Warm, moist, sweet.
After they parted, Zhang Chen was still savoring the kiss.
Kissing was such a comfortable thing!
He never knew it himself!
Zhang Chen licked his lips, sat in the chair, and looked out the window, lost in thought.
"Meow?"
Mo Ran leaped from the side onto the table, and in an instant transformed into human form, her feet dangling by the edge of the table.
She tilted her head, looking at Zhang Chen, who was daydreaming.
"You wouldn't understand, kissing a girl is so comfortable!"
Zhang Chen said, hugging his head with his hands and smiling.
"Meow!"
Mo Ran didn't understand what Zhang Chen was saying. She stretched out her small tongue and licked her paw.
Splash!
She jumped down from the table and gently licked Zhang Chen's cheek.
Suddenly, she seemed to smell something. She lowered her head and leaned towards Zhang Chen's mouth.
"Hey, hey, what are you doing? You're too forward!"
"I just kissed someone else, if I kiss you now... wouldn't that be a bit too scummy?!"
Zhang Chen muttered to himself, conflicted.
However, Mo Ran completely ignored him and reached out, parting Zhang Chen's lips.
"Hey, kissing isn't like this. How can you do it like this? It's not romantic at all!"
Zhang Chen protested.
Slurp!
Mo Ran extended her small tongue, gently curled it around a piece of dried squid caught between Zhang Chen's teeth, and ate it up in a few bites.
Then she parted his mouth again to look, and seeing that there was nothing else to eat, she walked away disappointedly.
"You... is this how you act? I just didn't take you out for lunch, and you're acting like this? So rude!"
Zhang Chen was speechless.
"Meow?!"
Mo Ran leaped lightly and jumped onto Zhang Chen's bed – which was, in fact, the only bed there.
She crouched with her bottom in the air, resting her head in front of the pillow, seemingly searching for something underneath it.
Her tail was held high, and her round little bottom swayed from side to side.
"I can't stand you, you really make me angry!"
Zhang Chen was about to stand up when he quickly shifted his gaze away.
Just then, the phone rang.
It was his mother calling.
"Hello, Mom!"
Zhang Chen quickly made a shushing gesture to Mo Ran, and then answered the phone with a nervous expression.
If his mother saw a girl in his dorm room who liked to rummage around with her backside in the air, it would be a serious matter.
"Chen Chen, are you adapting well at school?"
"I told your Aunt and the others that you got into Phoenix Academy, and they don't believe it!"
"But I ignored them. After all, our family has a rare genius, so it's normal to be envied!"
His mother said with a beaming smile.
Zhang Chen smiled awkwardly, neither confirming nor denying.
Actually, it wasn't that people were jealous of them; it was just that he had only recently found out that Phoenix Academy was a women's university.
It was understandable that people wouldn't believe a boy could get into a women's university...
"By the way, a girl was looking for you earlier, saying she was your friend. Did she find you?"
His mother changed the subject and asked with a sly smile.
Zhang Chen recognized that expression. His mother always had that smile when she heard gossip news.
Like whose child got a partner, whose child got divorced, whose child was still unmarried at an older age, and so on.
"My friend? What friend? Is it a high school classmate?"
Zhang Chen asked, surprised.
His friends were his neighbors and classmates from school; his social circle was that narrow.
He could count the girls he knew well on one hand, and they had all gone to college. How could they come looking for him?!
"Not a high school classmate. She said she's known you for a long time and you're very close, like family!"
At this point, his mother's mouth couldn't stop smiling, and she looked like she was about to burst into laughter.
"Ah? What girl is that close? I don't remember her at all?"
Zhang Chen scratched his head, completely baffled.
"Then I don't know. I told her you went to Phoenix Academy. That was a couple of days ago, so she's probably already in the capital!"
"Keep an eye out, she might find you soon."
His mother said with a smile, her eyes showing a look of relief that "her son had grown up and knew how to find a wife."
Knock, knock, knock! Knock, knock, knock!
Just then, there was a knock on the door.
"Hold on, Mom. Someone's knocking. It might be someone checking the dorms. We'll talk another day!"
Zhang Chen said hastily.
"It's alright, get along well. If you have a child, Mom can help you take care of it!"
His mother said with a smile.
"Okay, got it. What are you talking about!"
Zhang Chen hung up the phone and quickly opened the door.
He saw a girl with snow-white hair, skin as white as snow, and big eyes standing at the door, smiling at him.
"Daddy!"
