need to buy me a bottle of water first!"

The young man patted Xiao Xun's shoulder. "Brother, drinking water is boring. No matter if you win or lose later, I'll treat you to barbecue and beer. How about it?"

"Forget the barbecue and beer. I'm just thirsty now and want to drink water."

It wasn't that he didn't want to eat barbecue and drink beer; he was afraid the young man would trick him. After the match, whether he won or lost, the young man would run off, and he would get nothing.

When the young man heard this, he directly ordered two cups of iced milk tea from the internet cafe's online store, and the money was deducted from the internet fee.

When the manager heard the call from the checkout system, he quickly turned back to prepare them.

As soon as the two milk teas were ready, a group of people walked into the internet cafe. The leader had dyed yellow hair, looking very much like the "Shamatte" style popular a few years ago. The people behind him also had various hairstyles and a riot of colors.

As they entered, they looked around. It was obvious that the young man's "father-son match" rival had brought people over, and they were a bunch of hair salon guys.

After entering, they started looking left and right. There weren't many people in the entire internet cafe, so they quickly locked onto their target, but they couldn't confirm it yet. What if the other party was bluffing them and had reported their location?

The manager, holding two cups of milk tea, looked at the menacing group. "Need to use the internet?"

The yellow-haired guy ignored him and shouted, "Who is 'Lonely Pointing with the Right Hand'?"

The young man turned and saw, "Oh! You're here fast! That's me."

The yellow-haired guy pointed at the young man and said to the manager, "Go open the machine opposite him."

The manager put the milk tea on the counter first, then went inside and said to the yellow-haired guy, "ID, four yuan per hour, minimum two hours."

The yellow-haired guy took out his ID and five yuan and put them on the counter. "Just five yuan, it won't even take an hour. I'll 'eliminate' someone and leave."

Xiao Xun's throat was parched. He got up and went to the counter to get the milk tea, drinking more than half of it in one gulp. "Refreshing! It would be even more refreshing if it were iced cola."

The manager smiled. "Brother, if you win, I'll treat you to stay overnight and a large bucket of iced cola. How about it?"

Xiao Xun licked his lips, a smile on his face. "It's a deal."

He picked up the milk tea and returned to his seat, then looked at the two "spirited youths" standing behind the young man.

The young man casually peeked out from behind the monitor and said to the yellow-haired guy, "Are you going to fight yourself, or did you bring help?"

The yellow-haired guy gave the young man a middle finger and said, "We still have one more match. As long as you don't cheat, you can find whoever you want."

Because the yellow-haired guy had observed when he first arrived, there were very few people in the internet cafe, and he was the only one playing this game. The "half-crippled" person sitting next to him indicated that he must have been cheating just now; otherwise, he wouldn't have lost the first round, nor would he have been so powerful in the second round.

Having confirmed this, he thought he could righteously regain his honor in public.

Seeing that the yellow-haired guy had no objections, the young man said, "How about this? It's bullying you to use both hands, so I'll let you use one hand. My brother will control the mouse. Remember the bet if you lose." Then he started creating a room in the game.

The yellow-haired guy frowned when he heard this. He thought: the other party is so confident, could the person with the injured arm be a master?

While he was still wondering, the manager came up behind the yellow-haired guy. He was actually there to prevent Xiao Xun from being at a disadvantage and to guard against the yellow-haired guy cheating.

The yellow-haired guy turned and looked at the manager. "Why are you always standing behind me?"

The manager placed his hand on the back of the other's chair and said expressionlessly, "Nothing, just watching how a 'master' bullies a novice. Learning from them."

This statement blocked the yellow-haired guy, and he couldn't say anything more. He just exchanged a glance with his friends opposite him, indicating that they had a plan before they came.

One of them, a tall guy with a perm and a streak of blue hair in the front, nodded without saying anything.

They officially entered the game. The young man was drinking milk tea with his right hand while controlling his character's movement with his left.

Without the cheat's assistance, the yellow-haired guy quickly lost more than half of his kills.

He started to panic. Seeing the manager's half-smiling expression behind him, he became furious. "Can you stop putting your hand on my chair back? It's affecting my feel, it's annoying."

The young man heard this and burst out laughing. "You can't beat others, so you take it out on someone else. This is as far as you'll ever get."

This made the yellow-haired guy blush. "What's it to you? Keep playing, this match isn't over yet."

As the two were preparing to continue, the tall guy suddenly lunged forward, grabbing Xiao Xun's left arm with one hand and turning off the host with the other.

"Ah!"

Xiao Xun screamed heart-wrenchingly from the pain. He used the hand that held the mouse to quickly push the tall guy away.

"Oh! So sorry, my foot slipped."

The young man turned directly and grabbed the tall guy, who was more than a head taller than him, by the collar. "You did that on purpose, didn't you?"

Seeing that the other party had made the first move, the tall guy shoved the young man hard. "I already said, my foot slipped. Aren't you convinced!"

The people with the yellow-haired guy immediately surrounded the two. The yellow-haired guy sat cross-legged, watching everything with schadenfreude.

The young man looked at the scowling people around him. "I knew you 'scum' wouldn't be able to take it."
