Chapter 339 Are You Goats

At seven in the morning, Jiang Ye slowly woke up.

A creaking sound, very rhythmic.

He sat up and saw Liu Jizi mopping the floor with all her might, the mop making noise on the floor, like a nanny.

"You can get a robot to do this kind of work," Jiang Ye said.

"You're awake!" Liu Jizi put down the mop and smiled, "I've already arranged your schedule for today. You go wash up first, and breakfast will be delivered shortly."

"After breakfast, at eight o'clock, you will meet the newly admitted immigrants in the auditorium, including survivors from Zone B and Zone C. They registered their identities at the Cretaceous Police Station last night and are coming to report to you today."

"At nine o'clock, the post-war summary meeting will be held in the second conference room. All captains have been notified to attend."

"That's all for now. If you have any other arrangements later, just tell me, and I'll help you arrange transportation."

Jiang Ye smiled with satisfaction, "I'm going to the Cretaceous area this afternoon to check on the newly planted sand-fixing grass."

"Understood!" Liu Jizi replied.

She wasn't Jiang Ye's personal secretary, but her current job was almost like serving the leader.

Jiang Ye was also optimistic about her. Although she had this and that minor issue, who didn't have minor issues? As long as she was reliable in her work.

"Oh, right, after those videos and photos were posted on the public channel yesterday, many people asked me if they could still immigrate. I said of course, you're always welcome," Liu Jizi smiled.

Jiang Ye reached for his phone by the bed, fumbled for a long time without finding it, and then remembered that his phone was still in the safe.

He put on his clothes, got up, opened the safe, took out his phone, and turned it on.

As expected, there were densely packed private messages, mostly requests to immigrate.

There were also a few people who cursed, condemning Jiang Ye for his arbitrary use of force.

Jiang Ye sighed, selected multiple messages, and added all those who wanted to immigrate to the previous new immigrant group chat.

The number of people in the group chat instantly increased by nearly a thousand.

He sent a private message to Isabel.

Jiang Ye: "More people want to immigrate. Please work hard to pick them up again, same price. I'll leave it to you."

Isabel: "Oh my, they must have been scared by your video yesterday. Alright, I'll go pick them up one by one."

Jiang Ye: "You're also a former colony officer. Do you think my actions were appropriate? Many people privately cursed me for being bloody."

Isabel: "There's no other way, colonies are that brutal. I understand you. Don't forget that these scattered outsiders can buy weapons from the Galactic Mall, they are all potential sources of danger. Just eliminate them, use satellites to find them, and blow them up remotely one by one."

Jiang Ye: "Good heavens, you're even more ruthless than me."

Isabel: "This is just the beginning. If you had served in the interstellar fleet, you would know that when the technological gap widens, it's like using a flamethrower to kill mosquitoes, mercilessly. How many alien species have been wiped out? We humans are lucky to have boarded the Galactic Empire's train, otherwise, we would have been finished long ago. You and I would only meet at the monkey mountain in an interstellar zoo, with aliens buying tickets to visit us."

Jiang Ye scratched his head. Isabel's name sounded English, but he always felt that Isabel was of Russian descent. This girl was truly fierce, her words and actions were all aggressive.

He put down his phone and went to the bathroom to wash up.

A busy day began, and Jiang Ye strictly followed the schedule set by his secretary.

The first stop was the auditorium. The new immigrants from the BC settlement areas were about to start their new lives. Everyone was smiling, but they were still a little scared when they saw Jiang Ye, timidly greeting him as "Commander."

Jiang Ye was not arrogant; he shook hands and chatted with everyone. As they talked, he discovered that there were many talented people among the new immigrants, including a pianist, but unfortunately, the colony didn't have a piano at the moment.

After meeting the new immigrants, he went to the post-war summary meeting.

There wasn't much to summarize. Some bonuses were distributed, and a development plan for the second continent was formulated. Although the snow was thick, the expansion of territory could not stop.

He had a simple lunch at noon and then took a flapwing aircraft to the Cretaceous area in the afternoon.

The sand-fixing grass was growing vigorously, greening more than ten acres of desert. It was a spectacular sight.

The above-ground part of the sand-fixing grass resembled aloe, short and inconspicuous. But when pulled out, its roots were several meters long and lush, with many sand particles already stuck together by the mucus secreted by the roots.

Jiang Ye saw some guards chewing grass leaves in their mouths and quickly pointed at them:

"Spit it out! This isn't a vegetable, what if it's poisonous? You're eating grass, isn't the troop's food supply sufficient? Are you goats or rabbits?"

The guards spat out the grass leaves, looking embarrassed.

They were just bored and chewing something for fun. Since they didn't have gum or cigarettes, they chewed grass leaves.

Jiang Ye lectured the guard captain, saying that if any soldier got sick from eating grass, he would be dismissed.

After Jiang Ye left, the guard captain grinned through gritted teeth, blew his whistle to gather the guards, "Everyone's too idle, right? Let's do some push-ups. Push-ups are so interesting. Come on, everyone, three hundred!"

In the evening, Jiang Ye was in his office approving company resumes when he suddenly received a message.

Ju Lanlan: "We've all moved out. I was the last one to leave. The place has been cleaned, and the door is closed."

Jiang Ye: "Okay, thank you."

The military base on the second continent had not yet been built, so there was no work for now. Jiang Ye went downstairs, got into his car, and set the destination to home. The bed at home was more comfortable than the office; he wanted to go back and rest for two days.

The flying car sped like lightning, passing over the vast white plains and arriving at the hot spring area.

Jiang Ye swiped his face at the door, opened it, and entered the house. The mahjong table in the living room was gone, and everything was back to its original state.

The sweeping robot was buzzing and working in the corner, cleaning non-existent stains. It turned around when it heard footsteps, "Master, you're finally back! I've already driven away the invaders."

"You're awesome," Jiang Ye gave it a thumbs-up.

Night had already fallen, and Jiang Ye went upstairs to his bedroom.

He wearily collapsed onto the bed and burrowed into the soft quilt.

There was still a scent of perfume on the pillow, which was quite pleasant. He quickly fell asleep.
