Chapter 1009: Chapter 1009: Sky Net without a Leader
And on the other end...
After Sikureijeman reunited with Iron Wolf, he inquired about the situation at the Demon Shield Bureau headquarters. Iron Wolf sighed and said, "At the headquarters, except for the commander who escaped, all others were slain by the Evil God."
Upon hearing this, Sikureijeman wasn’t angered; instead, he exclaimed excitedly, "What did you say? The commander isn’t dead?"
Iron Wolf nodded and then shook his head, saying, "Although the commander isn’t dead, we currently have no idea of his whereabouts. He escaped through a secret passage in the conference room, and after that, we have been unable to contact him or access that secret passage."
Sikureijeman laughed heartily, saying, "That’s normal. The commander is very cautious and would never appear unless he is certain that there is no danger once he’s out."
"Another possibility is that the commander used tools from the secret passage to leave the North Pole and travel elsewhere. But all our technological devices here are affected by Kun Gu Ni’er and cannot be used, making it impossible for him to contact us."
Iron Wolf said, "In any case, this is good news."
"Yes." Sikureijeman nodded and his eyes flashed with a chilling gleam as he chuckled, "Since the situation at headquarters has been clarified, we don’t need to rush back."
"What are you planning?" Iron Wolf asked doubtingly upon seeing Sikureijeman’s look of eager anticipation and war spirit.
"Humph!"
Sikureijeman let out a heavy snort and said, "I believe you can also see that the Evil God killed Black Ji, and the Red Giant is leading the army to chase after him. These two are sure to engage in a fierce battle."
"During this time, the Sky Net Camp is without Xiao Zheng, practically leaderless! If we seize this opportunity and attack the Sky Net Camp, we can surely annihilate the entire Sky Net army!"
"Without subordinates, no matter how powerful the Evil God is, what can he do? The final outcome will be a crushing defeat!"
Iron Wolf glanced deeply at Sikureijeman, saying, "You are truly ruthless; you even make me fearful."
Now, with the leadership of the Demon Shield Bureau headquarters nearly wiped out by Xiao Zheng, Sikureijeman chooses not to stabilize the headquarters but rather leads an army to attack Sky Net, completely disregarding the chaos at headquarters.
"Hahaha."
Sikureijeman laughed heartily and said, "There’s nothing major at headquarters. As long as the commander exists, even if you or I die, the Demon Shield Bureau will not perish!"
"Since this is the case, why waste effort on futile tasks? The primary focus now is to eliminate the Evil God’s forces completely!"
Iron Wolf pondered for a while, then said, "Alright, I support you. I’ll leave all the troops I lead to you, and I’ll return to assemble the remaining forces from headquarters."
"You must be quick!" Sikureijeman stared at Iron Wolf and said solemnly, "You must realize that the battle between the Evil God and the Red Giant likely won’t last long. If we delay too much, we’ll miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!"
"Don’t worry." Iron Wolf said confidently.
After speaking, Iron Wolf departed from the large ship, boarding a speedboat and swiftly heading towards the headquarters on the North Pole Continent to mobilize the troops.
Sikureijeman shouted to everyone, "Increase the ship’s speed to its peak and head towards the Sky Net Camp as fast as possible!"
The bio-warriors on board the ship started bustling as soon as they received the order, and this fleet swiftly sailed as if with wings.
Not long after, Sikureijeman’s vision was filled; they had arrived at full speed!
At this moment, the southern side of the island was filled with the sound of battle cries, indicating the ongoing battle between Sky Net and Demon Shield Bureau. However, the cries were weaker than at the battle’s onset since both sides had suffered massive losses and there were fewer combatants.
Sikureijeman immediately ordered the fleet to join forces with Steel Man.
Upon learning of the reinforcements’ arrival, Steel Man was overjoyed and quickly boarded the large ship of Sikureijeman.
"How is the situation now?" Sikureijeman, straight to the point, asked Steel Man.
Steel Man displayed a grave expression and said, "We currently have a numerical advantage, but the martial arts warriors from Sky Net are individually too strong! So both sides are evenly matched and in a deadlock."
"Moreover..." Steel Man’s face showed concern, "Sky Net holds a large camp, giving them a geographical advantage. We can only rely on the supplies from our ships, and gradually we are starting to lose ground."
Sikureijeman, upon hearing this, said nothing more but moved to the deck to observe the distant battlefield.
He saw distant battleships crashing into each other, with bio-warriors from Demon Shield Bureau and martial arts warriors engaging in close combat and melee battles on the ships, with cries echoing, and the ferocity widespread.
The sea surface was littered with corpses—some were Demon Shield Bureau bio-warriors, others were Sky Net martial arts warriors, and the entire sea had turned a faint red, evidently stained by the blood flowing from the bodies!
Moreover, the sea was filled with numerous sharks attracted by the thick scent of blood here. They floated and dove in the sea, frenziedly tearing at the bodies.
Once a bio-warrior or martial arts warrior fell into the sea, a swarm of sharks, eyes bloodshot, would immediately rush up and bite with their gaping mouths, their uneven sharp teeth glinting in the sunlight.
A gruesome, terrifying battlefield!
The Sky Net camp was a scene of solemnity and menace.
Merely observing from afar, one could feel the intense fighting spirit within.
"Temporarily hold them off." Sikureijeman watched for a while and then said to Steel Man, "Our true reinforcements are about to arrive."
Speaking of this, a cruel gleam flashed in Sikureijeman’s eyes, "Once the Demon Shield Bureau army truly arrives, I plan to flatten this Sky Net camp and slaughter everyone it contains."
