Chapter 457 - 412: Saving A Xiu

Chapter 457: Chapter 412: Saving A Xiu

In the great hall, all the Buddha Bodhisattvas suddenly realized, it turned out the Buddha had long known Jin Naluo harbored Demon Thoughts, which is why he was expelled from Buddhism.

All the Buddha Bodhisattvas, with hands clasped together in a salute, reverently said: "The Buddha is merciful!"

...

Within the Chaos Pure Land World, Jieyin and Zhunti also looked at each other, lost for words.

Jieyin slowly said: "Duo Bao has gone too far, for Jin Naluo to succumb to the Devil Buddha is a misfortune for Buddhism."

Zhunti fell silent for a moment, then with a shake of his head and a smile said: "Senior Brother, Duo Bao’s actions are correct.

Jin Naluo is the most suitable person to sever the fate of Mahayana Buddhism; only by sacrificing Jin Naluo, can he quickly integrate Mahayana Buddhism and thoroughly unify Buddhism."

He said joyfully: "Such determination is becoming of the leader of Buddhism."

Jieyin reminded: "Junior brother, Duo Bao was sent by Senior Brother Taishang."

"The great Dao contends fiercely, not yielding an inch. Senior Brother, Duo Bao will make the right choice."

Jieyin expressed his concern: "Junior brother, Jin Naluo’s fall into devilry is likely a calamity for Buddhism."

Zhunti reassured: "Senior Brother, do not think too much, now is the time for the great prospering of Buddhism; it is the trend of the Heavenly Dao that Buddhism shall rise."

Subsequently, for a period of time, Lesser Mahayana Buddhism entered Yun Brahman, spreading Lesser Mahayana teachings, the last preaching ground of Mahayana Buddhism changed hands, and Mahayana Buddhism thus moved towards its demise.

...

Elsewhere, Bai Jin holding a dagger, entered the Underworld, heading towards Pingxin Palace at a brisk pace, shouting loudly: "Buddha Mother, Buddha Mother save me!"

Pingxin Buddha Mother’s figure appeared in a small garden, elegantly sitting in a pavilion, smiling towards the round archway.

Bai Jin ran through the archway, hastened to the pavilion, made a bow, and said: "Buddha Mother, your disciple has come to greet you."

Pingxin Buddha Mother’s lips curled into a smirk, "Just now you were crying out for help, now it’s turned into greeting? You sure change quickly."

"Greeting Buddha Mother is more important."

"Whose life must I save?"

Bai Jin raised the dagger in hand and said: "Buddha Mother, a woman was killed by this dagger, her soul unable to escape, it must have been absorbed into the dagger, please lend your hand to save her."

Pingxin Buddha Mother reached out, the dagger flew out of Bai Jin’s hand, towards Pingxin, and landed in her hand.

Pingxin Buddha Mother examined the dagger, "Asura Blood Dagger, a dagger forged from the bones of the Asura Clan, whomever is killed by this dagger, their soul shall be devoured by it, until it merges completely with the dagger."

Bai Jin looked to Pingxin Buddha Mother with anticipation, "Buddha Mother, can you save her?"

Pingxin Buddha Mother smiled, "What’s so difficult about that?"

She flicked her finger at the dagger, snap~ the dagger shattered into pieces, little glimmers of light emerged from the broken dagger, like beautiful fireflies fluttering all over the sky.

Pingxin Buddha Mother pointed, a pitch-black void appeared, all the glimmers of light entered the void, then the void vanished.

Pingxin Buddha Mother explained: "Her soul has shattered, I have now placed her True Spirit into the Six Paths of Reincarnation to nurture and reshape her soul."

Bai Jin bowed in thanks, breathing a sigh of relief, gratefully saying: "Thank you, Buddha Mother!" With A Xiu around, there’s still a chance to avert the impending Demon Tribulation, it’s worth a try even without a head~ I’m truly a genius.

"Bai Jin, why do you care so much about a common woman?"

Bai Jin, looking sorrowful and empathetic, tilted his head up forty-five degrees towards the sky, reciting: "I am always too soft-hearted, too soft-hearted, bearing all burdens on my own."

Pingxin Buddha Mother flicked her finger, thump~ a muffled sound came from Bai Jin’s head.

"Ouch~" Bai Jin immediately brought his hands to his head, bowing it down.

Mistress Ping Xin said with amusement: "Speak properly!"

Bai Jin rubbed his forehead and said helplessly: "Mistress, you know that your disciple has always been kind-hearted and likes to help others. The tragedy of Jin Naluo and A Xiu really tugs at my heartstrings, so I want to give them a helping hand."

Mistress Ping Xin pondered for a moment and nodded understandingly, smilingly she said: "Your good deeds today will surely be repaid in the future."

Bai Jin said with a silly laugh: "What reward? I really haven’t thought that far ahead. I simply wanted to save someone!"

Mistress Ping Xin said with a smile: "Good and evil will always be repaid. A good deed that seeks no reward is truly a noble act.

Bai Jin, after you went to the rescue of A Xiu just now, I too have become tired. Go prepare some food!"

Bai Jin was startled for a moment and said in astonishment: "Mistress, you merely flicked your finger!"

"I’m tired now too, so go quickly!"

"Yes!" Bai Jin replied helplessly, turning and walking to the kitchen, muttering to himself that it wasn’t really about being tired, but clearly about craving something tasty, careful not to become a little plump.

"What are you thinking about?"

Bai Jin shuddered and hurriedly called out: "Disciple is pondering what meal to prepare for you, Mistress." He then picked up his pace and ran off quickly.

Mistress Ping Xin huffed, and although she did not know exactly what Bai Jin was thinking, she could vaguely feel a chill and was certain he was not thinking anything good.

...

Three days later, The Buddha, clad in his Kasaya, walked slowly into the heart of Chaos and entered the Pure Land.

Within the Pure Land, Jieyin and Zhunti sat on the Lotus Platform, smiling as they watched Duo Bao Tathagata come through the void.

Duo Bao Tathagata folded his hands and bowed, his grand voice echoing throughout the Pure Land: "Namo Amitabha Buddha~ Namo my teacher, Buddha Xu Puti~"

Jieyin gestured and said: "The Buddha, please take a seat!"

A magnificent Golden Lotus blossomed from below forming a Lotus Platform.

The Buddha floated onto the Lotus Platform and sat down, a radiant Buddha Wheel shimmering behind him.

The Buddha’s grand voice sounded: "The teachings of the Mahayana Buddhism have become nominal. I implore the Buddha to issue a Dharma Decree to unite Buddhism."

Jieyin’s expression changed slightly, a touch of sorrow showing through; Mahayana Buddhism has indeed perished!

Zhunti said with a smile: "Even without our decree, you can still unite Buddhism. Such is the mighty trend that cannot be resisted!"

The Buddha respectfully said: "The Daoist orthodoxy must be concluded by the Saints."

Zhunti spoke directly: "You want to bring Ran Deng, Ksitigarbha, Mile and others under your fold."

The Buddha had an unchanged expression, showing no embarrassment at being exposed, his grand voice resonated: "All are disciples of the Buddha Sect, naturally they should be united."

Zhunti laughed heartily: "You shattered my Mahayana Buddhism, and yet you dare to ask me for a Dharma Decree, accepting all of its teachings. What magnanimity, what courage! Duo Bao, I’m growing fonder of you by the moment."

Duo Bao Tathagata bowed low and said with a smile: "Thank you for the profound affection, Buddha Mother!"

Zhunti said: "Since you have come, I shall give you this decree."

"Thank you, Buddha Mother!" Duo Bao Tathagata’s face revealed a joyous expression. With this Dharma Decree, Ran Deng and others will all enter the Lesser Mahayana Buddhism.

Zhunti asked warmly: "Duo Bao, I know you were sent by Taishang Saint, to destroy our paths as retribution for the past Sealing God Battle.

But have you thought about it for yourself?"

Duo Bao Tathagata frowned: "What do you mean, Buddha Mother?"

"Now that the Mahayana Buddhism has perished, and your goal has been achieved."

Zhunti pointed at Duo Bao Tathagata and said earnestly: "But what will your path be in the future? Do you intend to forsake everything here and return to the Eastern lands?"
