Before dawn, Jiang Ye's car arrived at the newly completed military factory district.
Several military factories were adjacent to each other, brightly lit and roaring with the sound of machinery. Night shift workers bustled in and out, all wearing orange work clothes with reflective strips and walkie-talkies clipped to their shoulders.
Jiang Ye first went to the energy-concentrating pistol factory and found many finished firearms already on the assembly line.
The factory manager took him to the shooting range for a test fire.
The shooting range was only a hundred meters long. Instead of targets, there were many large yellow stones found in the wild, with bullseyes spray-painted in red. White lights filled the entire range, making everything appear in sharp detail.
Following the staff's instructions, Jiang Ye put on green noise-canceling headphones and opened the pistol case.
The energy-concentrating pistol was painted entirely black and resembled traditional handguns in appearance, as both were designed ergonomically. However, the barrel was thicker, and there was a small indicator light on the side to display energy levels.
There were two triggers: the front one was for "injure," and the rear one was for "shatter."
The bullets were small, rice-sized metal spheres, and the magazine could hold two hundred of them.
Jiang Ye gripped the pistol with both hands and aimed at a giant rock the size of a refrigerator fifty meters away.
He pulled the "injure" trigger.
With a crisp "poof," a small piece of the stone, about the size of a walnut, was chipped off.
He felt almost no recoil, similar to firing a water gun.
Jiang Ye frowned; the power was less than he had imagined. Such kinetic energy would struggle to even kill a bird.
He raised the gun again and pulled the "shatter" trigger.
His wrist jolted, and with a "bang," the hit rock exploded, shedding a layer of dust, and a piece the size of a human head shattered into fragments!
Jiang Ye's eyes lit up. The power was acceptable, comparable to traditional machine gun rounds.
He continuously pulled the trigger, and the gun fired steadily with astonishing speed. In less than five seconds, the refrigerator-sized rock was pulverized into a pile of debris.
It was practically a mini-machine gun!
Jiang Ye marveled inwardly, thinking it finally looked like a proper killing weapon!
He got addicted to firing, and bullets whistled erratically across the shooting range, pulverizing one stone after another, kicking up vast clouds of dust.
After emptying the entire magazine, the shooting range was as thick with dust as if it were on fire.
Checking the energy display next to the pistol, he saw it had only dropped by 18%, an astonishing battery life.
Putting down the pistol, Jiang Ye was very satisfied. He immediately signed an order to equip all police chiefs and soldiers with energy-concentrating pistols, one for each person, with an unlimited supply of ammunition. Since the bullets were just small metal balls, there was no worry about them leaking out.
He then headed to the capsule drone factory.
The first batch of capsule drones had just been produced.
The finished product Jiang Ye received was still steaming. Its appearance was that of a large black capsule, but it was composed of folded drones.
A staff member handed him a rocket launcher.
Jiang Ye shouldered the rocket launcher, loaded the capsule drone into it, and went to the open ground outside the factory. He pulled the trigger!
With a crisp "snap," the capsule clearly flew out four to five meters, suddenly unfolding into a drone with a diameter of half a meter, flying forward rapidly.
Jiang Ye clicked on the control screen of the rocket launcher, maneuvering the drone to turn and fly into a pile of rocks a few hundred meters away.
The explosion was louder than a hand grenade, sending shattered rocks flying into the sky, along with a burst of flame and black smoke.
The power was considerable, equivalent to at least three or four hand grenades tied together.
If dozens of people were to wield rocket launchers and remotely bomb the Frog Mothers with capsule drones, a few volleys could rip them open. The combat value was quite good.
Finally, Jiang Ye entered the hive electromagnetic rocket launcher factory.
Production was relatively slow. He waited for over half an hour before the first rocket launcher vehicle rolled out.
Upon seeing it, Jiang Ye was immediately captivated by its appearance!
The wide, gray vehicle had two tires in the front and four in the rear, each tire as tall as his waist, with complex treads. The back of the vehicle was covered in dense clusters of launch tubes, truly resembling a beehive from afar.
It was a weapon that, at a glance, conveyed an overwhelming output of firepower.
Jiang Ye climbed into the vehicle, quickly learned to drive it, and took it for a spin in the snow-cleared wilderness outside the factory. He then stopped, aimed towards the wilderness, and pressed the launch button.
The roar of the rockets filled the cockpit, the entire vehicle vibrated violently, his eardrums felt like they were being repeatedly pierced by needles, and the tearing sound of wind was quite loud. A torrent of rockets shot into the sky, trailing white smoke trails, and the sand and dust on the ground around them were all whipped up by the strong wind.
The three hundred rockets were depleted in less than two minutes.
Through the screen, Jiang Ye remotely controlled the rockets' course correction.
The deviation was slight, but the range was sufficient. Even a tiny adjustment could lead to a significant difference in the landing point.
The Frog Mother hills, which had been detected earlier, were at the end of the firing range. Jiang Ye directly switched to satellite navigation and attempted a visual strike.
The purchased satellite was too low-resolution, and the images were unclear, but he could vaguely see small black dots between the hills, which were likely the Frog Mothers.
Jiang Ye's finger directly tapped on a Frog Mother's head. The rockets flying in the air automatically corrected their course and attacked.
The strike arrived quickly.
Brilliant smoke and dust erupted from the impact points. The three hundred rockets covered the entire area with their overwhelming firepower, with the majority directly hitting the Frog Mothers!
The Frog Mothers rapidly fired several frog-like projectiles, seemingly attempting to intercept the incoming rockets, but it was a futile struggle. They were ultimately submerged by the iron tide.
As the cloud-like yellow smoke dissipated, the Frog Mothers were motionless, either stunned or dead.
Jiang Ye sent a message to Che Zhen, asking him to check the condition of the hit Frog Mothers.
Coincidentally, Che Zhen's air fleet was nearby, and they quickly went to reconnoiter.
Che Zhen reported, "Report! The hit Frog Mother has completely exploded and is burning fiercely!"
Several aerial photos were also transmitted. The scene was horrific: large areas of the ground were scorched black, the Frog Mother looked like a crushed plastic toy with its internal components exposed, and the fire raged, signifying its complete destruction.
Jiang Ye instructed, "Send people to the Hive rocket launcher factory. They can launch rockets from outside the factory area directly to the Frog Mother hills, much faster than aircraft bombing. Sweep and kill the remaining hundred or so Frog Mothers by the end of today."
Che Zhen replied, "Yes!"
Jiang Ye was in high spirits. The firepower of the Hive rocket launchers was immense, virtually invincible against ground targets!
With a range of over six hundred kilometers, they could even strike from one province to another, almost like missiles.
Furthermore, they were incredibly cheap. The factory could produce thousands of rockets daily, so carpet bombing was the solution.
Jiang Ye drove the rocket launcher vehicle back to the factory. Three humanoid robots immediately pushed a munition cart and used mechanical arms to load the ammunition. In just three minutes, they swiftly loaded three hundred rockets, sprayed some liquid onto the launch tubes, and made a release gesture to Jiang Ye.
As his subordinates had not yet arrived, Jiang Ye decided to act as a proxy. He pulled the control lever, and the rocket launcher vehicle reversed out of the factory and turned onto the open ground.
He pressed the button and fired again!
A stream of fire covered the ground, dust billowed mightily, and a rain of projectiles shot into the sky. After flying for a while, they descended upon hills hundreds of kilometers away, accurately striking another Frog Mother.
This Frog Mother reacted just like the previous one. Upon seeing the incoming rockets, it quickly spewed out frog-like projectiles in resistance, which were utterly inadequate. It was directly doused by the iron rain and blown to death!
Jiang Ye laughed heartily. The Frog Mothers, which had previously caused him immense pressure, now seemed as fragile as plastic toys, easily crushed one by one.
