Cen Yemeng kissed her son repeatedly.
Her mother was overjoyed to see her child was a genius.
Jiang Ye's hands trembled with excitement. He pulled out his phone, opened the app Isabel had sent, and began scanning the large painting on the ground.
The scanning process took longer than expected, a full eight minutes. Prompts kept appearing on the screen, asking Jiang Ye to change the direction and height of his phone.
Massive data points were uploaded continuously, finally combining into a data packet of 0.9GB.
Jiang Ye was astonished. How could a single painting contain so much data?
He sent it to Isabel.
After a twenty-minute wait, Isabel replied, "Received. I'll print it out immediately for Professor Shi Ningfu."
Jiang Senlin seemed tired of painting and ran downstairs. He climbed onto a robotic dog in the manor, and the robotic dog carried him like a warhorse, galloping across the grounds.
Jiang Ye and Cen Yemeng sat by the window, watching their son gallop like a horse on the lawn, waiting with hopeful hearts.
After a full hour, Jiang Ye's phone vibrated.
"Shi Ningfu" requested to add you as a friend.
Jiang Ye almost jumped up. The master had taken the initiative to add him as a friend. What did that mean? Jiang Senlin's painting must have captivated her, or at least piqued her strong interest!
He accepted immediately.
After a brief wait, the first message arrived.
Shi Ningfu: "The painting is truly magnificent! This child has skillfully employed various colors. The dark tones highlight the oppressive and terrifying atmosphere, while the bright colors below serve as accents, creating a sense of encroaching darkness, like clouds pressing down on the city, threatening to crush it. The monster is depicted abstractly yet with a captivating spirit. The large areas of blood-red and the texture of muscles and veins are remarkably lifelike. It's hard to imagine a child could achieve such accurate lighting and shadow. My own mediocre students struggle to reach this level even after three or four years of study."
Jiang Ye: "On behalf of my child, I thank you for your praise, teacher. I also have videos of my child painting, secretly filmed through the door. Please wait a moment while I compress them to send to you. I'm not sure about the proper posture for painting, so I would appreciate your guidance to help my child develop good habits."
Jiang Ye's reply was clever. He first acknowledged the teacher, and if she didn't object, half the teacher-student relationship was established.
Shi Ningfu clearly doubted whether the painting was actually by a child. Jiang Ye, under the guise of "painting posture," sent a video to prove his innocence.
The video was quite large, taking half an hour to transfer.
Shi Ningfu: "The child's focused expression deeply moved me. This must be what talent looks like, as if heaven itself is guiding his hand. There's no specific posture for painting; as long as you're immersed, you can paint even while standing on your head. Let him paint freely!"
Shi Ningfu: "I am so excited I don't know what to say. This child is truly a great talent. Ms. Isabel mentioned that this child needs a teacher. I would be greatly honored if I could be his teacher."
Jiang Ye handed the phone to Cen Yemeng to see.
Cen Yemeng happily grabbed his shoulder and shook him.
Jiang Ye replied: "Thank you very much for your interest in my child! I'm not sure about the art world's pricing, but how about a yearly tuition fee of one hundred million for this child? Also, since the child is still young, how should we structure the lessons?"
Shi Ningfu: "No, no, no, I won't charge any fees. I simply wish to be this child's first painting teacher. I'm quite busy with school matters recently and cannot visit for now, but I can offer online lessons first. When I have time later, I will personally come to teach this child for a period."
Jiang Ye sent another message, insisting on paying, but Shi Ningfu firmly refused. They exchanged messages for half an hour, as if money were a bomb.
Finally, Shi Ningfu changed the subject: "In the child's previous monster painting, he depicted a giant monster overlooking the city. This aligns with a child's imagination, as most monsters are quite large. Furthermore, some animated films feature similar scenes. I would like to assign the child a task: to paint a small monster. I am very curious to see what techniques this child will use to express a smaller scale."
Cen Yemeng immediately ran into the manor, brought the child back to the studio, and assigned him the task.
Jiang Senlin had no resistance to painting. For him, painting seemed to be a form of play and games, so he readily picked up his brush and began to paint without a second thought.
In less than half an hour, a new painting emerged.
Even though he already knew his son was a genius, Jiang Ye felt a prickling sensation on his scalp.
He recognized some elements in the painting, such as the table and the items on it, which were from his study desk.
Jiang Ye didn't know how his son managed it. Despite the chaotic colors, one could still imagine what was being depicted.
And it was incredibly artistic.
