Breezy Little Daoist Boy

Chapter 623 - 558, Touring the Bird’s Nest

Chapter 623: Chapter 558, Touring the Bird’s Nest

Ksitigarbha couldn’t help but laugh, muttering to himself, "The best at alchemy? The Emperor really isn’t modest." After hesitating slightly, he pushed open the great palace doors, and a fragrance of medicine from within the hall rushed to his face, refreshing his heart and mind.

Ksitigarbha took a deep breath and immediately felt the mana within his body become somewhat restless, the Three Flowers swaying.

In astonishment, Ksitigarbha muttered to himself, "This... this is a Dao Pill, an elixir containing the rhythm of the Tao."

He hurried into the Alchemy Room. Inside, there hung multiple Jade Gourds, each adorned with a Tao Rune to suppress the elixirs.

Some gourds were even floating in the air below the dome, each emitting the rhythm of the Tao, surrounded by a halo of nine colors.

Ksitigarbha widened his eyes, looking around, muttering, "Seven-Transformation Golden Core, Eight-Transformation Golden Core, Nine Revolutions Golden Pill..."

His heart twitched slightly; none of the hundreds of gourds hanging in this hall contained anything less than a Seven-Transformation Golden Core, and the highest were the Nine Revolutions Golden Pills, the pinnacle of elixirs, where creation happens on its own upon completion.

If a Nine Revolutions Golden Pill were to leak into the Primordial World, countless beings would likely fight to the death over it, with Golden Immortals bleeding, and even Daluo Golden Immortals joining the battle.

Yet, there were dozens of bottles of Nine Revolutions Golden Pills hanging in this palace. Could it be that Emperor Gouchen had emptied the Doushuai Temple? Even emptying the Doushuai Temple shouldn’t have yielded this many, should it?

Walking inside the Alchemy Hall, Ksitigarbha’s mouth watered with envy, his eyes reddening as he glanced around secretly, a tempting thought crossed his mind, "What if I stealthily took one bottle with me? Emperor might not notice, right?"

Ksitigarbha immediately shook his head, murmuring to himself, "No, no, how could I commit theft when the Emperor trusts me this much?"

He decisively turned and left, but couldn’t help looking back before he reached the door, his heart scratching with inner turmoil, never before had he seen such an abundance of elixirs! The Emperor truly deserves to be called the richest in the Three Realms, probably even surpassing Lord Lao Zi’s Golden Cores.

After leaving the Alchemy Hall, Ksitigarbha came in front of another temple, the sign of which read ’Scripture Pavilion’, with a couplet mounted beside it.

The upper couplet read: Establishing doctrines, teaching the grand Tao within Zixiao Palace.

The lower couplet read: Writing books, the Daoist lineage of the Mysterious Sect continues herein.

The horizontal inscription: Grandfather preaches across the Primordial World!

Ksitigarbha, the Bodhisattva, was speechless. The Emperor’s couplet didn’t seem too serious! But the couplet did likely refer to the Taoist Ancestor within Zixiao Palace; the Emperor could indeed be addressed as Master.

Pushing open the palace doors and walking inside, the great hall housed a bedstead and a few chairs, with the rest being bookshelves filled with Scriptures.

Ksitigarbha approached the bookshelves, picked up a Scripture with two big characters on it, ’Mo Scripture’.

"This is Mozi’s work," Ksitigarbha said to himself, placing down the ’Mo Scripture’ and continuing deeper inside.

Scriptures caught his eye one after the other on the shelves, including ’Zongheng Strategy’, ’Legal Code’, ’Analects’ and other classics of the Hundred Schools.

There were also Scriptures written by Great Cultivators, such as ’Yin Yang Theory’ from the Ancient Times’ Yin Yang Ancestor — though only a transcribed version, it was still very precious.

’Gu Scripture’, written by the Ancient Power Pan Wang.

’Mountain and River Book’, written by Ancient Great Power Qiankun Ancestor.

’Earth and Wood Scripture’, written by Immortal Zhenyuan.

""Heavenly Kill Scripture", written by the Ming He Sect Master.

"War Manual", written by the War God Chi You.

"Tathagata’s True Scripture", written by Shakyamuni.

"Heavenly God Scripture", written by Emperor Haotian.

...

The scriptures stored here include some I’ve heard of, while others are unheard of, encompassing everything, truly shocking.

Countless scriptures, tens of thousands in number, some penned by the Primordial Great Powers, others even by mortals. Even those written by mortals, to be collected by Emperor Gouchen, must also possess their uniqueness.

Throughout the process, Ksitigarbha continually chanted ’Amitabha Buddha!’, ’Amitabha Buddha!’ to mask the shock within his heart, realizing that this truly is what a Scripture Pavilion should be!

Compared to his, the Scripture Pavilion of Spiritual Mountain is nothing. Could it be that the Emperor has collected all the scriptures of the Primordial World? Ksitigarbha has no doubts that the Emperor could achieve this.

Ksitigarbha slowly walked to the very back, seeing six towering bookshelves, each radiant with seven-colored flowing light, splendid and extraordinary, each bookshelf enshrining only a single scripture.

Ksitigarbha walked up to the nearest splendid bookshelf, on which stood a Taoist Scripture with purple covers. Three large characters were written on it, "Tao Te Ching".

Ksitigarbha’s eyes suddenly widened, it was actually a Saint’s scripture. Unable to restrain himself, he reached out for the scripture. Just as he touched the scripture, a Taiji Diagram emerged on its surface, and Bang~a beam of light flashed.

Ksitigarbha was immediately flung backward, Thump~ smashing into a distant wall.

"Cough cough~" Ksitigarbha clutched his chest, constantly coughing, murmuring: "Is this a handwritten scripture by a Saint?"

Looking towards the other splendid bookshelves, could these also be scriptures handwritten by Saints?

Unable to help himself, Ksitigarbha flew towards another bookshelf, upon which a pale yellow scripture lay, bearing four large characters,"Great Dream Heart Scripture".

Ksitigarbha’s eyes suddenly widened, shocked he said: "The Emperor even has Master’s Taoist Scripture? How did he obtain it?" The Great Dream Heart Scripture, even I don’t possess it.

Bai Jin having "Tao Te Ching", Ksitigarbha was not surprised at all, but him having"Great Dream Heart Scripture"as well, how did he obtain it?

Ksitigarbha couldn’t help but reach out his sinful hand towards the"Great Dream Heart Scripture"again.

The surface of the Great Dream Heart Scripture displayed a dream-like illusion of the world, Bang~ Ksitigarbha was flung backward once more, harshly smashing into the wall, causing the great hall to roar.

"Cough cough~" Ksitigarbha continuously coughed twice, his expression in pain, truly Master does not show any favor at all! His Primordial Spirit was shaken, his blood and qi churning.

Ksitigarbha took a moment to recover, then walked towards the other bookshelves, "Tongtian Daoist Scripture","Original Scripture","Creation Scripture","Reincarnation Scripture",all Holy Scriptures handwritten by Saints, except for Master’s"Karma Scripture", now all are complete.

Ksitigarbha murmured to himself: "Holding the Holy Books of Six Venerable Saints, apart from the Emperor, there is no second person in the Primordial World, right?" His heart filled with envy! Things worthy of throwing away, comparing people can really make one wish to die!

Then, Ksitigarbha visited other Divine Palaces, the chessboard room permeated with Mysterious Yellow Merit Qi, the Array Divine Palace full of mysteries, even the kitchen was enviably magnificent.

Finally, Ksitigarbha arrived at the study room, which, compared to other grand halls, was rather ordinary; a desk and two rows of bookshelves, with some papers and pens on the desk.

Ksitigarbha came before the desk, casually looked around, noticed a half-unrolled scroll, and out of curiosity, Ksitigarbha picked it up and unfolded it for inspection, his expression suddenly changing.
