Chapter 44 A Bear Trap?

Jiang Ye’s hands moved with lightning speed, tossing four grenades in succession. He quickly placed four more on the windowsill and grabbed his needle shotgun.

If the grenades didn't kill it, he’d shoot it twice with the shotgun, then finish it off with the five-shot.

The giant bear saw the incoming grenades and actually stopped. It watched them land beside it, unmoving.

It seemed this bear's intelligence was lacking; it didn't even know fear.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

Earth-shattering explosions sent tons of soil and geysers of bright red blood into the air!

Dust clouds rose like monsters, only to be quickly dispersed by the cold wind, showering the ground with sand and grit.

Instead of charging forward in a frenzy, the giant bear collapsed onto the ground, motionless.

Its body was mangled and bleeding from the explosions, its fur torn. After the blood grenades detonated, a dark red mist had formed in the air. This mist clung to the bear's fur, causing it to smoke black, as if scorched. It appeared the blood mist from the blood grenades had a killing effect similar to biochemical weapons.

Jiang Ye lowered his gun, breathing a sigh of relief.

"You big oaf, thought you were something special. Died without even a roar!" Jiang Ye said with disdain.

As if sensing Jiang Ye's contempt, the giant bear, dead by the crater, began to tremble!

Immediately after, the bloody bear hide began to writhe violently.

"Oh no, don't tell me it's happening again! Rest in peace! You were a brave bear! I was just kidding!" Jiang Ye’s face turned green.

The bear didn't stop. Its body contorted unnaturally, and then, its abdomen split open, spewing hot, black blood. Faintly, glistening white fat could be seen.

Something was inside the bear, trying to tear its way out!

Jiang Ye frantically placed grenades on the windowsill, twenty or more in the blink of an eye, ready to face an armored division.

Finally, a bloody, black object crawled out from the giant bear's belly.

Jiang Ye was shocked. It was an alien bear, slightly smaller, and looked exactly like the dead one!

Could it be that the one he killed was a pregnant mother, and the cub was coming out for revenge?

If so, he’d ensure a double death, wiping out the entire family!

Jiang Ye hurled grenades again. After working as a miner and farmer for so many days, his arm strength had improved. His grenades flew far and true, with four consecutive ones landing on the cub’s back.

The cub opened its mouth, as if to let out a roar. But the fierce explosion instantly swallowed it.

Dust and blood mist were blown away by the wind.

The cub lay on its back, legs in the air, blown over and its head shattered. Its brains spilled out, and a blood vessel, like a snake, extended from its head, writhing and spraying blood. It was disgusting.

"Amitabha, a tragedy for the alien bear family," Jiang Ye said, stroking the grenades on the windowsill, his expression as compassionate as if he were counting prayer beads.

Before he could celebrate, the dead cub’s body on the ground twitched again.

Jiang Ye’s expression turned to terror. "No way! Not again!"

The cub’s body moved more and more violently, the scene becoming extremely bizarre, like a zombie.

The cub’s abdomen suddenly split open, and a small bear paw emerged.

"Are you kidding me? It's really happening again!" Jiang Ye picked up a grenade. "Why is it endless, generation after generation? There's no need for such persistence, like Yu Gong moving mountains!"

A tiny cub emerged bloodily from the small bear's abdomen, like a butterfly struggling out of its cocoon. The weather was cold, and it was steaming all over.

Several fist-sized objects fell from the sky, hitting its head. It was stunned, not understanding what was happening.

Boom! Boom! Boom!
