Chapter 526 The Interrogation

The survivor camp in Bingyuan City.

In the underground garage of a large building.

A native resident, his face covered in blood, was bound to a chair with his hands behind his back.

Several burly men from Bear Country were preparing to give him another round of punishment.

"Pfft, you damn fellow, daring to have designs on our boss's grandson, you've really lived long enough!"

"Hmph, if our boss hadn't ordered us to go easy and not kill you, I would have shown you my methods long ago!"

"These guys are nothing without their suitcases, one punch could send him to the underworld!"

"We'll give him an adrenaline shot later and interrogate him again!"

Just then, the sound of rapid high heels tapping on the ground echoed.

A tall, stunning woman with fiery red hair, wearing a flowing red dress, walked slowly with her long legs.

"How is it, did this guy confess?"

Katerina sat elegantly on a chair, crossed her legs, and asked with narrowed eyes.

Even though she was already a mother of a three-year-old, her figure was impeccably maintained, rivaling that of world-class supermodels. She hadn't experienced the five or six-fold expansion that afflicted many Bear Country women after childbirth.

Of course, this was also inseparable from her relentless private training and combat.

"Miss, this fellow is tight-lipped, refusing to say who sent him."

"I asked him why he didn't have a ring on his hand, and he said he never had one, haha, it's so funny, everyone has a ring! This guy thinks I'm an idiot and easy to fool!"

"I plan to interrogate him properly once he wakes up."

The burly man replied foolishly.

"He said he didn't have a ring on his hand, and you never considered that he might be telling the truth?"

Katerina frowned and retorted.

She knew her father had risen from the underworld, and many of his subordinates were loyal, capable, and ruthless.

However, the reason most subordinates remained subordinates and couldn't become bosses was their father's somewhat simplistic nature.

"Telling the truth?"

The two burly men exchanged glances, not quite understanding Katerina's meaning.

"Never mind, I'll interrogate him later. You guys step in if torture is needed!"

Katerina sighed helplessly and said.

"Yes, Miss!"

"The boss will be very happy to know you're willing to step in!"

The two burly men chuckled foolishly.

After a while, the man slowly regained consciousness.

As soon as he woke up, he saw the ferocious faces of the two burly men and cried out in agony:

"I've told you everything you asked! Why are you still hitting me?!"

"Are you crazy? I want to see your supervisor, I want to see your chief researcher!"

"There is no chief researcher here, only death!" Katerina sat up from her chair, walked slowly to the man's side with her long legs, her beautiful eyes exuding a chilling aura.

"You... what do you want to do?"

The man swallowed nervously, his body trembling.

Although the woman before him was incomparably beautiful, her eyes revealed a cunning and insidious nature, posing a far greater danger than the two foolish burly men.

"I will ask my questions only once. Your answers must satisfy me and be logical!"

"If I'm not satisfied with even one detail, I'll have them saw off one of your fingers!"

"I know you have ten fingers, but I have quite a few questions as well. You better be prepared!"

Katerina smiled charmingly, her smile sending shivers of fear down the man's spine.

Being beaten was merely physical pain; he could be healed instantly upon returning to headquarters or obtaining an energy core.

However, severed fingers would not regrow. Even with gene technology for limb regeneration, it would be an agonizing process.

"Ask away, I will tell you the truth, without any concealment!"

The man said nervously.

"First question, why did you come to capture my child!"

Katerina sensitively perceived that although this guy was targeting the camp, all his actions pointed towards her son. There was definitely something fishy going on.

"I've told you, all humans, including you Reincarnators, have lost the ability to reproduce. Your child is the key to saving humanity!"

"If you're willing to hand him over to me, I guarantee he will receive the most humane treatment, like a VIP guest!"

As he explained, the man didn't forget to continue his plea.

"Heh, this man is an idiot. If everyone lost the ability to reproduce, how did the young lady have a child!?"

"Yeah, he's incredibly stupid. Anyone who believes him is a fool!"

The two burly men chimed in with their retorts.

"Why don't you have a ring?"

Katerina continued to ask.

"I've told you, I am human. Humans do not have rings. Only you Reincarnators have rings!"

"This ring is both the source of your power and your restraint. Everything has two sides, doesn't it?"

The man replied.

"Vagolov, cut off his pinky finger. This fellow is not telling the truth!"

Katerina said with a cold expression.

"Yes, Miss!"

The bearded man chuckled and walked over to the man. Without a word, with a snap, a finger was severed.

The other burly man took the severed finger and playfully stuck it into his nostril.

"Ah!~"

The man screamed in pain, sweat instantly streaming down his face.

"You barbarians, you don't deserve such power! Summoning you here was a mistake!"

"If it weren't for the fact that your child is not suppressed by me, and I never expected a three-year-old child to possess such powerful combat strength... you would be my captives now!"

"But it doesn't matter, when our army arrives, they will kill you one by one!"

"You and your child will become lab rats, confined to cages, watched and experimented on until every last drop of blood and ounce of your value is squeezed out. I will then throw you into the mouths of mutated creatures like trash!"

The man roared in pain and anger.

"Mhm, he's telling the truth this time!"

"Vagolov, cut off another one of his fingers!"

Katerina said calmly.

"What? You said I was telling the truth, so why are you still cutting off my fingers?!"

The man protested in fear.

"I said, if your words don't satisfy me, I'll cut off a finger!"

"You were telling the truth just now, but the truth is too hurtful, and it displeased me greatly!"

Katerina said with a cold smile.

Snap!

Another finger.

The man struggled desperately, tied to the chair, but his weak body was of no use.

"Next, let's talk about the army. What's their configuration, how many people, and when will they arrive?"

Katerina asked again, while picking up a knife, gently slicing a piece of ham, wrapping it with pickles, and popping it into her mouth.
