Chapter 431 Purple Storm Alert

Fang Cheng borrowed a spare ornithopter from the military base and flew directly to the fourth continent.

He planned to switch to another aircraft at the military base on the fourth continent before heading to the fifth continent to inspect the numerous four-eyed deer, a truly rare sight.

Not long after the plane took off, his earphone beeped.

"Hello, hello, are you there?" Feng Zhi Shuang's voice came through.

"Yes, what are your orders?" Jiang Ye asked.

"Oh, I wouldn't dare give orders. You're the leader, and my team is here to serve you," Feng Zhi Shuang said. "Your troops discovered four-eyed deer, right? Quite a lot of them?"

"You're very well-informed!" Jiang Ye asked suspiciously. "Do you have an informant in my troops?"

"Informant? No, it's transaction data. I saw many people throwing deer antlers into the transaction warehouse," Feng Zhi Shuang said. "How many deer are there, approximately?"

"A lot. In just two hours, we killed thirty to forty thousand. You didn't see the scene, it was truly a stampede of ten thousand deer, flowing endlessly!" Jiang Ye exclaimed with awe. "My troops just arrived on the fifth continent, and the entire continent seems to be filled with four-eyed deer."

"Don't kill them all, don't let your over-excited young men kill them all. Calm them down," Feng Zhi Shuang changed the subject. "I'm starting a deer product company, and sixty percent of the profits will go to you. You lend me some troops to help me catch deer."

"Deer product company?" Jiang Ye was surprised. "You're starting it yourself? What exactly will you do? Sell deer antlers to other planets?"

"The four-eyed deer is a treasure from head to toe!" Feng Zhi Shuang exclaimed. "Deer antlers can be sold for money, deer hooves are also valuable, deer hide can be made into luxury goods, deer meat can be made into jerky, and deer eyes and internal organs can be used to extract hormones. Deer bones can be boiled to make health supplements. Killing a deer and selling only the antlers might fetch tens of thousands of yuan, but after processing, the profit can be millions. Are you in on this deal?"

"How many troops do you need? What equipment?" Jiang Ye asked.

"Give me five hundred soldiers for a week. You don't need to worry about equipment; I'll handle that."

"Where did you get military equipment?" Jiang Ye asked suspiciously again.

"Oh, we're old classmates, why are you still being so cautious? I'll import a tranquilizer gun company from another planet and produce a batch of tranquilizer guns for your soldiers to use," Feng Zhi Shuang said. "Don't send all five hundred soldiers to me at once. Find a commander to lead them, and I'll tell the commander directly what to do."

Jiang Ye directly sent over Che Zhen's contact information.

"You liaise with him. Currently, he is my confidant and the highest-ranking official responsible for the development of the fifth continent, named Che Zhen," Jiang Ye said.

"That's an exciting name. Alright, you carry on," Feng Zhi Shuang said and hung up.

The fifth continent was far away. Jiang Ye flew to the fourth continent and landed. After eating, he switched planes, and by the time he flew to the fifth continent, it was already night.

He had already issued a kill order, temporarily prohibiting the hunting of four-eyed deer.

However, some soldier squads still went to the fifth continent, carrying assault rifles with flashlights attached, wandering around the daytime battlefield, using knives to collect the deer antlers scattered on the ground, and taking them away to sell.

The ornithopter landed at the edge of the battlefield. Jiang Ye opened the cabin door and got out.

Spectacular, truly spectacular!

With the help of the soldiers' flashlights, the ground was covered with deer carcasses, packed tightly together. The blood plasma on the deer fur had turned black, appearing like armor under the flashlight beams. The air was filled with a腥味, giving it the atmosphere of an ancient battlefield, except here, there were battle deer instead of warhorses.

Some officers hurried over, saluted Jiang Ye, and then obediently followed behind him.

"No need, no need. I'm just taking a look. You should continue with what you were doing," Jiang Ye waved his hand.

The officers hesitated, not leaving completely, but retreating a short distance, so as not to disturb their superior, yet ready to rush back if called.

Jiang Ye looked around and took out a camera from his pocket.

He searched for angles and started taking pictures, clicking away.

Photos were printed out quickly, over a hundred were taken in total.

Jiang Ye, holding a large stack of photos, returned to the ornithopter, closed the cabin door, and examined them under the light.

He selected six that looked good and discarded the rest.

Then, he took out paper and pen and began to write a letter.

"Dear Cen Yemeng:"

"The spaceship from the seed company is so late in coming; I've almost turned to stone waiting. Fortunately, the war has improved, and I expect we'll be able to resume correspondence soon."

"I plan to take photos of interesting things, all of which are things I want to talk to you about."

"Look at these photos, and ask me if you want to know the story behind any of them."

After finishing, he carefully wrapped the photos and placed them in a mini safe.

Jiang Ye got into the plane and took off.

He went home and slept soundly. After waking up and eating a meal, he immediately entered the remote control cabin.

After a few minutes of hazy consciousness, he opened his eyes in a bathtub filled with ice. Outside the window, there was the sound of trees being chopped.

Jiang Ye put on his clothes and went to the window. Many swordsmen had already arrived and were diligently felling trees to expand the camp area.

He ordered a swordsman mecha, put it on, and went out, joining the tree-felling team.

After felling two trees, Isabella's voice came over the team channel.

"Attention, attention, a storm will arrive in an hour, with heavy rainfall." She paused. "Return indoors to take shelter in advance."

Jiang Ye knew where she was upon hearing this. He went straight to the second floor of the main base building, pushed the door, but it was locked from the inside.

"Open the door, open the door, it's me," Jiang Ye said.

"Did you bring anyone else?" Isabella asked through the door.

"No, just me," Jiang Ye thought, why is this like a spy rendezvous?

As soon as the door opened, he understood why Isabella had asked if he brought anyone else. She wasn't wearing a mecha or even outer clothing, only a pink bikini. Even the blood vessels under her skin were visible. She looked incredibly cool and refreshing.

"Whoa, why aren't you wearing a mecha?" Jiang Ye quickly entered the room, closed the door, and locked it to prevent anyone from barging in. "The air on this planet is toxic, won't you be poisoned to death like this?"

"This building has air purification, and I've also turned on the air conditioning," Isabella said, crossing her legs and sitting down. She tapped her fingers on the screen on the table. "Look, a big storm is coming, it might be a weather weapon."

Jiang Ye also took off his helmet and sat down to look at the screen display. Satellite aerial photography indicated strong winds and rain within fifty minutes, with both wind and rain flagged with a purple warning. Jiang Ye wasn't sure how severe a purple warning was, but the color alone indicated it was no simple matter.

As he looked up, a gust of wind swept past the window. The previously clear sky darkened at a visible speed. The rainforest swayed violently, and palm-sized leaves fell from the branches one after another. The soldiers who were felling trees all looked up at the sky as waves of lead-gray clouds surged in.

A flash of lightning, followed by thunder. The soldiers were startled and turned to run, retreating into their respective living quarters. Soon, there was no one outside the base.

Raindrops pattered against the window, rapidly intensifying, quickly becoming like a wash of water. The sound of heavy rain echoed through the rainforest.

"The rainstorm started early?" Jiang Ye asked.

"No, this is just a small prelude. The real storm will peak in an hour and a half. I've checked the meteorological data for Birong Star, and the scene will be terrifying," Isabella said, gesturing with her chin towards the window. "Look, the trees are ready."
