Chapter 1045 Spiral Star Interview

Six months later.

Spiral Star.

The warship slowly landed on the flat grassland. The hatch opened, and Jiang Ye descended along the ladder, stepping onto the verdant new grass.

The temperature was 26 degrees Celsius, the oxygen content was 21.5%, and the local time was one in the afternoon. The sun was shining brightly, the grass blades sparkled, and a vast sea breeze, originating from ten kilometers away, swept across countless blades of grass and touched Jiang Ye, making him feel refreshed.

"How do you feel, Commander?" Su Yueming stood beside him.

"Good, very good," Jiang Ye nodded. "It's very habitable. I'm even tempted to build a villa here for a vacation."

"Shall I build one? Should I arrange it with President Xu?" Su Yueming took out his phone.

"No need. Didn't we agree to build a new city in this location?" Jiang Ye smiled, his gaze suddenly fixed on the distance. "Are those rabbits?"

A few hundred meters away on the grassland, some white shadows were hopping through the grass.

"They should be rabbits. There are many rabbit burrows in this area," Su Yueming nodded. "Do you want to play with the rabbits? I can send someone to bring a speaker to attract them."

The electronic rabbits of Spiral Star had a peculiar trait: they became extremely excited upon hearing specific infrasound waves and were irresistibly drawn to the sound source. If a large speaker were placed here, it was estimated that within ten minutes, hundreds of fluffy white rabbits would hop over to rub against the speaker.

"No, no need," Jiang Ye shook his head. "Get ready to record."

Su Yueming immediately returned to the warship. Moments later, guards filed out and began setting up on the nearby lawn.

A table, two chairs, and surrounding cameras and recording equipment were arranged.

A young woman in a white formal suit emerged from the hatch, her expression tense, and approached Jiang Ye, bowing. "Greetings, Commander. I am the host arranged by Tang Hanliu to do this program with you. My name is Wan Anxian."

"Hello," Jiang Ye extended his hand to shake hers.

Wan Anxian was a renowned host on Birong Star, having hosted multiple prime-time programs with exceptionally high viewership. In just one year of work, her social media accounts had amassed over fifty million followers, and this number was still growing by a million daily.

Jiang Ye had inadvertently seen her on television before. His impression then was that she was very beautiful, dignified, possessed a sunny confidence, and yet also had a touch of girlish shyness. Meeting her in person now, he felt she indeed had a great temperament, exuding youthful vitality. Her smile was incredibly approachable, and her popularity was no accident.

"I've prepared a list of questions for later. Would you like to take a look? If anything is unsuitable, I can revise it in advance," Wan Anxian asked.

"Certainly," Jiang Ye nodded.

"It's an electronic version. May I add your contact information?" Wan Anxian said cautiously.

Jiang Ye hesitated for a second before taking out his phone.

"Thank you!" Wan Anxian exclaimed with delight, adding Jiang Ye as a friend and sending him an electronic file.

Jiang Ye opened it and scanned it. The questions were all standard, with only a couple of playful ones to liven up the atmosphere, all of which he could answer.

Jiang Ye's work on Spiral Star today was to record a television program that would be broadcast on major planets.

The program's content was to showcase the current situation on Spiral Star, encourage registered Spiral Star citizens from other planets to actively come and work or settle, and simultaneously reveal the next phase of Spiral Star's immigration plan.

These matters could have been announced through news broadcasts or dry official notices. However, Tang Hanliu had analyzed network data from various planets and concluded that the best way to publicize significant events was for the planet's leader to host a relaxed and enjoyable television program.

For instance, the previous live call-in programs hosted by Jiang Ye with Cen Yemeng and Isabelle had generated far more online clicks and discussion than news reports. Short video platforms would even re-broadcast segments of the program repeatedly, using algorithms to bombard every user's phone, resulting in extremely strong dissemination. Furthermore, the approachable image of planet leaders was more popular with netizens.

Jiang Ye had heeded Tang Hanliu's advice. It was just recording an interview program, which was simple.

For the grand cause of Spiral Star's development, there was nothing he wouldn't do.

"Since everything is ready, shall we begin?" Jiang Ye asked.

"Okay!" Wan Anxian nodded and gestured for him to proceed. "Please take a seat."

Jiang Ye walked to the table in the middle of the lawn and sat down. Wan Anxian immediately sat opposite him.

Although it was broad daylight at noon, the lighting technician adjusted the lights to make Jiang Ye and Wan Anxian's faces clearer and brighter.

"All departments ready! Countdown, three, two, one, begin!" the director shouted.

"Good evening, viewers. Welcome to Planet Talk Show. I am your host, Wan Anxian," Wan Anxian immediately put on her professional smile. "Today, our program is honored to host the most significant guest since its inception, Mr. Jiang Ye!"

"Hello everyone, I am Jiang Ye." Jiang Ye smiled pleasantly.

"The location of today's program is also very special. This place, to be precise, has not yet been named; it is simply a grassland," Wan Anxian continued.

"This is a grassland in the temperate zone of Spiral Star," Jiang Ye said. "It's not a studio set, nor is it special effects. We are sitting outdoors, breathing the air of Spiral Star. As for the naming of this grassland, the current plan is that once a city is established nearby and the population reaches 100,000, we will hold an online vote to select a place name."

"Actually, when I first learned that today's program was to be held on Spiral Star, I thought we would need to wear spacesuits for the interview. Later, when I found out that we didn't need to wear spacesuits and could breathe freely outdoors, I was very surprised," Wan Anxian said. "I had heard that Spiral Star was undergoing vigorous ecological transformation, and I didn't expect it to be so successful so quickly."

"To say the transformation is complete is still too early," Jiang Ye said. "Only the most basic aspects have been completed, such as gravity, total water resources, and air quality."

"Originally, the gravity level on Spiral Star was relatively low. It is taught in middle school textbooks on Jiang Ye Star, Birong Star, and Exile Star that in a low-gravity environment, the human body experiences various problems, such as infertility, visual impairment, facial swelling and redness, abnormalities in blood and cerebrospinal fluid, bone fragility, and muscle atrophy. It also leads to a large number of low-gravity diseases, the treatment costs for which are extremely high. Therefore, we increased the gravity on Spiral Star, adjusting it to a range suitable for the human body."

"The total amount of water resources affects the entire planet's humidity, rainfall density, and landforms, laying the foundation for the emergence of an ecosystem. The importance of air quality goes without saying; without a suitable atmosphere, we would be unable to live without respirators."

"I feel the air on Spiral Star is very fresh, even better than the air back in my hometown," Wan Anxian nodded.

"Of course, this is a brand-new planet," Jiang Ye chuckled.
