Chapter 442: Chapter 399, Ksitigarbha Leasing Treasures

Bai Jin hesitated for a moment and said with difficulty, "Originally! This business has not been launched yet. I should not lease a magic treasure to you, but you called me ’Teacher’!"
He breathed out and said, "Well then! Gu Liang, take him to the third floor to look at the magic treasures."
Gu Liang hesitated and said, "Senior Brother, this is against the rules."
Bai Jin spoke righteously, "Rules are made to be broken. For the sake of my mentoring relationship with Ksitigarbha, I shall disregard the rules today. I will bear all consequences."
Ksitigarbha spoke with emotion, "Teacher, your disciple thanks you very much!"
Bai Jin said gently, "Hurry along now! You have been away from the Spiritual Mountain for too long, and I’m afraid troubles may arise. After renting the magic treasure, go back."
"Um~ May the Teacher inform me, what kind of magic treasure would be appropriate?"
"Expensive ones!"
Ksitigarbha chuckled, and sure enough, it was the Teacher’s usual style - straightforward and simple. He turned and followed Gu Liang out.
After a short while, Gu Liang bounced back, smiling and said, "Senior Brother, Ksitigarbha has left."
Bai Jin smiled and asked, "What magic treasure did he rent?"
"Senior Brother, Ksitigarbha rented a Black Bowl."
Gu Liang asked curiously, "Senior Brother, what kind of magic treasure is that? I saw that it was very expensive!"
"The Black Bowl? It must be that one, Ksitigarbha does have a good eye."
"Senior Brother, what exactly is it?" Gu Liang pleaded playfully.
Bai Jin spoke with a smile, "Its name is indeed the Big Black Bowl, forged by Lady Ping Xin. It has the marvelous effect of suppressing the Primordial Spirit and contains the laws of Reincarnation of the Underworld, naturally, its value is high."
"Ah! It’s actually forged by Lady Ping Xin. Senior Brother, aren’t you worried about it being taken by Buddhism?" Gu Liang worriedly said.
Bai Jin said nonchalantly, "Just let Ksitigarbha compensate for it. If he can’t afford it, he can pay off the debt with his body; exchanging a magic treasure for an ancient Bodhisattva of Buddhism is something I’ll hardly refuse!"
Gu Liang blinked, sighing - will he really have to compensate if it’s lost? "Senior Brother, by this calculation, we can’t lose out, can we?"
Bai Jin smiled and nodded.
"Senior Brother, you really are shrewd."
Bai Jin replied bluntly, "What are you saying? Am I shrewd? I’m just eager to help people."
He spoke earnestly, "Miss Gu Liang, you must change your mindset. We are helping Ksitigarbha and others to fend off the oppression from both Mahayana and Theravada Buddhism, to help them achieve their own ideals and aspirations. We are the righteous side. They should be thanking us!"
"Elder brother, thank you~" The distant communication from Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva came through.
"See! Told you so!"
Gu Liang immediately shouted loudly: "Yes, I remember now, we are helping them, we’re definitely not tricking anyone."
Bai Jin said with satisfaction: "That’s more like it~ Go and weed my garden!"

Spiritual Mountain, the Holy Land, where towering peaks stand firm, each one shimmering with Buddha Light, especially the Spiritual Mountain where the Randeng Buddha and The Buddha reside, towering the highest.
On one of the Spiritual Mountains, the palace of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva stood tall. Ksitigarbha sat majestically within the grand hall, while countless Bodhisattva Arhats sat below, intently gazing at the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.
A magnificent voice rose within the grand hall: "Benevolent and accumulated with goodness, vowing to save all sentient beings, with a golden tinsel in hand, flinging open the gates of Hell. With the Bright Pearl on the palm, illuminating the Great Thousand World. In the sound of wisdom, amidst the auspicious clouds, for the tormented sentient beings of Yanfuti, you serve as a great testament and master of merit. With great compassion and great vows, the eminent great Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Mahas."
All the countless Bodhisattva Arhats put their hands together in reverence, as the great voice resonated: "Namo Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva!"
"Ksitigarbha~" A loud shout suddenly came from outside, drowning out the voices within the grand hall.
Outside the grand hall, the auspicious clouds enveloped the area, and Buddha Light radiated outwards, with a powerful presence that felt as if the heavens were collapsing and the earth splitting.
All the Arhat Bodhisattvas within the hall became restless and uneasily agitated.
Maitreya Buddha, Medicine Buddha, Great Sun Tathagata, and Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva all turned their heads to look in the direction of the Ksitigarbha Palace. This was the second visit, could Ksitigarbha withstand the threat from Theravada Buddhism this time? Would he retreat back to the Netherworld Yin Mountain?!
Above the auspicious clouds outside the palace stood Buddha of Tranquil Light and Joy, Ma Yuan Venerate King Buddha, Vihara Buddha, and Venerable Fajie. They were all the finest among the Jie Sect’s second generation of disciples, with genuine Daluo Golden Immortal Cultivation. Previously ennobled as Bodhisattva Arhats by Mahayana Buddhism, now they have defected to Duo Bao Tathagata, all being ennobled as Buddhas.
The grand voice of Buddha of Tranquil Light and Joy sounded: "Vowing not to attain Buddhahood until Hell is empty, when sentient beings are wholly liberated then enlightenment will be proven; such is the grand vow of Venerable Ksitigarbha. We too hold great admiration.
Now, sentient beings still languish within Hell, but it is improper for the Venerable to return to Spiritual Mountain. We beseech the Venerable to return to the Underworld, to guide and transform the living beings. Namo Amitabha Buddha~"
"Namo Amitabha Buddha~" Above the auspicious clouds, Ma Yuan Venerate King Buddha, Vihara Buddha, Venerable Fajie, and others also chanted the Buddha’s name. Their combined powerful presence became a unified force, pressuring towards Ksitigarbha Palace. The entire Ksitigarbha Palace thundered and rumbled, as Sanskrit Prohibitions emerged.
Ksitigarbha spoke slowly, his grand voice echoed between Heaven and Earth: "Buddhism is now in chaos, how can I be content sitting quietly on the Lotus Platform, neglecting the Daoist lineage of our Buddha’s teachings?"
Ma Yuan Venerate King Buddha shouted: "If that is the case, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, you can’t blame us, we must escort you back to Yin Mountain!"
Inside the grand hall, Ksitigarbha extended his hand, and a Bowl shimmering with the light of Merit appeared in his palm.
The Bowl in Ksitigarbha’s hand was thrown out, flying from the palace and growing to a hundred zhang in size as it spun in the air, its speed increasing, resembling a whirlpool of flowing Jing Guang.
Buddha of Tranquil Light and Joy and the others felt dizzy and disoriented, emitting uncomfortable groans, clutching their foreheads and staggering.
On the auspicious clouds, one by one, the Bodhisattva Arhats silently fell downwards, like rag dolls, thudding into the mountains of Spiritual Mountain below.
A tremor stirred within the hearts of Buddha of Tranquil Light and Joy and other Buddhas. Desiring to retreat, they found they could not escape, the feeling of powerlessness was like a rabbit caught in a whirlpool.
Omm~ a giant palm formed above Great Leiyin Temple.
The colossal palm struck the golden Bowl, and with a dong, the resounding sound shook Spiritual Mountain. The golden Bowl was immediately knocked away, and Buddha of Tranquil Light and Joy and the others were thus freed from the restraint of the golden Bowl, hastily fleeing towards Great Leiyin Temple in panic.
Within the Ksitigarbha Palace, Ksitigarbha too was startled. Duo Bao Tathagata himself had taken action. Was this the might of a Quasi-Saint? A single palm strike had shattered the Magic Treasure I had rented at a high cost. Thankfully, Duo Bao would not personally deal with us, there is yet a chance, I will never concede.
